Proportional calculation formula

Hello

I need to apply a concept of proration for basic treatment... It works very well for newly hired employees... But when I attach my element on Middle month say to, for example: 10 sep 2013 this base should be calculated only until 30 September 10 Ms. How can I do this... ?

Kind regards

Archana

    I have a block based on a view. In this block, I have a question: calc_amt based on a calculation, the calculation mode = formula, it has non-base of data element value.

    I write in the formula of the-> next: calc_amt: = sum(:line_total) where: charge_type = 3 because this is obviously not a SQL statement.

    I tried this on a post, once again request that did not ' work... any ideas?

    Hello:

    There are two steps bneeded for your scenario:

    To calculate the sum of the values of an item on the entire block, use an element of calculation with calculation-mode = 'summary '.
    Because you do not want to sum up all the values, but only the values with a certain condition, you must use an additional formula that sets the value to sum up either to 0 (if your condition is not met), or to the appropriate value (if your condition is met).

    In detail:
    Create a non-base of additional data in your block, value calculation formula, as formula enter

    CASE WHEN :BLOCK.CHARGE_TYPE=3 THEN :BLOCK.line_total ELSE 0 END

    Then, set the calculation method for your item in calc_amt to 'Summary', set summary-function 'Sum', summary-block to your block, summary_item to the newly created formula article.

    In addition, you must set the value "Query all records" on your true block (or 'Summaries of prior calculation' to 'true').

    I hope this helps.

  • Not calculation formula

    Hi all

    1. I am facing a problem. I'm figuring a member (BC54500.100) dimension in two different ways, one way, then the SCENARIO dimension member selected in the screen is "TRAFFIC" and a different way for each other Member of the SCENARIO dimension.

    BC54500.100 has two children, a BT54500.100 who has the percentage of data type and BT54500.110 which is used to store the actual for this calculated, real Member coming from the EBS.

    For this I need an IF clause, so I did:

    If (@CURRMBR ("Scenariu") is "TRAFFIC")

    BC54500.100 = 5 * BT54500.100 / 100;

    ON THE OTHER

    BC54500.100 = (BC54110.100 + BC54110.200 + BC54420.100 + BC54420.200 + BC54410.100 + BC54410.200 + BC54110.300 + BC55300.700 + BC54210.600 + BC55300.900) * BT54500.110;

    ENDIF;

    The Colombia-British... and BT. are all members of the dimension account.

    The problem is that it never calculates the ELSE condition. I tried to move the formulas in order to have an answer, I also tried:

    If (@CURRMBR ("Scenario") <>'TRAFFIC')

    BC54500.100 = (BC54110.100+BC54110.200+BC54420.100+BC54420.200+BC54410.100+BC54410.200+BC54110.300+BC55300.700+BC54210.600+BC55300.900)*BT54500.110/100;

    ELSEIF (@CURRMBR ("Scenariu") == "TRAFFIC")

    BC54500.100 = 100 * BT54500.100 / 100;

    ELSEIF (@CURRMBR ("Scenariu") == "Revizie1")

    BC54500.100 = (BC54110.100+BC54110.200+BC54420.100+BC54420.200+BC54410.100+BC54410.200+BC54110.300+BC55300.700+BC54210.600+BC55300.900)*BT54500.110/100;

    ON THE OTHER

    BC54500.100 = (BC54110.100+BC54110.200+BC54420.100+BC54420.200+BC54410.100+BC54410.200+BC54110.300+BC55300.700+BC54210.600+BC55300.900)*BT54500.110/100;

    ENDIF;

    Each time, the last condition is not respected in the calculations. I moved the formulas between them over and over again, whenever that is the last is not calculated... Any ideas?

    2. another another minor issue, is that as I have said before that I have some members as BT54500.110, who have the percentage data type. And I have 10 entities, with a parent entity. When I view the data in the form that sums the values which lie on all BT54500.110 members for all entities, even if at the level of plan type, I selected medium. I do not have the sum, ideas?

  • Form of complex pricing - auto calculation formula

    Hello

    I have a form of pricing that offers tickets at $350 for the first ticket and $270 for each subsequent ticket. I created the formula to calculate the number of tickets x first prize, but I don't know how to change the formula to calculate the additional tickets. Anyone know who I go about it?

