  It seems that your screen displays some graphical anomalies when you connect to your user name. I would use these troubleshooting steps in the following article on the resolution of screens:

  Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

  If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

Depending on where I click, I get all sorts of interesting color effects. Keylight, Primate, or any other key in AE is the wrong tool to hit the bottom in this image.   If no success, take a picture of the problem.  Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation.  If necessary, show the technician, an image of the screen.

  I am an image with a camera CCD of Basler Aviator avA2300 30km, that camera for 8-bit and 12-bit files. I play with 12 bits for the first time.

  When I display the image with the histogram (see attachment), the depth of the gray level is correct (0-4095), but it includes all the pixels in 16 evenly distributed 4096 levels of bins. I used the setting of Bit Mapping display 16 to map pixels (see attached photo, that is maybe what I am doing wrong?).

  You see in the two pictures that it renders with vertical bands of light and dark, could suggest it is read as 8 or 16 bit and read my data of 12 bits incorrectly? (it isn't just a mistake in my screenshot, that's what I actually see).

  Why does seem to give the right number of gray levels, but not to distribute the pixels than I like? This is the first time that I worked with anything other than 8-bit images in labview, so I guess it is something simple that I'm missing.

  I suspect that your problem is that the installer of the action is not compatible with Photoshop CC2015. Modern versions of Photoshop do not use the old Extension Manager and so if the developer has not updated their actions, you will not be able to use them.   What version of Aperture? Is OS X 10.7.5 as you say correct for your OS? You shoot JPEG or RAW? If RAW device? Wharton has changed since this worked?

  Have you of the 'show Talking Points' enabled in the view menu? Then you can see small white boxes superimposed on the image in the Viewer.

  

  You can enable or disable on / off power with ⌥F talking points.
