Two U2713HM, T5610 Precision, Quadro K4000

Hello

I bought a new DELL T5610 with quadro k4000 for use with two 2713HM monitor with

resolution of 2560 x 1600. What ports I need to use?, graphics card has 2 dp 1, 2 ports, 1 port dvi-d-l.

I want to use two screens with a resolution of 2560 x 1600

You can't make 2560 x 1600 with the U2713HM. On the U2713HM, DVI - D and DisplayPort will be max to 2560 x 1440. Open the User Guide. Right there at the top it states that the maximum resolution is 2560 x 1440.

Maximum resolutions of Quadro K4000 are =
DP (DisplayPort) 1.2 3840 x 2160
DVI - I, 1920 x 1200

Because of the Quadro K4000 DVI - I DL 1920 x 1200 limitation, don't use it.

Computer/Quadro K4000 DP on-->--> (#1) DP U2713HM DP cable in DP = 2560 x 1440 (maximum U2713HM)

Computer/Quadro K4000 #2 DP on--> DP to DP cable--> (#2) U2713HM in DP = 2560 x 1440 (maximum U2713HM)

-J' read some articles said: "quadro and gtx can consolidate upward in a PC. is it really possible? because some people said yes and some people said no and some people said yes but do not work together blah blah. I really want to know about it, because now I have these 2 GPU. and if YES. can you show me how do?

There are two my PC specs:

Can someone help me build these 2 PC in only 1 PC possible?

Yes, they will work together if you install the right driver. Use the Quadro for output and map of 760GTX like the GPU acceleration.

No official support from HP, but it is certainly going to work.

  • Problems with NVIDIA Quadro K4000

I have a new HP with a NVIDIA Quadro K4000 workstation. Premiere Pro does not recognize, so "The Mercury Playback Engine's GPU acceleration" is not available. Does anyone know how to force Premiere Pro to recognize material?

I'm new to this forum... Thanks for any help you can provide!

I just did a clean uninstall / reinstalling the Nvidia driver, and that seems to fix the problem. Just somehow install / reinstall was not enough. I had to go directly to the site for a new driver package.

Thank you very much for your help! I am very grateful.

  • More slow cs5.5 Ae using Quadro K4000 instead of over-pants V3800 3D

    Hello, world of After Effects!

A user reported French ( http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1338571?tstart=0 ) slower presents in preview and returns when he went to a 3D ATI over-pants V3800 a Quadro K4000 with 331 drivers on the HP Z400 under Cs5.5.

Is this normal? If it must optimize something?

After Effects CS5.5 used the GPU for almost nothing, so there should be no difference in the rendering, either for previews or final returns.

The only exception is if it uses the OpenGL preview rendering engine, which nobody should ever do for everything except the harshest of previews. Don't forget that we have thrown this converter away when we moved to After Effects CS6. Anyone using it in After Effects CS5.5 should be told to stop.

  • Implementation of new z820 and Quadro K4000

We are established a new HP z820 with a Quadro K4000 card.  When we look at After Effects CS6 preferences, Ray-tracing settings do not select a GPU and CUDA box is gray.  The OpenGL box shows the card Quadro... Seems that something is not here.

    Advice please?

The K4000 is not a map that uses After Effects to the GPU of the 3D rendering engine acceleration traced to the RADIUS.

  • Over-pants W7000 or Quadro K4000

I'm about to buy a graphics card

    I'm between Over-pants W7000 and Quadro K4000

I know that Adobe supports the OpenCL in news is so the AMD solution is an option.

    But I have the problem.

I'm not entirely sure if the rendering 3DRay tracing in after effects has the openCL or CUDA accelerated is only
because I read that OpenCL entirely does not support some features and plugins.

    So, what do you propose?

I'm not interested to buy a consumer card game so pls don't tell me on GeforceGTX or HD products

Thanks in advance for your answer

    > I would like to know if Adobe is planing to OpenCL for this kind of tasks in the near future

The raytraced 3D in After Effects render engine is built on top of the Nvidia OptiX library, based on CUDA. It will never work with OpenCL. Remember that this is only a feature, however, and there are other ways to work with 3D in After Effects, including the latest features to integrate After Effects with CInema 4 d.

    > Then... you recommend the K4000 Quadro...

I don't see where someone said. This card is not on the list of the tested and supported in the current version.

    > That's why I need a business card.

I think that it is incorrect to refer to the Quadro cards as a "more professional". They offer different features. So raw CUDA calculation is what you're after, the GTX cards do very well. The establishment of a system of 'professional' is only spend what you need on the functions you will use actually (and then using the savings on other components, such as RAM and SSD, that make a huge difference in performance).

We spend a lot of time talking with our partners at Nvidia on this subject, and they are happy to recommend as the 690 GTX cards for use with applications like After Effects.