    Sorry if this is not clear.

    Thank you
    Kate

    Let's say that the number of tickets is located in an area called "NumberTickets". You can use this script to custom for the total price field calculation

    var numTix = Number(this.getField("NumberTickets").value);
    if (numTix==0) event.value = 0;
    else if (numTix==1) event.value=350;
    else event.value = 350+((numTix-1)*270);

    Point formula should not be issue of database. And insert the value in the result column in the database is not good idea.
    Then, if you want to save it. create the database result item and write trigger (When-validate-point) on amount and filed rates and the trigger code, write

    :result:=:amount*:rate;

    To display the result on the form, create the database no item and change the formula property and write the formula.

  • Backtracing formula calculator

    Hello

    Is it possible to see how a channel has been calculated (formula values when used)? For example, when you use the calculator to create a new channel in a group by multiplying the 2 channels of the same group:

    ("Power") Ch = Ch ("[1] / Revs") * Ch ("[1] / Torque") * 2 * Pi

    Can I "save track" channel newly created in this formula?

    Thank you!

    Hello ZerMahlMeer,

    The only thing I can think is the field 'Description' is stored with the DataPortal channel. It will look like this:

    The 'Description' field will contain the formula used to calculate the channel, and if you save the file on TDM/PDM field will be persistent.

    I hope this helps,

  • With the help of the previous line in a formula calculator

    Hello.  I use the calculator to create a new string that is a custom filtered version of an existing channel.  Unfortunately, I was not able to identify the entrance of previous line in the channel.  To make things easier, let's say my filter is a simple averager.  This is simple pseudocode for what I want to do:

    New_Channel = (Existing_Channel [n] + Existing_Channel [n-1]) / 2

    where n is the current line.

    It's the calculator formula, with I came:

    ch("[1]/New_Channel") = (CHD (' chnRow - 1 ' [1] / Existing_Channel "") + ch("[1]/Existing_Channel")) / 2 + CTNV (chnRow > 1)

    Unfortunately, I think that chnRow returns 0.

    Of course, I'm a beginner.  I'm open to other approaches to the creation of a new channel with a custom filter.

    Thank you!

    Hi jbuttron,

    What you need to do is to copy the channel and remove the first value of the copied channel then the nth line of the original channel is aligned on the e line (N-1) of the copied string.  You must also add the last value of the string copied at the end of this channel as a new value that both channels end up with the same channel width.  Now you can reference the channels with Ch("[1]/old") and Ch("[1]/new") in the expression of canal's calculator, assuming that the channel names are 'old' and 'new' respectively and both are in the first group.  You need not row variable in the expression now, which is good because there is no way to iterate through a variable row in an expression of canal's calculator.  The iteration of the row is implicit in the reference channel Ch("[1]/new").

    An item in a data block doesn't have to be displayed/visible in your form to stored / maintain a value of the formula. Create a test form that displays the field calculation initially so that you know that it's working properly. Set the property of the "Web" with a NULL value for the element, and then add a button that displays the value of the calculated item not shown in a Message(). When you click the button, you will see the displayed value! ;-)

  • Text element with the formula no recording is not in Table

    Dear all,

    I have a text element with 'Formula calculation' in the property Palette > > calculation > > formula, when I record using validation form to trigger validation key full transaction message but does not backup on the data column occupying a formula.

    What is the reason behind this? Can you get it everything one please let me know how to solve this problem.

    Kind regards

    Atif Zafar

    Dear Atif,

    Oracle will not save the value of formula to database column. If you want to save the calculated value, and then create another element of text as part of database and remove the column of formulas and forward INSERT or UPDATE before, assign the value in the formula column to the item database.

    I hope this helps.

  • Dynamic calculations

    Hello

    I'm quite confused, can someone help me with a parliamentary question of 'dynamic Calc? A few months ago I was modifying one of our scripts of calc which used a dynamic member calc of the dimension parent account.  When I was post results, I received incorrect values.  However when I stopped making reference to the Member parent in the calc calc rather called and dynamic script and summarized the individual children, I had the expected results. Today, I'm looking for and test an other scipt calc, which also uses a dynamic member calc with a formula member and I get the correct answers. Why the inconsistency, I thought dynamic calc only "calculates the value of data during playback. But then go on the Essbase Administrator's Guide I also see "When you reference a member calculated dynamically in a formula in the database schema or a calculation script, Essbase interrupts the regular calculation of the dynamic calculation.» This interruption can significantly reduce the performance of calculation. »

    So the question is: dynamic Calc members can be used in a Calc Script? If Yes, under what conditions?

