Program Setup, CQ1-1012AN error. Winows 7 Home Premium

Model CQ1-1012AN. Winows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 32-bit operating system

So far, I was able to install a new software/updates without any problem.

Suddenly, during the installation, I get the error message:

Setup could not create the directory "C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Temp\...tmp". error 5: access denied

The problem manifests itself with a different set of .exe files, I tried.

Is there an easy way to solve this problem?

Hello

That sounds like a permissions issue, try the following.

It is a utility that will add "Take Ownership" to the contextual right click menu.  The download is on the following link.

Appropriating

It is a zipped file.  If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip , which can be used to open it so that you can run the Setup program.  Then just right click the folder zipped, select 7 - Zip, select extract files and click Ok.  When you're done, open the newly extracted folder and you can find the utility to add "Take Ownership" to the right click menu.  Double-click it to install it and then close the window.

Then, in the Start Menu, open Control Panel and open Folder Options.  Click the view tab, check the radio button that says "Show hidden files, folders and drives" and then click on apply to save this change.

Browse to the location C\Users\your user name\AppData\Local right-click the Temp folder, and then select 'Take Ownership'

Close all windows open and then click on the Start Menu, open the control panel and open Folder Options.  Click the view tab, check the box titled "do not show hidden files folders", and then click on apply to save this change.

Reboot the laptop.

Kind regards

  • Chinese programs is not compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium?

I was hoping to find can run Chinese programs and show the characters without the language pack in windows 7?

Under Vista, I can't read my Chinese games because he presents himself as funny signs. Will this be a problem on Windows 7 if I do not use the Ultimate Edition and the language pack?

    Hi pchau,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Community Forums.

In Windows Home Premium, you will not be able to change the display except French, Spanish, German, Japanese and English language.

To change your display in Chinese language, you need to purchase Windows 7 Upgrade Ultimate License.

After that, you must download and install Multi User Interface Language pack from Windows Update and install it to modify and use your programs display in Chinese language.

    ·         Please see the link below for how to do to get the additional display language and edit them.

  • A backup copy of programs of productivity on a windows 7 Home premium 64-bit PC back to a new windows 7 Professional 64 bit PC?

My task: I backed up all productivity software to a windows 7 home premium 64 - bit PC (which is currently retired) on an external hard drive. I want to use several of these programs on a new PC running windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS. I think I may have several ways to accomplish this task and seeks your advice on the following techniques.

    1. I could remove the hard drive from the old PC and use it as a second hard drive in the new PC. If I do that I must leave the operating system on the drive?

    2. can I just restore my backup to the new PC?

    3. even though I have the original program CD, license restrictions limit the number of times, some programs can be installed and activated. I have addressed the issues of licensining to several software manufacturers of my software, including shade (by PaperPort, Omnipage, etc.) and am waiting for answers.

    4. I also consider the creation of a system dual boot, but I believe that the windows 7 Home Edition premium OS should be the default OS. This change would probably cancel my warranty with HP.

5 Please, don't limit your answers to the above ideas. I would appreciate your help or suggestions on the best way (if any) to accomplish my task.  Thank you.

Programs don't return because there is more than one program that just running the main folder.

When a program installs it puts the files in the Windows system folders. If these files are not present in the active operating system, they most likely will not work. Much depends on how dependent of the program is on files in system folders.

If you have the original CD for the programs in question, re - install. Relative to the license, as long as the programs are installed and running on a single computer ONLY, there should be no problem at all...

When you program discs, there is no point in dual-boot. Don't make life more difficult for yourself...

  • Setup does nothing - SP1 of win7 Home premium 64-bit - vmware 7.1.4

    Hey there!

I'm trying to install VMWare Workstation on my Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium 64 - bit system 7.1.4.

My computer is an Alienware M14x, Intel i7 2820QM, NVidia GT555M with 3 GB, 8 GB ram, 750 GB HARD drive.

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 was shipped with it.

I had a race VMWare 7.0 or 7.1 (don't remember the exact version) and I clicked on update.

Since then, no installation of VMWare shows same anything.

When I click on "run as Administrator" and confirm it nothing happens.

I tried the 7.0 Version 7.1.1 7.1.2 and 7.1.4. Version 6.5 installs but fails to launch the GUI.

I also tried everything serving vm-ware and manual uninstall. Weather any VMWare service, nor any VMWare or Registryentry file is left to my system.

What can I do to return VMWare to run my Windows XP?

    Thanks in advance!

    -Julian

    Welcome to the community,

If you get nothing - not even an empty window - check the processes running in the Task Manager to see if 'fixcamera.exe' or 'webcam.exe' is running. If so, kill the process and restart the installation of VMware Workstation.

You can also take a look at http://faq.sanbarrow.com/index.php?solution_id=1113 for common installation issues and how fix/workaround them.

