  As far as I know, the System Builder License means that you are supposed to install it on a machine that you sell to a third party.

  You don't need the Kit.

  Install in the usual way:

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  I recently bought the Pack Windows 7 SP1 OEM System Builder and I don't know if I bought the right product. I had to replace my HARD drive (old one crashed) and I felt it was time to leave the world of XP. It will be installed on an existing computer that does not have to be sold.   The main advantage with the retail license is the clause that allows the easy between future materials transfer if that's the case, but I wouldn't worry too much on this subject.

  System requirements say IE8 should work with SP1 is installed. Maybe it's because SP1 support ends July 12, 2011 and IE8 can not download without installation of the Service Pack 2 for Vista

  End of support for Vista with SP2 does not end until April 11, 2017.

  I managed to solve the problem: the file has been locked because it was used by ControlCenter4 brother for some reason any. Kill the process allowed me to remove the folder and to proceed with the installation.
