Programmatically by specifying the configuration information

Hello

I would like to specify the configuration (for example cacheconfig, pof config, etc.) programmatically to CacheFactory. Is this possible to do?
I use c# NO JAVA.

Nitin jegou

Hi Nitin,

If you look at the API documentation, you will see that the configuration programmatically methods take a string resource name or an actual Tangosol.IO.Resources.IResource instance as an argument. The first is simply a convenient feature that allows you to use the resource URI provided by the ResourceLoader to create an instance of IResource.

Although there is no implementation of out-of-the-box for StringResource, it is trivial to implement one:

    public class StringResource : AbstractResource
    {
        private string m_resource;

        public StringResource(string resource) : base("string")
        {
            m_resource = resource;
        }

        public override Stream GetStream()
        {
            return new MemoryStream(Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(m_resource));
        }
    }

Now that you have the configuration programmatically is trivial as well:

CacheFactory.SetCacheConfig(new StringResource(cacheConfigString));
CacheFactory.SetPofConfig(new StringResource(pofConfigString));

    Hello

    19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

    Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
    a process that solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
    Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
    RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

    Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
    cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

    Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
    ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
    contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
    manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

    Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
    Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

  • Properly using Configuration information/files

    I read in previous posts on the forum and have scoured the internet looking for information, but I still don't feel I know how to properly use the configuration information for my program.

    Basically, this program is a large-scale application that requires a ton of configuration information (as opposed to simply specifying constants).  The reason why I'm doing this is because scientists so as we want to be able to adjust almost any setting at any time.  Right now, I use a standard .ini file (which becomes unwieldy).  There are 7 main segments for my program (exit HW, entry HW, network Comms, Calc, etc.) that need to have configuration information stored.  There are currently 178 different "sections" with up to 7 "keys" by section.

    I thought to...

    1. with the help of a single configuration file.  It becomes unwieldy, and being able to change the settings at any time can lead to a ton of old config files (each file is stamped and recorded so that all old config may be available time/date).  Create a parser for it's a bear.

    2 using the several configuration files.  Looks better, but this led to 7 config files and 7 scanners of config file to maintain.

    3. go with a config XML format file.  I'm not too familiar with this, but it seems more scalable than .ini.

    4. using an Excel file with the columns and rows that are monitored for configuration information.  Doesn't seem to be the way to go... (because there are a lot of different sections and each section has different types of keys)

    I'm just confused on how to tackle this problem now.  Help or direction would be appreciated.

  • Add an attribute of the element configuration table type programmatically.  How can I specify the type of table?

    I am trying to add a configuration item that is an array of strings.  I don't know how to do this programmatically and have it show as an array of strings.  I would like people to be able to use the client of vCO and only change these if needed is.  I managed to add items, but they appear as "modified".  I can retrieve all ok by programming, but I guess since one can table actually waiting variant values is done deal as the generic object rather than an array of strings.  Is it possible to force this type when I put the value via the api?  It's my test code:

    var testArray = new Array();
    testArray.push ("string1");
    testArray.push ("string2");
    element.setAttributeWithKey ("TestKey", testArray);
    This translates into an attribute of type table, but I like it to be of type Array/string;

    Paul, as far as I know, you must manually set your attribute types using the vCO client. You cannot specify the types using script.

  • Error: The installer cannot set Windows XP required configuration information during the upgrade to Windows XP Home SP3 of Windows XP Pro.

    Original title: OEM Windows XP Home SP3 update XP Pro

    Here is a compilation of the messages from another forum regarding
    My problem:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    I'm trying to upgrade a Windows XP Home Sp3 OEM system to
    Windows XP Pro. (There are a few Pro features
    that are not available in the House I now need: (1) the files offline and
    (2) an add-on available for free to Onenote 2007, Top2onenote, requires a Pro).
    I don't want a clean install, but an upgrade. I bought a Windows XP Pro
    Upgrade CD on Ebay that was Windows XP Pro
    Gold (v2002). I'm sure that's true for the following reasons:

    It has been listed as an upgrade, but the CD is not labeled "Upgrade".
    It seems very authentic with all Microsoft holography.
    He came in the standard package of Windows XP (without box),
    and it was sealed.
    The name of volume for the CD is WXPFPP_EN. The Internet,.
    It is the retail of Windows XP Pro RTM (gold)!

    Here are things I tried initially.

    (1) I tried to upgrade to Pro from the purchased CD. It is immediately
    has refused to upgrade indicating the upgrade OS (Pro) is older than the
    installed OS (home)...

    (2) I read about "slipstreaming". "Slipstreaming" allows to integrate
    a service pack with an earlier version of the operating system. I created a
    upgrade XP Pro SP3 with Nlite slipstreamed CD image (and
    Autostreamer later, but it made no difference) from the purchased CD
    and a file containing SP3.

    After you burn the CD and start the upgrade
    (Windows installation), the upgrade process
    product through "information collection."
    "Dynamic update" and "Preparation of Installation" with
    no problems. My computer restarted and returned to
    "Installation preparation". A progress bar called 'Progress '.
    quickly filled to about 90% and the hanging system
    at that time there for about 15 minutes.
    Then, I got the following error message:

    Setup cannot set the required Windows XP configuration
    information. This indicates an internal Setup error.

    This is where I am stuck. I had to leave the installation at this point.
    My drive is starts raining and I had to restore a backup.