    Thank you

    Extract from the Essbase Administrator's Guide...

    Understand the dynamic Calc members

    For a member marked as dynamic Calc, Essbase does not calculate its data value in a calculation of batch database (for example, a CALC ALL). Instead, Essbase calculates the value of data during playback (for example, when you retrieve the data in addition to spreadsheet or Smart View.)

    Specifically, Essbase calculates a value for data dynamically when you request the value of data in one of two ways:

    • By retrieving the value of data in the spreadsheet Add-in or Smart View
    • By running a script that displays the value of report data

    Essbase does not store the value calculated; It recalculates the value of each subsequent recovery.

    Formulas and calculated dynamically members

    You can include a dynamically calculated member in a formula when you apply the formula to the outline of the database. For example, if Tri1 is a dynamic member Calc, you can place the following formula on Qtr1 in database schema:

    T1 = Jan + Feb;

    You can't be the target of a calculation formula dynamically calculated a member in a calculation script. Essbase does reserve memory for a computed value dynamically and, therefore, impossible to assign a value to it. For example, if Qtr1 is a dynamic Calc or one dynamic Calc and store, Essbase displays an error of syntax, if you include the following formula in a calculation script:

    T1 = Jan + Feb;

    If Qtr1 is a dynamic Calc or a member dynamic Calc and store and year is neither dynamic Calc or dynamic Calc and Store, you can use the following formula in a calculation script:

    Year = T1 + Qtr2;

    This formula is valid for Essbase does not assign a value to the dynamically calculated member.

    Note:

    When you reference a member calculated dynamically in a formula in the database schema or a calculation script, Essbase interrupts the regular calculation for the dynamic calculation. This interruption can drastically reduce the performance of calculation.

    You can certainly use dynamically calculated members in a calc script/trade rule.

    What you can't do (but), is write to this dynamically calculated member.  What I mean by that is if MbrABC is a calculated dynamically, member you can not send (via Smart View, loads of data or a calc script assignment) data to that Member.  Which is weird, it's allowing of Essbase, at least from the user interface of the client, allow you to send, but then not tell you that the data sent to the MbrABC do not stick.  <--This isn't="" totally="" true="" in="" the="" case="" of="" a="" data="" load="" as="" you="" will="" get="" a="" warning="" message="" that="" not="" all="" of="" the="" data="" got="" loaded. ="" but="" eas/maxl="" will="" not="" tell="" you=""> What members are dynamic and so not a loading managed.

    Finally, the dynamic commentary on Calc being slower in calc scripts is to assess member formula whenever it is referenced as part of an intermediate form of Essbase.  If they have been stored, then it will have to be read from in the block but not actually calculated.  You get to play the popular game of Essbase to ' when I want to feel pain?  As long as the dynamic calc is in the block, calculations in memory are usually so fast that it doesn't really matter.  If the dynamic calc goes through blocks, then there may be some very noticeable pain.

    As for your specific question, you need to be more explicit.

    Kind regards

    OK it still applies, even if your logical formula must have something in place as:

    IF ASG_GRADE = "GRADE1" OR ASG_GRADE = "GRADE2" THEN
    (value = )
    ELSE IF etc.

    Personally, I would be inclined to do as a table defined by the user, then make a GET_TABLE_VALUE by passing in the rank (instead of an overall value, I mean)

    If you have this kind of logic, the DB corresponding quality should match what is appropriate to , so as long you do your daily val * no of days type calculation, then you should properly be pro-rating

  • Separate the phone numbers on several lines

    Hello

    I have a list of phone numbers in a single column. Some cells have 1 phone number, some have 2, and some have 0. Cells with 2 phone numbers are separated by semicolons.

    I need all the phone numbers in a single column with 1 phone number in each row. The order does not matter, so I'll "Sort Ascending" once completed to get rid of the empty cells with no phone number.

