Product: Windows operating system ID: 256 symbolic name: WRN_INTERFACE_CHANGE_TIMED_OUT

I am unable to get my laptop in STANDBY MODE and check for the problem, I got the info:
Product: Windows Operating System: Event ID: 256: Source: PlugPlayManager: Version: 5.2: symbolic name: WRN_INTERFACE_CHANGE_TIMED_OUT:Message: Timed out sending notification of device interface change to window of "% 1".
COULD SOMEONE LET ME KNOW HOW TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. WHEN I CLOSE THE LAPTOP, IT WILL NOT GO IN STANDBY MODE.
THANKS TO ALL WHO COULD HELP SINCERELY.

Salvation of Cox,

1. what happens when you try to enter standby mode?

2. you receive an error message?

I suggest you to follow the steps from the link and check if it helps.
