  The second folder would be under the program data-adobe

  I just removed 5 Lightroom and installed Lightroom CC from CC console. Since the re-installation of Lightroom, the splash screen appears and then immediately closes without any error message. 5 Lightroom used to work without any problems.

There are two dialog boxes that appear as it opens, but they are so fast, that I can't read. I tried to restart the computer, do my updates of mac, I reset preferences, and I deleted the lrcat.lock file. Nothing did. There are more than enough disk space, too.
