\ProgramData\Adobe\ARM\

Hello

Adobe Reader X 10.0.1 on server 2008R2 version.

On my 10 servers accessible by Citrix by our users a hundred, I've got about 700 files in ProgramData\Adobe\ARM\ with 1400Go on each server and more every week!

Using GPO, I disable updates and feedback reports but files continue to grow.

Is there a way to avoid this?

Kind regards.

You have not previously mentioned folders with user names and I can't comment on that.

Anything under the \ProgramData\Adobe\ARM folder can be deleted safely.

Good luck

  • Whenever I open a PDF document, I get a screen pop all few minutes cabbage Adobe.ARM says Windows cannot access the specified... maybe not permissions.  Otherwise, the document is correct.  How can I get rid of this message?

Although PDF documents open and close normally otherwise, I get of an annoying pop-up message as follows box:

    Head: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe

Message: Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.  You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

We have uninstalled Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard, rebooted, installed Acrobat Standard 10. That didn't work so we deleted all the registry keys and entries after uninstalling Acrobat Standard 10, then we have installed Adobe Acrobat Professional 10 - still nothing does not. Why this keep happening? What could be wrong? The user is in the Group of the "unlimited" permission so it may not be a permission setting.

You encounter the error of standard operating system.

    Try the Forums Adobe research.

Some people have luck disabling antivirus

That's what I found (do not know if you will be able to see it as I'm logged in when searching)

    s http://forums.Adobe.com/search.jspa?resultTypes=&DateRange=all&peopleEnabled=true&q=window + not + access + the + specified + %2 C + way to Unity 2% C + or + file & containerType =-1 & container =-1 & cont ainerName = & username = & rankBy = date & numResults = 15

If none of the solutions work for you, you can disable automatic updates in the Edit\Preferences\Updater menu, but will need to install the updates manually.

  • ARM rests can be removed?

There are 2.8 GB of files of ARM on my computer.  They are located in C:/ProgramData/Adobe/ARMS/and in the records of previous versions (Reader_10.0.1, Reader_10.1.4, Reader_10.1.5, Reader_10.1.6 and Reader_10.1.7).  I need the space (it's a 40 GB drive with less than 2 GB of free space).  All or part of these files/folders can be deleted?

We are currently running Player 10.1.7 and 2.7 GB of above mentioned files are in the folder "Reader_10.0.1".

There were 1 668 records whose path begins with "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\ARM\Reader_10.0.1\" that contains the files AcrobatUpdater.exe, AdobeARM.exe, AdobeExtractFiles.dll and ReaderUpdater.exe.  Each of these files are approximately 1 805 080 bytes.

Overall, there was 5003 directories and 6645 files containing 2,989,359,555 bytes!

In a command prompt window, I've navigated to "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\ARM" and then ran the command "dir /s > arm.txt.  When I open in Excel, it's an amazing 18 326 lines long!

So I uninstall all the software adobe reader, adobe, adobe flash and adobe shockwave arms programs.  Restarted the computer.  Delete these files (which were still there).  And then reinstalled Flash and Shockwave.  They have Adobe Acrobat Reader is not required.

All I can say is that I hope it's a glitch isolate.  I wouldn't think that Adobe ARM resumes gigabytes on hundreds of thousands of computers!

  • Update fails, uninstall Adobe with Error 1303

I had an employee report that he could not open the PDF files.

I go to his machine, and thought which is strange Adobe Reader X is not installed.  I have re-installed and think a lot about it.

About 10 minutes later, he called again and he was missing once again.

I've delved into the issue and concluded that when the update is running and running because I have it set to automatically install updates, it fails with an error:

Error 1303 the installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: c:\program files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0.  The installation cannot continue.  Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator.

I tried to take possession of the Adobe folder under c:\programdata\, and one located in c:\program files (x 86) \Common files and inherited the correct permissions.

I restarted the machine and the update always uninstall Adobe and then fails to install the update.

I thought it's Kaspersky which is interfering, but best I can tell I have disabled policy and each component of Kaspersky and it always fails to apply the update.

    Any ideas?

Also, the user is an administrator account, I double checked.

Has exactly the same problem on Win 7 x 64 system.  After making many changes to permissions and properties, restored to a point before that these changes, disabled windows firewall, installed the windows KB947821 hotfix and then put to day/install Adobe X (10.1) and it worked. Not sure if it was the fix or disable the firewall, since I did both at the same time.  Note: When you install the hotfix, it hangs at about 70%.  In fact, it scans your system, so let it run its course.  Good luck and let me know if it works for you.

  • Adobe Acrobat seems to be frozen

I have problems with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. It was working fine until yesterday, when it seems to seize up - I can't open to read PDF files at all.

    • When I double-click the icon in the apps folder, a popup box informs me that the app "is not open more" (this, even if in the dock, the small black dot appears next to the drive icon, which normally indicates an application is open).
    • However, if I try to drag the drive icon to the trash, I learned from a second box of pop - up that the app "cannot be moved to the Trash because it is open."

-J' stop force does not work, no matter how I try:

    • When I click and hold the icon in the dock and the dialog, I select the force quit, but nothing happens.
    • When I go to force quit menu Apple and select Acrobat and click on leave force to it, nothing happens.

At this point, I just want to remove it so that I can re-install the app and be able to read my PDF files even once.

I'm under El Capitan (towards 10.11.3) on a MacBook Pro. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

  • Error code 1317 when installing Adobe Reader

I get the following error message when I try to install adobe reader:

Error 1317.An error occurred while attempting to create the directory

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Replicate

    Hello

Error 1317 is related to authorization. This is a Ko from Adobe it referring to XP, but basically, it's the same thing that you do as well on Windows 7. http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/332/332541.html

    Adobe Reader.

I tired for more than a week to get this mess straightened out. This Adobe file is pernicious.

Of course, looks like it could be a virus or corrupt files.  Here are a few things you can check.

Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    -

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    -

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

    `

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC closes automatically after opening

After the version previous completely uninstall 11 (using Adobe program cleaner too), we still have a problem with the installation of DC. It installs fine but when opening close automatically after a few seconds (8-10). Have tried several uninstalls, reinstall, reboot. No error message anywhere, everything disappears. Has anyone else has experienced this problem before?

It turns out that the following folder should be deleted: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore such that she had an old V11 lic file in there. Once I deleted the folder and reopened DC, it worked normally and could be activated.

I stumbled upon the fatal sign in glitch loop when using creative Cloud, at the opening of my downloaded software that I am invited to to connect, after I put in my newspaper in details and he accepts it, the same sign in the command prompt appears again.

I tried to put an end to the process, quiting CC tree and delete the opm.db file in the OOBE local then opening CC and try again, but I still get the same prompt message.

Is there a way to fix this?

    Please, try the following steps:

    • Log out of the desktop application Adobe Creative Cloud (connect and disconnect activate Cloud Creative applications)
    • Browse to the location: [system drive]: \ProgramData\Adobe
    • Rename the folder 'SLStore' to 'SLStore_old '.
    • Browse to the location: [system drive]: \Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe
    • Rename the folder 'SLCache' to 'SLCache_old '.
    • Connect to the desktop Adobe CC app
