Project to go to a State planned instead to deploy

We were able to deploy 2 projects earlier. Now when we create a new project or a target, after we approve the deployment in the tab Projects of CA project,

We are not able to deploy the respective project

It shows:

Capture.JPGCapture2.JPG

Once we click on the button to full deployment, we get the following:

Capture3.JPGCapture4.JPG

How do we solve the problem?

Attached screenshot I see accpt deployment set to false.

I think that any previous project is stuck during deployment.

Try

  • Cancel the previous deployment stuck.
  • Even after the cancellation, if the State is not changed, still critical use to reset the State.

Thank you

  • project sporadically opens in a new window, instead of the tab

    Hello

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I was not able to find this on the Internet or on this forum topic. I apologize in advance if it has been resolved.

I have always go and often open my projects in my office.

When I was Captivate 6.0, he would open a window and then, for each project, it would open a tab.

After the update to Captivate 8, everytime I open a project, Captivate is still open in a separate/new window for each project!

Is there a way to tell Captivate to ALWAYS OPEN NEW PROJECT in the current window, but the different tab?

I tried to open a project in the menu bar (file > open > Select project), and still, it opens in a new window.

    Thank you for your time.

    Eric

    Hi Eric

In fact, I'm rather surprised to hear that any version of Captivate would simply open projects recurrence in the same instance, but in different tabs. New windows are what I fully expect if the plans to open by double-clicking them just from the office.

I would never advise people to function in this way. My personal opinion is to open by Captivate to open first, then using the file > open (or Ctrl + O in Lilybiri jobs).

If you feel that it must operate differently, please consider filing a bug report using the link below.

  • VLM - Testers checking debug licenses instead of deployment.

We currently use VLM 3.1 with a limited number of licenses of debugging, and a large number of deployment licenses.  Some of our testers seem to insist on pulling debug licenses, even when running through the interface of the user logged in as operator.  The two switch Executive 3.0 and teststand 3.5 seem to be guilty of this.  VLM is currently the Setup based on computer, not the user.

    Hey Bob73

I did a little more research into what happened with your deployment/debug licenses.  I have come across some good information on why this is happening.  We have an internal document that indicates that it is a known problem in TestStand 3.5.  It has to do with the operator TestStand 3.5 Interface correctly attempts to extract the TestStand_InstEngine in the license of the Package of basic deployment, but incorrectly then try to check a feature available in the TS Debug Deployment license.

This will happen only if one of the following conditions is met:

    • The VLA has unmanaged for debugging concurrent licenses.

    • The computer/user who tries to order the license has permissions for a license with the option to deploy.

To solve this problem you will need to create a service request.

I'm sorry that I didn't connect the dots earlier.

  • Why the continuous measurement and Logging in LabVIEW 2012 Project uses strings instead of Enums and orders from the queue?

    Hello!

I noticed that the continuous measurement and a project in LabVIEW 2012 Logging using chains instead of enums and orders from the queue. I wonder if there is a good reason for it?

    Kind regards

    Anguel

First, string vs enum debate is probably the version of LabVIEW vim vs emacs. There are good arguments on both sides, and I doubt that there is always a "winner".

A brief summary of our reasoning for the current state of the project examples:

    1. We used enums for the state machine because it is self-contained. A state machine will never tell himself to enter a State, he does not know. Knowing (as the programmer) all possible States with the help of an enum allows you to enlist the compiler in order to help us avoid mistakes to change the time (because you can't quite out an enum and LabVIEW can be said if you are not covering all cases to a structure of the case, etc..).

Enums provide greater protection and rigidity by ensuring all withdrew at the time of publishing. This is often the 'default' recommendation that we do.

    2. We used strings for messages in queue manager because the producer of message and the message handler could be independent processes that are reused or traded. Channels avoid the need for the compiler to be able to connect the orders and push this responsibility to the programmer. This allows you to develop some sub-components independently as long as you agree to a series of channel commands that you can manage - you need not to share a file 'messages.ctl' or 'states.ctl '. It is conceivable a loop of message management a message it does not, how you can decide to either silently ignore it or will trigger an error (as we do in the model). The strings make it also easier if you want to swap the queues of LabVIEW outside by a TCP implementation for network vacilitate or intra-Processuse communication where the other end may or may not be written in LabVIEW.

