  I have 3 dashboard invites you: exercise, Qtr, and month and here is my requirement...
  
  -All 3 dashboard guests must display only values for the past 5 years, including the current year
  -Quarter and months guests should be limited
  
  Now the problem is, I could achieve the requirement of the 1st or the 2nd but I am unable to make the two together since OBIEE does not show the box 'Force' if we select 'Results' rather than 'all values '. Is there a way to achieve both requirements together?
  
  I did a lot of searching on Google, but that did not help. So thought I'd check with the experts in this forum.

  You have three columns to the prompt year, quarter, and month, no need sql result...

  In the special effects of the year column write this
  Case when TableA.Year enters the year (current_date)-5 and year (current_date) then TableA.Year end

  Column quarter FX
  When end of TableA.Year between the year (current_date) - 5 and year (current_date) then TableA.Quarter

  When to use a hierarchy as a guest you don't filter the analysis by setting "is invited" at all levels but you add the hierarchy in the analysis and using the stages of selection, you set it can be replace by the guest. "

  Month
  
  Who use the value limit (quarter depends on the year, month depend on quarter), but I have question because null also appear in these guest
  I checked my database, display repository are not null.
  
  
  My question is, how to remove null in prompt when sql result cannot be used as well as the value limit, I don't know how to remove it by using the filter columns.
  NB: I already using presentation result variable sql in order to remove the null value and using the constraint, but it show nothing in fast mode unless press us the button apply.
  So I don't use this

  Hello

  You can change your guest here you can find the show option, and then choose SQL result please change statement as below.

  SELECT the name of your column OF field where your name of the column is not null

  Go--> change your prompt--> Show--> Sql select result---> statement change as above.

  Second way.

  Go to the layer, and then double click on your column name here you can find * 'Nullable' * option please check.

  Go--> physical layer--> extract table--> select your name in the column--> double click on your name in the column--> here you can find option as Nullable, please check.

  I need to access the hierarchy command prompt to join the account sys Im planing to make a few tweaks to my taskbar, implement a rotation to display the desktop and adding some defensive work to my firewall.

  I know that its possible Ive been reading about all day, but there is a security file blocking the best way to access the account.

  time / interactive "cmd.exe" did not work I got the following error

  "WARNING: due to security enhancements, this task will run at the scheduled time, but not interactively.

  "Use the schtasks.exe in interactive task utility is needed.

  Schtask.exe is interesting because none of the switches back work. even in SafeMode invites

  I tried to use psexec.exe to bypass around your security file of coarse it was also a bust.

  tried to use the Task Scheduler to activate a system level command prompt, it worked but its ruin in the background. lol system d$ * #.

  I then tried to get the interactive prompt by running to time / interactive "cmd.exe" in a batch file, calling it a scheduler of tasks that the system,

  I should have seen it coming, he just ran in the background.

  I have a prompt that displays the quarter of the year. I want to put the default value of this prompt dynamically. So, if sysdate is between January and March, then fast should say 'Q1 '. If the month of sysdate is between April and June, then fast should say 'Q2'... etc.

  I set the default selection of the prompt SQL suite and put in the following code:

  SELECT BOX WHEN EXTRACT (MONTH FROM sysdate) IN (1,2,3) and THEN "Q1" double WHEN RETRIEVED (MONTH OF sysdate) (4,5,6) and THEN "Q2" double WHEN RETRIEVED (MONTH OF sysdate) (7,8,9) THEN "Q3" double ELSE 'T4' LATE double

  Hi Kevin (you can try perhaps to set a nickname instead of 2990287).

  The problem is that "Result SQL" SQL logical result.

  OBIEE is the build engine SQL, so you never get real physics SQL directly (with the exception of DDR) it will just make all the RPD and useless modeling.

  If in this field, you must enter a query LSQL.

  If your values are Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4, it is actually very simple:

  I have a business requirement for a dashboard that we built location to get the users that belong to a certain geographic location to the default view of the dashboard with guests together in their geographic area.  He is just giving them a default view to enhance their experience when they connect each day.   Because of the way that we put the default value for the period of time they watch, with the HELP of SAUVÉ the CUSTOMIZATIONS IS NOT AN OPTION.

  I created the default values for the prompt called "area" in a block of initialization. This variable is called V_USER.

