Program install problem that requires a 64-bit operating system.

I can't install a program that requires that my computer is 64-bit.  I get an error message that says that it is not a 64 bit system.  When I look at my CPU information, he said that it is an AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core Processor 3800 +.  What gives here?  I'm edition XP SP3 Windows Media rumming.  There I'm missing something, but don't know what to look for.  Thanks for any help.  Frankycpu

No, you are not understanding what say you. It does not require
your computer 64-bit, it requires your version of Windows to
be 64-bit.

Your hardware is capable of running 64-bit Windows, but you
running 32-bit Windows on it.