    (3) just for the heck of it, I formatted my hard drive and
    reinstalled my original OEM XP Home SP3 OS (no clean up, no user file).
    I immediately used my XP CD slipstreamed Pro to try one
    upgrade to XP Pro and IT WORKED! I need to find out why the
    properly clean XP Home OS upgraded to XP Pro but my pre-existing
    (with the files users, drivers, etc..) XP Home OS does not level
    successfully to XP Pro.
    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Another post:

    Yet once, today, I installed a new copy of OEM Windows XP Home Sp3.
    I continue with installation of all the essential and the add-on
    pilots (essentially all my original version). Then, I
    set up a network connection and firewall. With this configuration,.
    I ran the Pro XP slipstreamed SP3 CD. The upgrade to XP Pro
    success (even if the upgrade not configured my graphics
    card properly). I guess my current problem is either the registry,
    the WINDOWS, some user file or parameter file.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Another post:

    I made a file and the backup of the folder C:\Windows folder
    on my system that is pre-existing (OEM XP Home Sp3). I also did a
    separate the backup the State of the 'system' on my pre-existing system.
    These are added my full image backup of her pre-existing
    system a month ago.

    I did a backup image of my system (minimum fees OEM XP Home
    SP3 with all the original installed drivers over a network configured
    connection and a firewall configured). This system will upgrade
    XP Pro with XP Pro SP3 slipstreamed CD successfully.

    Experiment 1:

    I've restored my minimum system. I then restored the C:/Windows folder
    and the State of the pre-existing system backup system. A startup
    has managed (with a minor irritant). I had to activate Windows.
    Then, I tried upgrading the slipstreamed XP Pro processor. He stopped
    at the same place during the upgrade and gave the same error as before:

    Setup cannot set the required configuration information Windows XP.
    This indicates an internal Setup error.

    Experiment 2:

    I've restored my minimum system. I then restored the system state only
    the backup of the pre-existing system. After startup I was asked to
    activate Windows, but answer Yes to the question would be to disconnect me
    the system. I couldn't get connected to try the XP Pro upgrade.

    Experience 3:

    I've restored my minimum system. I then restored only the C:/Windows
    the backup of the pre-existing system folder. Once again, as in experiment 1,
    the upgrade failed at the same place with the same error message.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    Before the experiment 3, I hoped that 3 experience would succeed so I
    could conclude that I had a registry problem. I'm not sure now.
    I don't know what to try next. Take the minimum system and reinstalling
    my files of the user is not an option that my hard drive has over 200 GB of
    programs! If I restore all files and folders of my pre-existing
    I would still have backup to restore a system state the reliable (read the registry).
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Sorry for the length! If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate your responses.

    Thank you

    Hi Alan,

    Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that the computer does not restart even after running Startup Repair and I will be happy to answer your query. I appreciate the efforts made to try to make it work. Let me ask you;

    • How do you run the Startup Repair?
    • Do you have Windows 7 repair disc?
    • Remember to no particular change in the computer before the show?
    • Have you plugged an external equipment, except the keyboard and mouse?
    • You are able to start the computer in safe mode?
    • What is the brand and model of the computer?

    Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    There could be several reasons why he's not leaving including hardware as well. In addition, it could be because the master boot record (MBR) has been damaged. When you try to use the Startup Repair tool to repair the MBR, the Startup Repair tool indicates that no problem was found or it does not work yet.

    If you have any connected USB flash drive or other external devices connected to the computer, if you please, remove them and try to run the Startup Repair tool.

    If you haven't tried using Windows 7 repair disc, you can try the following:

    1. Insert the Windows 7 disc
    2. restart your computer
    3. When asked if you want to boot from your DVD player, do it.
    4. Select your language, click Next.
    5. click on repair your computer
    6. Select the operating system you want to repair.

    You can also perform the system restore by selecting the restore point when you think it worked very well. System Restore, choose advanced options using the disc.

    Important: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed after this date are deleted.

    I also recommend to contact the computer manufacturer to get the done diagnostic equipment.

    Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

    OID contains all users belonging to a group and can be viewed correctly using DOHAD.

    Users cannot connect to the portal WebCenter or any other application of the field gets initialized because JPS store does not.

    However, the JPS store gets initialized for the administration server, users and group membership can be toured from the areas of security-> users and groups to the weblogic console window.

    A few days ago the users connected to the webcenter content was not asigned no role.

    WebCenter star in the field of content very well, Admin Server and store of JPS is initialized correctly, users and members of the group can be seen in areas of security-> users and groups to the weblogic console window.

    WCP-weblogic_usersandgroups.png

    This error started to appear a few days before, before that, everything was normal, and users could connect to the webcenter portal group for membership and get the OID and the privileges of JPS LDAP store.

    Servers werer started first, using Nodemanager script to start the server administration, and after that the administrator of the booted server, console weblogic was used to start managed servers.

    Is there a way to debug the JPS Store initialization?

    Hello Amey

    The indicator for OAM ID Asserter is required for single sign on functionality, whatever it is, the problem, seems to be communication with the DNS server, which makes a delay that could be verified using traceroute and ping commands.

    This delay caused the connection failure to the OID server during initialization of JPS.

    As a solution, thefully qualified hostname to OID server has been configured manually to the file/etc/hosts. After this change, JPS can be initialized correctly.

    Howerver, that the log shows no time-out or any other exception during the initialziation, making diagnosis difficult to obtain.

    Thanks for your help.