    I need a function that takes the numbers after the comma and puts them on their own line in the same column.

    Note that the numbers are in the format: + 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx so if please be aware formatting as text and not as a mathematical equation.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi B,

    Easy enough, as long as all entries are accurate according to the format you described. Here are two examples, all tous deux two on the same table. The selected cells are part of the first example and are not used in the second.

    End of flag: The two examples use the flag to end on the A11 to indicate when the formulas have reached the end of the list. As entered flag consists of eight occurrences of the text "end" (including the trailing space), with the final space deleted. This will be assimilated by the formula two phone numbers, provide an indicator of the end of each list.

    Example 1:

    Separates the first phone number in column B using this formula in B2, filled up to the last line containing a phone number in column A (or the line beyond if you want that the flag of the 'end').

    B2: = IF (LEN (A) < 1", LEFT(A,15))

    Len (A) checks no entry in its ranks. If that is found, IF put a string NULL. If there is an entry, LEFT out the first 15 characters.

    The second n phone number each line is copied into column C with this similar formula in C2 and filled up to the last line containing an entry in column A.

    C2: is equal to IF (LEN (A) < 16", RIGHT(A,15))

    If there are two numbers in this line from A cell, the semi colon will be the 16th character.

    After having extracted the numbers in two columns:

    Select all the cells in column B of B2 on the last containing a B10 number in this example). Copy.

    Go menu Edition > paste formula results

    Select all the cells in column C of C2 on the last containing a number C10). Copy.

    Click once on the empty cell in column B, following the list of the "first numbers" (B11 in this example).

    Go to edit > paste the results of the formulas.

    You can now sort the table according to the values (telephone numbers) in column B.

    Example 2:

    Separates the first phone number in column B using this formula in B2, filled up to the last line containing a phone number in column A (or the line beyond if you want that the flag of the 'end').

    B2: = IF (LEN (A) < 1", LEFT(A,15))

    Len (A) checks no entry in its ranks. If that is found, IF put a string NULL. If there is an entry, LEFT out the first 15 characters.

    The second phone number n that each line is copied into column B, starting after the cell containing the flag of the 'end '.

    Enter the following formula in the marketing of cells (B12 in the example) and fill down until the formula produces another flag to end.

    B12: = IF (LEN (A2) < 16", RIGHT(A2,15))

    Note that because this version of the formula is not on the same line as the EMF of the cell that is copied the phone number, it must the line included in the references.

    When the terminator is reached:

    Click on each of the cells that contain the end flags, and then press DELETE to remove the flags from the list.

    Select all THE cells B2 at the end of the list of telephone numbers. Copy.

    Go menu Edition > paste formula results

    With replaced by their latest results calculated formulas, you can now sort the table on column B.

    Kind regards

  • To loop through the block of detail to validate documents

    Hello

    I have a MSDS mater where the detailed form has multiple records.

    A block of Master transfer_date and other columns

    Block of retail has prod_no, prod_transfer_by, prod_transfer_count, prod_transfer_to, comments etc.

    (a) a single rule is that on a single day only 50 transfer of prod_transfer_count a prod_no are allowed by a person (prod_transfer_by).

    If it exceeds, that person should not be allowed to continue.

    (b) there are two other forms which is similar to the following where users are allowed to make transfers of products.

    (c) same prod_no, prod_transfer_by,prod_transfer_count, prod_transfer_to, comments of detail, only rule is 50 transfer of prod_transfer_count must not exceed 50

    Taking into account the above, how can I make a loop on the recordings and whether a person who exceeds prod_transfer_count over 50 (which is available in the database table) to be stopped

    to go further? Master form has an option to save as draft and other users are allowed to enter the details in block of retail. So, then the output of the project above rules should be considered.

    Any help on this is much appreciated.

    Hello

    If I'm not mistaken...

    You declare a function of form such as:

    function get_sumProducts (i_prod_no, , .prod_no%type)

    Return number

    is

    number of v_ret;

    Start

    Start

    Select sum ()

    in v_ret

    Of

    where prod_no = i_prod_no;

    exception

    When no_data_found

    then v_ret: = 0;

    end;

    Return v_ret;

    end;

    Subsequently, you attach this form to your item (non-base) as:
