Properly installed service pack 1 status has not updated the Windows edition information.

Original title: windows vista 32-bit sp1

just installed the new hard drive on laptop. re-installed windows vista Home premium 32-bit. Traverse and filling all windows updates. service pack 1 is now next in line. 1.9 MB file downloads and "installed". do not reboot several times or take an hour or longer. complete in a few minutes. Windows update said installation was successful, but when I go into the system settings to make sure that the windows edition has changed, it is not sp1 as it should. I just have to wait a little while and try again, or is there some other im in question has not detected? something would be useful. system works great otherwise :-) Thank you.

Hello

Using Windows Vista 32 or 64-bit?

How to determine whether a computer is running a 32-bit version or the 64 bit version of the Windows operating system.

I would say you can download service pack 1 manually, install on your computer and check the status of the issue.

If you are using Windows Vista 32-bit, you can download service pack 1 from the following link.
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 five language standalone (KB936330).

If you are using Windows Vista 64-bit, you can download service pack 1 from the following link.
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 five language standalone for x 64 (Kb936330).

I bought Rocketfish to a sound and turns off sound internal on the bios and still get the same error and the show. Help, please...

    1. What is the exact error message you get?
    2. Are you not sound on the computer or Rocketfish?

If you do not get the sound on the computer, then all first activate the sound Board in the BIOS and check. Also, follow the steps in this link and check if that helps:

  • Error installing Service Pack 3 on XP because of the "disk space" despite 40 GB free

Well, I was working on the installation of some programs for my school (ProE Wildfire 4.0) and to run it, we required some software VSP. When you try to run the software, it gave me errors on missing components and when he tried to download, it gave an error. So I decided to do a Windows Update for I hope to solve this problem and tried to install Service Pack 3 (this a bootcamp partition on a Mac, unfortunately, everything works great on my desk), who was absent, probably because I installed XP only a few months ago. However, whenever I tried to install the service pack, it gives me an error, saying: it took 4 MB more disk and cancel the installation. I got 40 GB free, so I just did a virus scan of the entire system with Symantec and Spybot S & D. Then I made the error of disk checking, defragmentation, disk cleanup, cleanup with CCleaner and cleanup with CleanUp!. And he always gave me the same error. During this time, I realized that Microsoft Security Center was not picking up on my Symantec Antivirus. I had a virus earlier and thought that Spyware S & D and Symantec may have missed something, so I did some research and took measures to protect themselves against a little guy called backdoor.haxdoor.cn. Apparently, I was not according to HSfix and HijackThis. So I thought that Service Pack 2 might have poorly installed and messed up the Security Center and my chances of installation of Service Pack 3. But when I went into Add/Remove Programs (w / visible updates), I couldn't find the upgrade to Service Pack 2 anywhere, that brought me to believe he was present on the XP cd, I have installed since. So I tried to take a break for Service, removing the repository, and then by him restarting. That no longer works. So I gave up on the antivirus error causing the service pack 3 error idea and tried to do some research on service pack 3 generally, but I couldn't find anything really relevant. And now I don't know what to do anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

    silentearth3,
Well, it sounds as if there are a lot of things with your computer.  The first thing I would say is to clean your system startup and then try runnings Windows updates.  Make sure you have any antivirus or firewall programs that may interfere with Windows Update.
Here are the instructions for the clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/310353

If you still have a question I would then download SP3 to your desktop and try to install from there.  Here are the instructions on how to manually install SP3: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389/

  • Inflation does not update the user interface information; always playing 'thin '.

Don't know what else to do. Here you can see a thin provisioned disk:

    ScreenHunter_25 Jun. 10 13.49.jpg

Which is confirmed by the client as well

    ScreenHunter_25 Jun. 10 13.50.jpg

Now I inflate the vmdk (makes no difference, PowerCLI or browser data store)

    ScreenHunter_25 Jun. 10 13.51.jpg

Once completed, the disc should show 'Thick' - or "Willing to scratch thick" when you use the client.

    ScreenHunter_26 Jun. 10 13.51.jpg

However, it still shows thin, PowerCLI and vSphere Client. When you try to inflate again, he confirmed that the disc is not thinner

    ScreenHunter_27 Jun. 10 13.51.jpg

The only solution seems to be to unregister the virtual machine or at least just the VMDK and re - register. This will update the information.

Only reference I've found so far is 1037619 KB, but it simply indicates that this error means that the disc is not thin-provisioned.

Another reference, I found online is:

    http://virtual-stones.stonemountains.nl/2013/04/sphere-client-shows-wrong-disk.html

However, this indicates that the information changes once the virtual machine is running. What I can not confirm, it always shows 'End' until I have de-register / register VM or disc.

Is there information somewhere on how to update the information of the UI once the disc is being inflated?

The same effect that restore a virtual machine can be achieved with a reloading-VM as this operation:

On the shell via SSH or DCUI ESXi:

Get the id of the virtual computer with:

    # vim - cmd vmsvc/getallvms | grep-i [VM - name]

    Perform a reload:

    # vim - cmd vmsvc/reload [VM - ID]

    Through the PowerCLI:

(Get - VM [VM name] |) Get - View). Reload()

Check if this updates information properly.

So again, it does not check if a restart of the host management agents work.

Any version of Windows already came with MS Office or one of the individual Office programs. Many computer manufacturers will understand (install) a trial version of MS Office or one of the Office of different versions. To continue using trial beyond the trial period, you must purchase a product key and activate the program.

    Hi relik_66,

I suggest that you check your system for corrupted files.  You use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files.  To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, clickStart, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    2. type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