  My problem is that only about 80% of users have a value of 'Area' in the hierarchy of our employees.   I would like to someone else by default "(toutes les valeurs de colonne)". "  I was unable to understand how and where do.

  Some of the things I've tried:

  (1)	Setting the default value in the initialization of an empty space block ("in SQL)
  (2)	Setting the default value in the initialization "(toutes les valeurs de colonne) block '"
  (3)	Setting the default value in the initialization block 'null '.

  None of them have worked and the result is that the user who does not have an area ends with a load of zombie dashboard, and while the guest gave rise to fashion "- select value -", the user must press "Apply" again to get the dashboard to display the data.

  The text which lies behind the encircled area in green below correctly becomes the value of the variable to V_USER (it is empty as default and I don't have a box).

  For @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[USERS ']} the default zone must be @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[V_USER']} {}

  In the red circles below you can see that the guest actually becomes a value: *) nqgtu(* )

  Thanks for your comments.  I was not able to make this work for my needs.  I have however to solve the problem by changing using a 'SQL result' for my default selection.  Then I created a query that returns rows NULL unless there is a correct answer:

  "MOS DELIVERY."

  WHERE ("organisational hierarchy". ("" Area number "> 0) AND ("Service Delivery MOS". "Organizational hierarchy" "." " Zone' = ' @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[V_USER']} {} ")"

  The "returns no line' I mentioned above resulted in all values being selected.

  In OBIEE 11 g Dashboard guest all prompts limit values does not.

  We have below 4 guests in my dashboard.

  1. market Department

  2. Ministry of health

  3 Plastica

  4.Department.

  When limit values by the Department of health and the results are coming.

  To limit the values all the guests then the resultant taking too long finally nothing happens.

  Can someone help me on this issue.

  Note: we have only 3 runners for all the prompts.if we have several documents it might be the prformance problem.

  6 months

  1 to 4 are in a hierarchy and year/month in a hierarchy.when, we use all prompts limit values does not.

  Finally, we came to know that when we use the values limits of all prompts will work for a single hierarchy. So, we created 2 dashbord guest for this scenario.

  All are workinig fine, but when break through us year quarter, it will take at the level of the child. Yet once the level of the year presents hyperlink in the cumulative process.

  Assuming you have quarter and year invites.
  1. in the first prompt, create a presentation at the quarter prompt variable.
  2. in the second guest in the sql logic, write a similar query
  {Select the year of subject_area where quarter=@{pres_var}

  GoTo tab on your report criteria.

  Select the step of selection icon (down arrow left green color).

  And then under selection steps, change your hierarchy column (start with column name).

  In the new window select the level higher in the hierarchy and check in the editable with the command prompt box.

  The user selects the name of month in prompt report, the report should show the information of quarter data falling from the chosen month. I used the subreport that provide a quarter of the month. This degrades performance report, so I need a solution to find a quarter of the month in the filter of the report itself. Can anyone provide an idea on that?

  Well, now that I know the syntax, it should work for you:

  Assumptions: "month" is in the format "LUN - AA' (DEC-11); quarter is in the format "YYYY Q M" (2012 Q 2);

  Here are the pieces of the CASE statement...

  LEFT (' @{pv_month}', 3)... allows at least 3 letters ("Jan", "Feb", etc.) of the selected month...

  .. Right('@{pv_month}',2) .save the month selected two-digit year...

  Cast (Right('@{pv_month}',2) AS INTEGER)... .converts as a whole two-digit year. It is how we use the year in a calculation to determine the correct exercise when the month is September, October, November or December. In this case, (11) two-digit year is less than the tax (2012) year.

  Here are the facts:

  Q-11 MAY 2011 3 MAR-11
  JUN-11 AUGUST - 11 2011 Q 4
  SEVEN.-11 TO 11 - NOV 2012 Q 1
  DEC-11 TO 12 FEBRUARY 2012 Q 2
  etc...

  The above represents an exercise. As you can see, for the months from March to August, the exercise is the same as the selected year (all that is needed is to convert the year to two digits of a four-digit year).
  When the month is seven, Oct or Nov, the year must be incremented by 1. Month Jan and Feb, exercise is identical to the year chosen, but Dec must be dealt with separately, because even if exercise is the same as Jan and Feb (2) year should be incremented.

  Gather all this logic, you get the following:
