  Did you remove the database of the PLUGS as shown in step 2 of the linked document John Waller? In general, this solves the problem.

  If uninstalling, deleting and reinstalling CAPS do not work, please visit this discussion forum where users with a similar problem discuss possible corrections: Adobe photoshop cs5 extended error installation (Mac); Inconsistency in the database of the installation program. It's an old NET, but it can be useful.

  I'm on a 2007 (then high-end) Mac Pro with 2 x 3 GHz Quad - Core Intel Xeon processor, Quadro 4000 card and 16 GB of RAM running Mac OS X 10.7.4

  I'll try-exporter and importer FCP XML but worry about losing some aspects of the project to export/import unnecessary.  This is a huge feature film project.  Since it should not do the above it makes me nervous also about stability, etc. of the book.

  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Could not find this problem in existing wires, I apologize if I missed it somewhere.

  Typical troubleshooting first attempt for this kind of scenario: create a new project of CS6 & use the Import Project command to put in your draft 5.5 in.  Let us know if that fixes for you.

  The GPU acceleration isn't a feature of CS5, CS4.  Also check to make sure that your Mac turn he would support.  You need a Mac Pro which is a 3.1 or 4.1.  I have a Mac Pro 2008, and if you look in the System Profiler, it is a 2.1, which means that it will not support a graphic card compatible nvidia CUDA.

"About this Mac" shows as unknown processors, but acknowledges there are two, with a total of 8 cores.   Amateur of the firmware upgrader is available through netkas.org. When you have found the right forum, you must register on their site to access the update. This is not supported by Apple, and it is not for commercial use.

  I just bought a new power supply (UPS) uninterrupted and it comes with the option to transform the every night to save energy (after I stop the desk top Mac Pro).

  I searched the internet and Apple support communities and apparently there is no big advantage or disadvantage to stop the Mac Pro every night.  It does not harm the desk top, it allows to save some energy, and it makes it safe from hackers while I'm asleep.

  I can't find anything that tells me if there is a problem with completely set turned off power every night well.  Anyone know of any reason not to use "SHUT DOWN" and then turn off the UPS?  I guess the only difference it makes to the desk top Mac Pro is that it uses a battery to keep the current date and time.

It's just all hype sales!  They used to tell you which disks have been supported, but now that still seems to just be an afterthought in CS5, there is not ehardware in detail everything that is taken in charge and what is not...

  I am positive that your Mac Pro has the connectors. The SATA cable it can be somewhat difficult if you're not comfortable deleting some parts with a screwdriver, but I found it very easy.

  Cables SATA sitting around, I had had a little long boxes on the ends of the connector forcing me to have to remove a small amount of plastic from the piece of fan housing. I think that if you buy a kit from OWC cable they include cables that are lower profile but whatever it is, it's not too bad. I just use a dremel to remove a small piece about 1 "x 1" directly above the ports. "

  You will see that they have low profile cable I was referring to that and so they didn't need to cut the case fan at all. I would say just OWC (www.macsales.com), because they know what you are looking for and you can sell a kit that has the cables you need, including 4-pin-power to SATA power. I recommend you to install the two cables while you're here, so if you later decide to add another SATA drive or an SSD, you will not need to take off again. BTW, add an OCZ Vertex 2 60 GB SSd drive as my boot drive for the OS and applications has been the single most visible upgrade I did and makes the Mac Pro just smoke! Same value as I just pasted the small SSD up there in the optical Bay without a mounting kit, and it works great!

  In all honesty, theough, the external enclosure for Blu - Ray works well and is easier to access the drive, because it is now located on my desktop. If you're uncomfortable to disassemble your machine just get quadruple housing interface with the chip set Oxford 934DSB that I can guarantee you that it works out of the box. It cost $140 for the whole machine, not bad compared to the alternatives.

  CS 5 you can install it on the latest version of Mac OS, its not otherwise impossible except scenario very very rare. But the official response is this old version apps are not tested against the latest Mac or no support is available for CS 5 Adobe assistance now. But you can get help from staff, but also colleagues.
