  I just upgraded to Snow Leopard. My Master Collection CS5 is updated. But I I have a serious problem I've ever had: when you draw something in Illustrator or Photoshop, it's as if I had the SHIFT key. Rectangles can only be squares, ellypses are circles. With one of the handles to resize them proportionally resizes.

  In addition, in Illustrator I can't click on the pasteboard to deselect everything, because the last things I've selected remain selected. I have to shift-click all to turn it off.

  I don't have this problem in other Adobe applications, such as InDesign or in the Apple Preview. So, what's not?

  Please don't suggest me to reinstall the suite, because the original disks are at home, thousands of kilometres away where I am now.

  This behavior is probably caused by Illy get disturbed by other applications; When disturbed, it confused. You can find a list of the usual Suspects in point 7 in the other options.

  Solved. I do not delete it, because it might be helpful to others with the same symptoms. I restarted the Mac and averything returned fine.  I'd be happy to understand what was wrong at first.

  1. I have already installed windows 7 32 bit and then upgraded to 10 32 bit windows all drivers and all were working great.

  2. After installing windows 7 64-bit and upgrade to windows 10 Pro. before you install the driver of quicklaunch 64bits, function keys did not work. but after installing the driver of quicklaunch, only the sensor ambient keys work but not working not properly.

  3. as I have activate the ambient sensor. the light become very low and don't resolve with regard to lighting and after you turn off the room sensor the brightness of the screen become maximum. And when I press the funtion key low/high brightness. only appears this brightness bar is lowering down or up.

  4. power supply do not work. Eve/battery power Saver/High Performance on the selection.

  Please suggest a solution for this.

  I just bought a g6 Pavilion and it's all good, except a big problem. For function keys, I have to press on the key fn first! It's horrible! Please fix. It should be easy to fix. This should be configurable. Come on, please don't play with the function keys. We need for programming and many other productivity software where these function keys used regularly. I hope that there could be some obscure settings I can you to reverse this relationship, I want to say I press the fn key only if I need to access the features of HP spare put on the function keys, not the other way around.

  My older Toshiba has a power switch WiFi.

  My new Toshiba has a WiFi switch above the F keys, although I do not know which varies

  My laptop is a very good laptop, with a good graphics card nvidia an i7 cpu and even 16 GB of ram. Even with a 17 inch screen full HD 1920 * 1080, making incredible games! Even GTA V for Pc works quite well on this laptop powerful.
  
  All of these things are an amazing gaming PC, however, it has a match no one back which makes it almost impossible to play a game with good fluidity.
  
  Present a defect of fatal game is actually the keyboard, but to be more precise, it is the function keys. The HP Envy 17 has two F1 - F12 and INSERT key. However, these are the secondary keys. Primary keys are keys system that changes the brightness or volume. That means if I want to use F2 in a game, I have to hold the function key, and then press F2.
  
  This seems minor, but when you play, it can be annoying to have to hold down a function key just to use one of the F keys.
  
  Dies, does anyone know how to get this fixed and reverse the trend, in this way if I want to cut my cell phone that I have to press the function, then the F6 key. I hope that people know what I mean and please if you know of a fix would be great if you could post it below.

  First of all, you can change between the special function key mode (without pressing the FN key) or normal (standard) mode (Fn hold first of all use the standard functions of F1 - F12).

  This function can be changed in the BIOS.
  In BIOS go to Advanced-> system configuration

  Check this option.

  I just received a P50 A 144 Satellite with Windows 8.1.

  The keypad has typical F keys with Specialfunctions (mute, Volume, WiFi,...). After unpacking and booting the laptop all the function keys (F1 to F12) worked. After you have installed last as drivers Hard - and Software on the Toshiba Site the function keys no longer work. Only the Volume up and down function still works, while pressing the FN key (normally, this works without pressing the FN key).

  I checked Toshiba's system settings and the keyboard settings haven't changed. They are always on 'Specialfunctions' (so I don't normally have to press the FN key). Relocation of several drivers and the installation of the 'Value added package' (Windows 7) has not helped. I don't know what to do and hope you can help me. The functions are practical and it would be boring, if they no longer work.

  For stone, that I do not understand why you installed anything, if your laptop comes with preinstalled OS 8.1 version and everything worked properly. Don't change anything if there is no reason for this.

  My advice to you is: create a media recovery and after having made this original version of the OS install again. You can do this by using the created disc or HARD drive recovery option.

  beginning of > applications > TOSHIBA > system settings.
  Select [function keys], here you will find the options [SPECIAL KEY MODE] and [KEY NORMAL MODE].
  With NORMAL MODE KEY (F1 - F12), normal F1... F12 features are turned on without pressing the [FN] key first.

  I bought a HP 2000-2116TU laptop. Everything seems to be fine with the machine, except a little problem that I am facing.

  The function keys on the top does not (1st row) until and unless I press the key 'Fn' down.

  These keys are enabled only after pressing the "fn". It acts as a switch for the function keys on or off.

  Since the function keys are also have a few alternative options as the backlight, volume, etc. without wire, these operations are always in mode active istead of the normal function keys.

  In fact, the main problem is while working in Autocad, because I often need to use function like autocad shortcuts keys. But whenever I have to press the "Fn" key press any function key to work.

  May be it is a software problem, as the provided operating system was back.

  Please go into the BIOS and enable/disable the mode of Action key setting. This will solve the problem of using the Fn key combination.
