  • Windows 7 product key used accidentally twice

    Hello

When installing Windows 7 on my laptop, I accidentally used the product key and the media of Windows 7 for PC to another Member of the family. Oddly, Windows on the laptop and is successfully activated remained activated on the first PC. In any case, I now reinstalled Windows 7 on the laptop using the product key and the media that accompanies it. My question is, Microsoft, after a period of time, will disable Windows 7 on the first PC if they detect that I used the product key on another computer (even if it is only in use on the first computer again now)?

    Thanks for any help,
    Dan

On the first PC, I used the 'Change product key' option to re - enter the original product key and activate Windows again

On the laptop I reinstalled from the brackets provided with the laptop (no need activation).

Should - this to say that the first PC will continue to operate without the risk of turning off now?

Well, they use their product keys properly attributed and are activated with them - that logic dictates that you should be fine now.

This does not mean that sometime in the future, you might have another issue that requires him to become disabled, but as long as all the paperwork and the numbers are a match - the worst case are a phone call to straighten.

  • Satellite C870-1JV - how to get the product key of Windows 8?

    Hello people

Is there a way to find the product key windows 8 that was originally installed on the laptop that my laptop is not the windows sticker anywhere. I reinstalled windows once I deleted the partition by accident and now its asking me for the product key which I do not know.

As far as I know, product key used on the original recovery image can be used if you use the version of the OS. Even with the key to the sticker, you cannot enable clean version.

If you want to have the original version of Win8 (Toshiba recovery image) you must order the Toshiba restore disk and you can do it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • should I have the product key to upgrade xp to vista

My wife son died and she got her computer but no cd has no product key for xp install.do, I need a upgrade product key to custom computer Vista.the built.don't where he is a few years old. Thank you

Just create an Image backup of XP (before you upgrade) on an external USB drive. Then, whenever you may need to reinstall just Vista restore XP using the Image backup.

(I think you'll find that Windows 7 is a better choice then Vista in the transition from XP to a newer version of Windows).

Also if it built the computer then you will find the product key using a key finder utility. Download and run one of the utilities listed below.

    Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
(He did a good job of providing a wealth of information.
Displays your Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 key.
However may not detect a key to office, then try one of the other two listed below for office key).

    Also: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html
    and: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml

One final note: after you upgrade to Vista or Windows 7, you will have to install the device drivers. Go to the web site support motherboard manufactures, locate the correct mother by part number, download the appropriate drivers for Vista or Windows 7 to a folder, copy it to a USB flash /thumb. Then install after the upgrade.

    Hello

You should find an application on your laptop called Recovery Media Creator - this will allow you to create your own installation media 1 set (on disk or a usb flash drive).  See link below for more details on how to do this.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-envy-X2-11/5296226/model/5336701/document/c03481733

The product key used to activate Windows 8 is stored encrypted in the bios chip and will automatically be read if you use your recovery media to reinstall Windows.

  • How to back up and restore Office 2013 product key or registration / activation file

Warning:  I posted this on Microsoft several 'community support Sites' and if I have yet to have a real Microsoft tech support address the question of the MAN, several 'MVP', but nobody has yet come with an entirely feasible answer, although they tried. One of the guys who posted something (after that I showed him proof that there is such a thing as a Dell OEM version supplied to MS Office Home & Business 2013 - originally, there was no such animal) was that I should "go back to Dell and ask them" so here I am. My original message is copied and pasted below...

I myself have read almost blind in the last 3 days and several hours now and I still cannot get to a definitive answer so I'll rephrase the question: How can I be save the Home Office & Business 2013 'activation file"(or token) or discover and extract the full product key for it?  After that I upgraded my Windows 8.1 Professional (32-bit) Dell to win 10 Pro I had horrible crash problems. It is obvious that I have to reformat and start from scratch. I managed to get the 10 Pro Windows product key using the latest version of Belarc Advisor but I'm hit a brick wall on my installation of Office Home & Business 2013. Not only is the Dell OEM version but I had to go through Microsoft once to get a new (replacement) product because of a problem earlier, key and since it is the OEM version there is no trace of it on "my account / Office products ' Microsoft page. apparently if you don't buy the commercial version, the product key is not registered there (but it is fully registered and operational, of course). Per this Microsoft article https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Find-your-Office-product-key-after-installation-026bc81b-6b2f-4052-b433-f41e6cc31c5a?CorrelationId=ca7068f2-6a47-4d71-942c-10591d4b00ec&ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US and the Belarc program I can (and subsequently have) found the last 5 characters of the Key but that's not going to do me any good after the re-install unless I have the rest of them. I also tried all the other "key finder" programs suggested in countless other articles and none of them can find the key to the Office Home & Business 2013, or I couldn't do it in hacking / record research.  Simply, I can't believe that Microsoft has not made a provision for backup then restore a specific file "token" with the necessary info in it or extract the necessary key Code so that the Bureau could be reinstalled in the current scenario.  If all goes well a MS employee or some other Expert of the Office can provide concrete information, step by steps on how to do it.  Thanks in advance.

I sincerely hope that the other guys on the Microsoft Forums sent me in the right direction here; as the pesky Key Code for office 2013 has got to be stored in an accessible location (it is not on any Microsoft server that is accessible by our end users, that's for sure) and there must be some program or methodology around there to recover and decode the thing so it may be reinstated when the program is reinstalled...

This is the only place you will get your key. Finders key as Advisor of Berlarc do not give the full product key 25 digits unlike Office 2010 and earlier versions.

Main finders are useless for Windows 10 family as the free update uses based device activation and key finders will signal a generic product key. See here:

    Hello

I'm a developer attempts to deploy Windows Server 2008 R2 with Windows OPK.

  • A malware infection can allow someone to steal the OS product key

We bought a brand new emachines computer may 2011. It became badly infected the long side of the CPU being incredibly powerful. I could not upgrade the processor itself because it has been integrated on the motherboard.

Then I reinstalled the operating system after getting a new motherboard and processor. Everything else is the same exact parts. Same hard drive and all.

His PC was infected again and I had to rewipe the HARD drive and reinstall. But now the computer becomes a message that the product key is not valid and it cannot be a copy authentic. I was able to activate by phone immediately after the installation and he said it succeeded, this happens with the old card mother and cpu too.

So could you stole the key and use it now after that it has been infected either time?

Operating system is Windows 7 Home premium.

No, its unlikely that the product key has been stolen and you may experience issues related to product key used on a different motherboard, although they might be similar models.