Channels to provide more flexibility (that is, you can add new commands to an existing via plugins system, you can pass parameters as part of the string, etc.) at the expense of pushing her potential errors at run time and to put more responsibility on the programmer.

    3. The actor's gifts frame a 3rd option - using classes such as messages. For me, it combines many of the advantages of these two enumerations (strictly typed, change errors) and strings (flexible and scalable), but with the disadvantage of being somewhat less transparent (you understand OO, be comfortable to navigate through a multitude of screws, legacy of understanding, etc.).

I don't know there are other reasons, others to the breast OR had or seen as we validated models and examples of projects in-house, but here are my reasons. We know that we can not design for each situation there - our goal is to get useful models against new users to make them aware of what well thought LabVIEW programs are similar to experienced users know their applications better and I hope they do not hesitate to change what we provide or create their own designs, when they feel it's necessary. (On a side note, please share what you come up with - a community of experts sharing models would be really useful to us all LabVIEW users).

    Best regards

  • definition of variables in packages and using the same variables in charge Plans as a case statement in Odi

    Hello

I am trying to use a global variable 'Global.test' in my ODI "pkg_test" package and step declaration type as a variable that is defined with the value 1 when my package evaluates the condition successfully run and with 0 if the fails.now condition I will carry out the same "pkg_test" package in my load "LP_TEST" and using the variable 'Global.test' Plan as a case statement in terms of load "LP_TEST".

It's workload Odi is unable to understand the value of the variable 'Global.test', which is defined in my pkg 'pkg_test' and my case statement is put down in my care Plan.

    Thank you

    Hi Santosh Pradhan,

What kind of story do you have in your variable?

If you have not selected any antecedent, the scope of the variable is limited to the session. As the execution of the package is a session in its own (independent of the workload performance), the value of the variable is not accessible after his execution.

You can also try assigning / updating of the value of the variable directly from your plan, instead of in the package:

    It will be useful.

  • CRASH: Replacement of the enumerations in the State diagrams can shoot down LabVIEW 2012

    Environment

    Windows 8 64 - bit, 32-bit LabVIEW 2012

    Steps to reproduce

    1. Open the attached draft
    2. Open Statechart.lsvc/Diagram.vi
    3. Double click on the blue Transition in the Middle, navigate to the guard
    4. Make a right-click on the enum constant-> replace-> select a VI...
    5. Choose 'Enum 2.ctl.
    6. 'Select the VI to open' dialogue box appears again. Reselect "Enum 2.ctl.
    7. Observe the first weird behavior: block diagram of the guard is replaced with the front panel of the enum
    8. Click on "Cancel".
    9. Double-click the blue Transition again. LabVIEW crashes here.

    Error messages

I first encountered this in a large project with a complex of state transitions. This was the message indicated before the death of LabVIEW:

With the small example that I have attached, there was no message at the time of the accident - LabVIEW just abandoned in silence. When I rebooted it showed (tested twice, same message):

    Hi JKSH,

Sorry for the incorrect post, I was talking with one of my colleagues on this issue. I was able to reproduce this problem on Windows 7 32-bit and LabVIEW 2013 (32 bit). I filed a bug report (called the request for Corrective Action or CAR) on the issue. The number of CAR is 421985. You can use this to track when the CAR will be fixed because there will be a list of cars that are resolved in the release notes. I also wanted to put that workaround for this error is just to add the VI manually, then delete the original VI (instead of use the substitute function).

Thank you for helping us find this bug.

    Thank you

  • Hyperion Planning Datetime does not show localtime

    Hi all

I use the version of the application planning 11.1.2.4, my problem is that the console work, or the form date modified hour show instead of GMT + 7 GMT.

    I also check the following:

-Creation of the folder in the workspace

-Check the log of the Essbase

    -Check the Server datetime

All this indicate the correct time, the problem is that in the planning application.

    Someone did this experience too?

    Thank you

You will need a support identifier to be able to access the support documents, if you have a then connect to Oracle support, and then search for the document 1950735.1

If you check the State planning HSP_JOB_STATUS work table does show the timestamp of the correct server for the entries.