Of the four cards that they asked us to test then, three of them are GTX cards, because it is those who know (and we know) suited to the use of After Effects and other creative software. (The other being the K6000, which is a nice powerful card).

I'm not trying to tell you that you must get a card or another. Just trying to make sure that you don't dismiss an entire category of hand without more research of your choice.

However, I got a message at or near the end of the installation. NVIDIA Installer reports the success in installing '.

However him concern is a message popped up on the screen, who said:

"driver NVidia open Gl detected a problem with the display driver and can not continue."

Error code 3 would be a real source of concern?

Given that the installation program has reported a successful installation, you should be OK. As ssprengel says there are operations in the background that may interfere with the installation of the driver. Normally close all open applications (LR, PS, browsers, etc.) before you start the installation, that's all you need to do. If LR and other applications now work properly, I wouldn't worry on this subject.

  • Any idea when NVIDIA K2000 and K4000 will be available?

I bought these cards for two new machines based on the promotion on the website NVIDIA for Adobe Premiere and After Effects, only to receive the built machines, cards and installed software and oops, no recognition of Adobe products.  Anyone has any idea if these tips are evaluated by Adobe for inclusion?  I need to know to shoot and get the former 2000 and 4000 (no K designation).  I hate having to come down for a week, if that could be coming soon.

However, after the execution of his program, a file that had rendereded in 1 h 30 in my old system (with the GTX580) took 3 hours and 25 minutes with the unrecognized Quattro and is currently scheduled to take 5 hours and 10 minutes with the recognized Quattro card.

Do a test project very simple and short with a video file that is 'well known' with a 'well-known' resolution and codec, for example an MPEG2 1080 p 30. Run tests coding / made on machines, note settings and time on each race.  Swap the GTX 580 and Quadro K4000 between both, install the drivers, rerun the tests. Let us know what you find.  If the results are as expected - for example the new system is faster - then something is fishy with your source and/or project files.

  • 10-bit without Quadro screen option

    Hi all

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 is considerably more powerful than the NVIDIA Quadro K4000 and about 350 pounds less expensive in many ways. For video work that is accepted, but I also edit in Photoshop, where the manipulation of bits 10 [K4000] would be a definite advantage.

If anyone knows if there is a PCIe card that can be added to provide 10-bit monitor output while maintaining the superior performance of the 780.

I use an Asus P9X79-E WS MB with 32 GB of Dominator Platinum DDR3 installed, so I don't think the qualities of slot or memory should be a problem.

    Best regards

    LJ

In a note, I'm not interested in graphics 3D or Cad, usual just to editing video/Still and MS Office Apps.

Yes, that would be correct. I think that the Quadro drivers now include the Geforce drivers again but I have not checked in a while. If they don't you must uninstall the current Geforce drivers installed. Then install the latest driver for Quadro performance for the card. If the Geforce does not install at this time there so you want to manually install the GeForce driver. To do this simply run the latest Geforce Installer until it extracted in the Nvidia directory. Then, cancel the installation. Go to Device Manager and double click on the graphics card for the 780GTX. Select the driver tab and then update driver. Point the location of the folder in the directory for the driver Geforce Nvidia. Who manually install the driver without doing the Quadro installs.

  • in Adobe Premiere elements 13, exit rendered freezes on an image, here and there, from time to time.

    Hello everyone!

I am trying to output render a film either in MPG2 or DV Avi

and when I play the video rendering result regardless of the format, sometimes it freezes on certain images, sometimes it's here, sometimes here.

    Here are the specs:

Source: (3d animations made with Softimage) 75 shots 40sec max min 2 sec, resulting in 14 min 30 sec Avi movie PAL lower field 720 x 576 uncompressed

animations are perfect, and play them on the timeline don't show any freezing point.

for an example of the size: a shot 40sec weighs 1.5 GB

I use Adobe Premiere elements 13

my computer is a 2.1 Ghertz two processors 8.1 Windows 64-bit 32 GB RAM graphics card: NVIDIA Quadro K4000

Thanks if you can help me.

Unfortunately, "new and quick" don't tell me what on your computer. Apple MacBook Air are new and fast - but you'll go crazy trying to edit any serious video on them.

That said, I agree with you. Uncompressed opinion are not only inefficient format to transfer video DVDs, but they're also massive in size and difficult to transport. But if that's what your customer wants, it's what he wants.

In the meantime, there is no reason that your finished video playback should freeze on a fast enough computer - unless you use a media player that don't handle some files well. And, if you are viewing your videos with Windows Media Player, you view on a drive that does not support some files well.

Download the excellent and free VLC Media Player, one of the must have free utilities that I recommend to my books on Amazon. It will play almost any video format, and he's fine play.

  • Suspected flaw in Firefox color 35 management behavior

I hope I can keep this concise, but bear with me if my confusion causes me include some superfluous information. The info below is what, in my view, is necessary for someone else to understand the question.

