Protection mode change

Hi all;

It is a test case Just tried to change the protection mode (it has been good and also worked well)

PRIMARY_DB_UNIQUE_NAME: MRC

STANDBY_DB_UNIQUE_NAME: STBYCRMS

Initially we set up physical standby like "MAX PERFORMANCE"

I changed the mode of protection performance max for Max availability.

DGMGRL > CHANGE the DATABASE "stbycrms" SET PROPERTY "LOGXPTMODE"="SYNCHRONIZE";

...

DGMGRL > EDIT CONFIGURATION SET PROTECTION MODE YOU MAXAVAILABILITY;

...

DGMGRL > see the configuration;

Configuration - dgcrms

Protection mode: MaxAvailability

Databases:

MRC - primary

stbycrms - physical of the standby database

Fast-Start Failover: DISABLED

The configuration status:

SUCCESS

> > On the primary database

SYS > display the parameter log_archive_dest_2.

VALUE OF TYPE NAME

------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

string LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 = "stby_crmsdb", delay service LGWR SYNC AFFIRM = optional compression 0 = disable max_failure = 0 max_connections = 1 reopen = 300

db_unique_name = "stbycrms" net_timeout = 30, valid_for =(all_logfiles,primary_role)

My question is, suppose I make the transition to digital,

We need to execute commands of primary database also?

DGMGRL > CHANGE the DATABASE "CRM" SET PROPERTY "LOGXPTMODE"="SYNCHRONIZE";

DGMGRL > EDIT CONFIGURATION SET PROTECTION MODE YOU MAXAVAILABILITY;

...

DB version: 11.2.0.1

Her need to be in SYNC since his handshake. Since one end is SYNC across is the handshake ASYNC transfer cannot be done.

Doc: provides https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e40771/dgmgrl.htm#DGBKR640 information

Notes on use

  • Before using the EDIT CONFIGURATION command to set the protection mode is the MAXPROTECTION or MAXAVAILABILITY mode, make sure that at least a database out there has its LogXptMode database of property the value SYNC .

It may be useful

    For the primary and Standby databases, it's protection guard data display "Maximum Performance" mode. According to our needs, we would go for "maximum availability". I can go ahead and change, however I have questions in mind before making the change.

    1. do I need to change the protection on both primary & standby mode?
    2. do on DB primary change automatically the standby mode too?
    3. If the answer is NO to the 2nd question, I need to change the mode of protection to standby also? In the otherwise, primary and Standby will be run in two different modes.

    Please let us know of your entries.

  • Cannot open the Adobe reader protected mode due to incompatibility with your system configuration.

    Original title: trying to open a PDF file problems

    I use Windows 7 on a 32-bit computer with Firefox and Adobe Reader X 1.  Try to open a PDF with any application or attempt to open Adobe Reader via the icon programs, product now the following error message:

    «Adobe reader could not open protected mode due to incompatibility with the system configuration you.» Want to open Acrobat Reader with protected Mode off? "Answer either 'Yes' to this question produces:"Adobe could not load the DLL base. "

    On other occasions, trying to open the pdf file has directed me to an interface recommending me to open it with my Canon printer.  Try to change the default program used on a PDF file generates the above error messages previously.

    I reinstalled Adobe and who did it.  Clearly a problem for Adobe.  Regret not having tried that earlier, I thought that it couldn't be that simple.

    We have followed the documentation to configure protected mode and did the following:

    1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\Privileged "bProtectedMode" = 1
      1. We can confirm that the protected mode is enabled in effect

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the details.

    I'm afraid this doesn't seem to be something that's going to work. Protected Mode player won't allow printing to a printer that is already installed on the system. Your options are either:

    1. install the printer before launching the player with this command line (perhaps install the printer through the same custom application that try to print the PDF file), GOLD,.

    2 disable the Protected Mode

  • How to prevent the dialog box asking how to manage PDFs in Protected Mode is disabled?

    Hello

    So I must be missing a registry key setting somewhere or something (I hope).  Need Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.4.  When install us Adobe Acrobat Reader, we disable the Safe_mode due to some problems with it.

    My problem is, when you start Reader or try to view a PDF file embedded in a web page (or elsewhere for that matter), it will appear a dialog box asking you how to proceed.  You are given three options:

    1. Open a PDF file while protected mode this time.
    2. Always open a PDF file while the Protected Mode is disabled.
    3. Never together open PDFs, that protected mode is disabled.

    I need to configure so that option 2 is the behavior of player.

    We are a small shop, I have only 4 people in my team (except me).  We have more than 1,500 machines as public kiosks that need to get this configured when 10.1.4 is installed.  Player is currently obsolete in our deployment, apparently because of this problem keeps pushing the newer versions.

    If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.  I have manually set and looked at the hive in registry for Adobe and have not seen any change in existing keys or the new keys created so I'm not sure it's something that can be made through the registry...

    Looks like the anti-virus was the culprit.  I have to remind these exceptions!  Just a shame that you must add a source of vulnerability as an exception...

  • Raccoon VPN error: Identity Protection mode is not acceptable

    VPN seems to stop working after a while. The console then reports the error: racoon: Identity Protection mode is not acceptable. The solution is just to stop and restart the VPN using the OS X Server application.

    Using the latest released version 5.1.5 and OS X 10.11.5 server.

    This problem is of long standing and has not been cured by OS X software or server updates.

    Hoping someone can explain what is happening and how to fix it.

    "Back to My Mac" is incompatible with the VPN service. It should be disabled on the server and on an AirPort base station, if necessary.

  • a speed of read/write DAQ card mode change will reach 200K

    HEY, man,

    I have a project needs to test two points I name them point A and point B, the first time, I should point A 5V DC input, voltage inductive test point B, sencodly, give point B 5V DC input and inductive point test output voltage, this means and two analog ports must read and write sharing mode , and the test speed must be 100 KB, if I have a 200 KB data acquisition card, can the speed of read/write mode change reach 100 KB for an analog port? or, please give your suggest for my this kind of situation, thank you.

    Hi API,.

    I see that you are trying to measure voltages using a single channel at a time on a data acquisition card.

    Unfortunately, you cannot change the inputs to the outputs or vice versa on a map of data acquisition, they are static.

    What I recommend is either using a switch like this: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/207130 where you will need a high chassis.

    Or, having four channels, 2 inputs and 2 outputs and try to measure it. You should have the necessary speed as well.

    If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer.

    Thank you very much