@CURRMBR (returns a member name) is not a Boolean function and should not be used in an IF statement. Instead, you must use the Boolean functions such as ISMBR. Try this:

    IF (@ISMBR ("BegBalance"))
    #missing;
    ElseIf (@ISMBR (FY13) and @ISMBR (Act))
    'Unus_items_CY_non_641'-> 'BegBalance' + 'Unusual_PY_Auto'-> 'Begbalance' + 'Unusual_PY_Manual'-> 'Begbalance ';
    ON THE OTHER
    'Unus_items_CY_non_641'-> 'BegBalance ';
    ENDIF;

  • How to clear failed execution Plans?

    Hello world

This should be an easy thing, but I can't seem to find a way to do it.

I created a custom implementation plan and added each financial area in the plan. Then I generated settings, you click on build and then he ran. Failed to run.

I noticed that there is a pre-configured with "R12 Financials_Oracle" execution plan and decided that I wanted to really run was Financials_Oracle R12 and not my personal plan. So I clicked on build for R12 Financials_Oracle plan of execution, and once it is finished, I clicked 'Run Now'. When you click Run now he told me that my custom implementation plan was completed with a failed State and until she is done correctly, no other plan could be run. I really don't want my custom plan completes successfully. I want to run the other plan instead.

How to remove/delete on my failure run data so I can start a new execution plan?

    Thanks for the help!

    -Joe

In DACS under the window RUN, do the following:
-Go to the tab "Run in progress".
-Highlight the execution plan has failed.
-Click right and selected 'Brand.' as completed
-Enter the number/text in the box.

    Then:

-In the toolbar at the top of the page, select--> management ETL tools--> reset Data Sources
-Enter the number/text in the boox.

Now you are ready to start the new execution plan.

    I hope this helps.

  • TestStand / CVI in conflict: the project directory

    Hello

I have TestStand 4.2, LabWindows/CVI 8.5, Windows XP.   I'm testing a DLL created in CVI, which uses the 'GetProjectDir()' to create a basis for work.

When this DLL is exercised by a C program, it detects the directory of the project, C:\sandbox, which the program is run from.

However, when I have exhausted the same project (C:\sandbox) TestStand directory it finds instead the project as directory is C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\TestStand 4.2\Bin\

This is obviously not an acceptable way to build and work with files and temporary directories.

This continues to happen even if I created and launched the file in sequence from the directory "correect" (C:\sandbox)

How can I make testStand join BCI on what is the project directory?

    Thank you

    Hi rjohnson,.

The reason that you are experiencing this issue, is that the GetProjectDir function gets the directory containing the executable file, so when we run the TestStand DLL, it captures where TestStand is performed.  You can use the GetModuleDir function:

    char path [MAX_PATHNAME_LEN];
    GetModuleDir (__CVIUserHInst, path);

Sorry if this question was asked to the answer in the forums.  I did a search and found nothing.

I just bought a LaserJet P1102w and running Mac OS X 10.8.2, but it is not relevant.

This printer (and I guess that most of the other HP printers) goes into idle state after a period of inactivity.

Y at - it hurt to keep the printer in this inactive state indefinitely (instead of hitting the power button and turn the unit off)?  Is there a point where the printer actually shut down after being idle for a certain time?  Apart from flashing LED lights, is all power consumed as a result in the maintenance of this printer in idle state?

Thank you very much in advance for any information or advice.

By default, the printer is set to mode standby after 5 minutes.  After that the printer is idle for a few minutes, then the device goes into automatic.

It is not a problem to allow the printer to stay in long periods of inactivity.  The unit will maintain only enough power in the circuit to power the LEDs bit and maintain communication with the router if wireless package.

If you want to change the time or to disable this feature, check the document located here.  I hope this helps.

  • ASO Plan type of problem of security filters planning application

    Hello

We have a planning application that has 3 plantypes BSO and a kind of ASO. Security for the OSB is made by the secFile.txt and works perfectly. For the ASO cube, we tried to create filters and their allocation to the groups, but we receive the below error

"Cannot change the access authorization on the application of planning in shared services mode.

The groups are provisioned with Planner for the planning application and the access under the Cluster Essbase server.

Groups or user tables are displayed as planning instead of planning and Essbase.

Please let us know how to create filters and their assignment to the plantype of ASO by EAS/Maxl planning without errors (syntax is known)

    version 11.1.2.4

    Public sector, planning an application

    Cube DP_ASO

    Thank you
    Sravan

It is designed to be used via the planning layer and not directly to Essbase, you can access the layer of planning using Smart View and reports
