• Mykuler themes in fireworks CS4

  I composed a few themes in Mykuler and the private sector. Now I want to use them in Fireworks CS4 but I can't add a file "ase" and in the extension of Kuler, I can't seem to find a way to access my private themes.

  However, I can import my "ase" themes in photoshop CS4.

• Fireworks CS4 crashes

  I just installed Fireworks CS4 and when I try to click on a layer of an image, this error message appears twice:

  It says the same thing twice, it continues in a loop when I keep on clicking the ok button, and I must go to the Task Manager to stop the program. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program nothing works, so I am at a loss. Anyone had this happen? Why this might be happening?

  You also mention "Task Manager", so I can assume that you are using Windows. Make sure you use Fw with full administrator account privileges.

  If you are not connected with administrator privileges, log on to an account that is and see if Fw runs.

  Then right-click on your Fireworks application icon (start quick desktop menu, launch, etc.), select "Properties", select "Compatibility" and then under "Privilege level" section, put a check mark in the box "run this program as an administrator".

• Strange behavior on Fireworks CS4 preview hotspots

  Hi all

  My students have created prototypes of 10 web pages in Fireworks CS4. Even if they are careful affect the hotspot links that fall below the line of division in the list of links, they see a very erratic behavior when previewing pages in a browser. All links worked views of students before sending me the files. When I consult their files, some work and some do not. I had the students create interactive links on the master page and then create additional pages by copying this master page.

  After that I gave comments to students, they returned to check their links in the Master Page. The links were all assigned to page names above the line of division in the list of links, even if they had initially attributed pages below this line of division. Interestingly, some of the links did not work even after doing this correction on th students files.

  I had the students export these files to PDF, and it worked very well. Can someone tell me why, when I open a file that my students sent me, the hotspots fail? I did the right thing by telling them to build their hotspots in the Master Page, then copy this page? What other variables could affect this result?

  Yes, it was an issue in CS4. It's been fixed in CS5 (I know because I checked). The only solution is to place the layer of hot spots on one of the actual pages. Create a sublayer in the web layer, place the hot spots in this sup layer and share this sublayer to pages. Navigation graphics can stay on the master page.

  I would like to print the logo that I use on my site. How can I - or rather, can I - use Fireworks CS4 to replace pixels/inch dpi image? When I go to modify-> canvas-> Image size, I don't see an option of DPI.

  For printing? Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign.

  You should be able to export your FW design in Illustrator by choosing File > export > FXG and Images. If it's all vectors, he should come over quite well.

  If there is no bitmap if, you won't have to pull in the original works of art again to work at a higher resolution.

• Fireworks CS4 maintain make appearance does not

  Hello

  I have already created a Fireworks MX button with the police 'Monotype without WT' for an IBM computer.

  Then I changed to another computer that does not have the police.  Fireworks MX has been able to properly manage the appearance of fonts when I want to create a new button.

  However, as I have upgraded to the new version of Fireworks CS4, I wasn't able to recreate the same look of fonts.  The feature to "maintain the appearance of the police" no longer works.

  What is someone having the same problem?

  Is this a bug introduced in the new version?

  Is there anyway that I can solve the problem?  (I don't have the old computer more).

  If I remember correctly, you lose the 'apparition' as soon as you try to change it. I don't know the mechanics of how it maintains.

  If you want to continue and use the font just re-install again :-)

  Open the frames Panel, first. (menu window > States) Yes, in Fireworks CS4, executives have been renamed to the States, but they work the same way!

  See the attached file, then, where is the icon 'Add a new framework' in the control panel.

• Why my text air serrated in Fireworks CS4?

  I got this far with fireworks CS4. I can't understand why my text looks like my dog chewed on the subject. If Fireworks CS4 has the same text in Illustrator engine why my text in Illustrator look crisp but my text in fireworks seems to be shredded. I tried to use the anti-Leila, but which did not help. I know there was a lot of text with Fireworks CS4 problems but I thought that all the bugs have been fixed now. Check out the attatchments to see what I mean.

  When you right-click on a file in the library offers you an option to edit or edit with. Choose Edit with you will help choose Fireworks. This seems to be by file type. So you might see MSPAINT open BMP images, Fireworks open PhotoChop open for PNG and GIF.

• bug in fireworks CS4 at 24/32-bit with alpha transparent png export?

  I recently upgraded to CS4 from CS3 and am very disappointed that the ease of export png to 24 or 32 bit png is then useless on my installation of fireworks (Vista). I have a colleague who reported the same behanviour on his mac.

  Please see this file png native fireworks CS4 and the attempt to export it as 24 or 34 bit png, ensuring the canvas is transparent (it shuold be already)...

  The visualization mode in CS3 would show the png with its alpha channel, indicated by the transparency checkerboard. Exporting as well would produce the desired result > a PNG with an alpha nice mix channel.

  Viewing in preview in CS4 mode displays an horrible rendering of the image on a white background. Export the image gives the same result. Please see this link for confirmation:

  Please also see this simple image, this time using a simple ellipse shape:

  You will notice that it is not transparent, and the ellipse has not been smoothed.

  Anyone can shed light on this behavior?

  Export of png as such is something I do every day at work, and is a fundamental requirement of an image editting application targeted to web site design.

  I'm doing something wrong? I been using Fireworks since 2003 so I'm inclined to think that I'm not.

  Transparency is only available when the file is exported as a PNG 8 or

  PNG 32. The sample you have to downloaded has been optimized for the PNG-24 format. When

  I changed optimization PNG 32, the file exported as planned.

  The shape simple PNG file seems to be a solid image, not a vector

  ellipse. In this case, the layout optimization of PNG 8

  with index transparency has solved the problem.