  • Bluetooth doesn't work does not correctly after the installation of Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 (SP2) on Dell laptop

I searched this forum and almost all resources on the net for days now nothing works.  Give the message to a thread more appropriate that I couldn't find one that is truly representative and am a newb at this.

Summary of the problem: Bluetooth connectivity does not work properly after the window Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and 2 installation (SP 1 and 2).

    My system:

Laptop Dell Inspiron E1705, 32-bit Winows Vista Home Premium SP2, Dell Wireless Bluetooth 355 Module + EDR 2.0

    * My system was purchased in 2006 with Windows XP, but was not entitled to a free Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade I did. I installed Windows Service Pack 1 and 2 about a week ago.

Problem: After downloading and installing the Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and 2 (SP 1 and 2), my system does not recognize my Bluetooth (a touch of Sprint also) device known as the HTC Vogue.  I stress that I have not had any problems with this device before downloads.  I can't revert to the pre - SP State 1 and 2 because my system restore does not have these points more.

I have read several posts on various sites about people having similar problems with Bluetooth connectivity after the Vista SP 1 and 2 facilities.  The problem is obviously the need for an updated driver.  I went to the site to download driver Dell and the Blueooth only updates available are the following. (Note: these drivers all date from 2006 and 2007).

    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=RC956904&l=en&s=pub&SystemID=INS_PNT_P4_9400&os=WLH&osl=en&servicetag=&catid=-1&impid=-1&deviceid=12084&libid=5&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&releaseid=R159805&formatcnt=1&vercnt=1

I had these installed before the SP 1 and 2 have been installed and they worked very well. After the upgrade, these drivers do not work.  They won't recognise BT devices.  I tried to upgrade the drivers by using update Broadcom suggested below it, but an error of following installation to contact Dell.

    http://www.Broadcom.com/support/Bluetooth/update.php

I contacted Dell via e-mail and on the phone, but they want to charge me $60 for a one time service call just to talk about the problem because my warranty has expired. Provide updated drivers is not a problem of security in my opinion.  Even after explaining the situation, their continuous support to just send me the link to download Driver Dell above with out-of-date drivers.  I guess that's what they are charged to do, they do not have to admit a problem of compatibility.  This obviously the same link they would charge $60 to send.  I explained that I need just a Bluetooth Driver from Dell to at least version 6.3.   Needless to say, I will never buy another Dell product.

On my end, I tried to uninstall my current drivers and then by installing a newer driver to support Gateway (Version 6.2.1.500 for and Acer).  This allows me to install some parts of this update and the update Broadcom. However, it is not a perfect installation and expires after about 90% saying "this update is not for this system" because it is the gateway not Dell to be provided.  Displays the version of the driver on my computer is Version 6.3.5.430 after doing this, but it is not a complete installation and some features are not available.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? I would like to have a link with some bluetooth drivers generic Version 6.3 type which will allow me to use the Broadcom link to upgrade to the last version that works with Vista SP 1 and 2.

    Thank you for your help.

  • How to display Chinese characters in Windows 7 Home Premium?

I see Chinese characters very well in my browser, but all I see are boxes instead the characters for the programs on my computer (running Windows 7 Home Premium). What I want to know is this: is there a way to display Chinese computers in windows?

Before I am flooded with a bunch of useless answers telling me to install the "language pack", I must repeat: I'm under Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM. Yes, I tried going to Microsoft Updates and download the language pack. Unfortunately, I can't see the link for me to download the language pack, since I am running Home Premium, but in operating systems, the ability to see the other languages has been included. In other words, just because I'm running updated the operating system compared to some of the older operating systems, I don't see another language, unless I pay update.
    Seriously, Microsoft? Seriously?
Also, I have in fact look around here to try to find a solution to my problem. Unfortunately, no one ever really answered it. Because the only problem here seems to be a complete disregard of the user and the will to pull as much money on Windows users unhappy. Windows, that is why your stock is lagging. And why I must say that you are unable to many ways to Apple. But if there is a solution, please, by all means, I'm willing to change my assessment.
    Sincerely,
A frustrated and unhappy Windows user.

Well, the answer you don't hear or see is the only solution.

    Take or leave.

Note: Multilingual User Interface Pack MUIs are available in Windows 7 ultimate through Windows Update as optional updates. They are not installed automatically. If you are using Windows 7 Enterprise, contact your system administrator for more information about installing additional languages.

Follow the steps mentioned below to get additional languages.

    (a) open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, typeUpdate , and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.

    (b) in the left pane, click check for updates , and then wait while Windows searches the latest updates for your computer.

    (c) if updates are found, click on Select optional updates.

    (d) select the MUI that you want, and then click OK.

    (e) click install updates.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