    BACKGROUND:

-NECPA271W range wide-screen configuration double with a standard range Samsung 245BW monitor

    -Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

    -Nvidia Quadro K4000

-The latest versions of FireFox (v35 32 - bit), IE11 (updated 11.0.9600.17498 updated to 11.0.15 32-bit) & before (Ultimate 2015 build 7, used for testing because it integrates the rendering engines of 3 major browsers, IE v 11.0.9600.17496, v 34.05.5464 FireFox and Chrome v39.0.2172.95)

-i1Display Pro (not the NEC SVSensor version), SpectraView II, NEC Multiprofiler & i1 Profiler

-Two monitors are calibrated and profiled. The NEC is calibrated using SVII, but because the software only supports NEC monitors, the 245BW must be done using the i1Profiler software that comes with the Pro i1Display. SVII is able to generate ICC v2 profiles, i1 Profiler is able to v2 and v4 and v4 is recommended. , However, I think that this whole ball is not relevant to the effect that I'm observing.

-J' recently started selling some of my photographs on a site of fine art.  So I started to dig deeper into how these images are read by others and printed later. Images optimized to sRGB for the best possible results to display on a widely varied base Viewer will not give the same results as images that are soft-soundproofed and optimized for a specific combination of printer/ink/media. This is especially true of my images which a tend to lean in the direction of being more highly saturated & more wide gamut

-J' have been exhaustive over the info here COLOR MANAGEMENT PHOTOSHOP CS6 CC based color management ICC profile color theory spaces calibrated monitor professional... & http://cameratico.com/tools/web-browser-color-management-test/ , among many others here.

I had reached a point where I thought I knew things pretty well, but now I'm not sure what yet, here's the problem:

I followed the advice and info on how to configure FireFox to color management (value 1 with associated monitor profile) which allows manipulating images unmarked and the elements of the web page, http://cameratico.com/guides/firefox-color-management/. After restarting Firefox with configuration of updates, I'll be back on trial in http://cameratico.com/tools/web-browser-color-management-test/ the last two tests there are designed to show a) how much more wide range of your screen that is sRGB, and b) how the browser handles elements and images not tagged.

The behavior I see is different from the behavior, I expect! Specifically, setting FIrefox to value of color management 1 and say things to my monitor profile causes Firefox to display the sRGB tag images as if they were not the tag. 2/no default monitor profile, I see a difference between display sRGB tag images and the image labeled ProPhoto RGB or the sRBG marked and unmarked elements CSS. I think that changing the value 1 with monitor profile should have no impact on the display of the images marked and elements, and still spend ONLY causes a change in the display behavior of images Tags should not influence, and I can see is no longer a difference between the different images because everything is fully saturated

Marked A screenshot showing the behavior of comparison between different browsers and applications would probably be worth more that the proverbial 1000 words, I'm new here & don't understand this part yet, but this will display as is while I'm working on it.

Can someone reproduce the behavior that I observe? Is someone spot a mistake in my thinking?

    TIA

    Randy

    * EDIT - I have annotated a screenshot comparing the results in 4 browsers. The screenshot has a profile embedded Adobe RGB that best represents the effects and changes I was / am seeing but cannot be kept if posted here. It may be better to download and view in CS6 order to is not to introduce any additional confusion arising from the browser YOU are using may be :-) If necessary full resolution of 2560 x 1440 version is available, but implemented nationally to meet the limits of 900 x 900 forum makes the text unreadable. Can anyone suggest a way to provide the file kept full resolution with the embedded profile?

Using Firefox 35.0 and a wide range of Eizo CG246, I see no problem in the test browser CM (I had to desaturate the gamut test so that he can survive the sRGB conversion, but the Green is not yet fully in sRGB. "But it's just an illustration in any case):

So. A couple of things from the start:

Firefox will use the profile for the main display. It does not support a configuration dual monitor. If you move FF to the secondary display, it will always use the profile of the main screen.

You need not tell Firefox to your display profile. In fact, you don't not probably to avoid any problems. Like any other application of color management, Firefox takes up profile defined as system by default at startup. No user intervention required. If you change the default system, Firefox needs to be restarted to load the new profile.

This is true for both mode 1 and mode 2. They both use the display profile, but mode 1 assigns sRGB to any untagged material. Mode 2 just past untagged straight by unmanaged. The mode 1 is to correctly display the documents not marked even on a range wide screen (unsaturated). Material tagged will be managed properly in both modes. Mode 0 is one that is completely non-managed and does not use the display profile.

    ---

All that being said, I noticed that Firefox has a few small problems with display LUT profiles. It is not immediately noticeable, but if you watch that blacks are a bit clipped. With profiles of matrix does not occur this clipping and FF absolutely identical to Photoshop poster. I didn't notice any problems with the v4 vs. v2, although v4 support must be enabled manually.
