  I'll assume you're on Windows 7. Windows Media Player 12 is not supported on Windows Vista or XP and as such, you will need to go back to Windows Media Player 11.

  You can check the permissions in the registry to ensure that it is able to record information.

  Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

  Open the registry editor by clicking on start, type regedit.exe in the search box and press on enter, you may be prompted to continue.

  In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, MediaPlayer, then Preferences.

  It should be an element named LastLocation_26, right-click on it and select Rename, and rename it to old LastLocation_26.

  Leave the open registry editor and open Media Player, then move it to your favorite place and close Media Player.

  In the registry editor, press F5 on your keyboard and check if LastLocation_26 has been recreated.

  If this is not the case, there is probably a permissions problem.

  If so, the location must be registered.

• Does not print the correct size of images

  My computer is running Vista and I recently installed a printer HP 1510.  It print regular documents well, but when I try to print 4 x 6 photos it will not print the full size.  I gives me only one option in the print job (Windows Photo Gallery is a default software) full page.  I tried selecting off selection 'mount framework' and there was no difference.  I have reset the printer a few times and verified that all drivers are up-to-date.  I just want to click on the picture and print the right size!  Any help would be appreciated.

  You don't have to have the full feature software installed correctly for your printer for this to all work:

  Install the full features software - printer

  If you have installed the printer software, it is probably OK.

  If you select the paper format 4 X 6, then you can also select other options listed in the last column.  These are mutually exclusive.  The available options change depending on the paper type you select.

  You use paper 4 X 6 in the printer?

  Printing preferences are something you have to set up the way you like - and then change them when you change the document, change the 'thing' you print, your idea on what you want...

  You can click on a picture and have it automatically print a 4 X 6 photo if you have a printer with a tray-picture in it with the photo paper loaded and ready to go.  You would still have to change the printing preferences if you want to change the configuration for no reason at all.

  I think I might be missing the point entirely.  My apologies for the lazy-brain.  The smile.

• Effects don't play no not in the timeline? Captivate 5

  Hi all

  I'm relatively new to then sometimes Captivate and I forgot the unlikely to overlap nuances and prevent me from doing something that seems like it should be obvious, so here is my problem:

  I'm clicking on a picture I imported to a slide in Captivate 5. Then I right click and select 'apply the effect '. I chose the one I want, and it shows in the chronology of the effect. I press 'live preview' (I think it is interesting to note that the 'play' button is not an option, just "live preview") and it shows me what I applied very well. Ok.

  Then I'll return to the film display, press play on the timeline, and none of the effects play. Things just sits there (apart from the slide transitions that play).

  They play if click "Preview of the project", but not if I'm just playing a slide or attempt to read the timeline. I check to make sure that they are "turned on".

  Any tips?

  Hello and welcome to the forum,

  The play button on the timeline is like scrubbing the playhead or slide Preview. Contrary with the preview of other options (like project, next 5 slides, from this slide) there is no compiling a SWF file in this case. This is the reason why you don't see game effects, even if you had an inserted Flash animation, he would play. The team created the live preview in the effect controls panel to allow you to see the effects on the object while editing. To view all the animations on a slide, you must use one of the other modes of preview.

  I'm new to version 8 of Captivate reactive and has created a course which with little video files. These videos are in .mp4 (HD 1024 format) version. When I visited these video files in Design view - they play in preview mode. However, the video files are not rendered when I check on mobile devices.   Agree with Anthony. you need to test not only the project, but the MP4 itself from a Web server if you experience these symptoms... Ideally the same Web server you deliver the content of.

  Some Web servers are not configured correctly for the delivery of media (i.e. ' MIME Types'). Otherwise, if properly Setup, the media will get on the desktop...

  I don't have a quiz in my career, but I was able to get mining by setting the last button 'next' in the slide before the last as a set of object quizable to give 1 point in the properties panel for this button. Then, in the editions preferences, I use:

  

  It works for me, but a few LMS are more picky. I had to play with the settings in these panels, until I managed to do it to work with my LMS.

  I use first Pro CS5

  For the first time what works on a new project all the clips during the preview in the source monitor's search and his works.

  When any clip/s are done sliding on a timeline, they do not play the sound even if the audio monitor shows his is crossing.

  I tried setting up of several new projects, and the same thing happens.

  If I import the music again the same problem occurs.

  All audio tracks are set for stereo, and there is no mono soundtracks.

  I checked the previous projects and the sound works on timelines and parameters of audio material is identical.

  It is strange that the sound plays all the clips in the source Panel but not on the timeline in all new project.

  Also sound on any project previous plays on time lines so I was wondering if a reboot will sort problem.

  In any case, I rebooted the computer and erased the media cache as suggested. I also copied clips folder in a new folder and re-imported a few clips of test and they all work very well.

  I tried to use original excerpts in the new timeline (not those reimported) and they also work very well.  All the clips in the original timeline will play without sound still the timeline looks identical in all ways and settings.  As it is strange.

  Welcomes any other suggestions or thoughts on what is the problem with the timeline would be interesting.

  I am trying to create a video with audio in AE CS4. It must be synchronized average little by little, to say voices to be mapped with the video/animation sequence.

  But im getting a huge problem here, my video works but my audio does not work I can not hear audio at all... I tried to import the audio into mp3, mp4 and wav format but no solution I am facing the same problem. But outside the CS4 audio exhibit very fine, I even used many device to test audio everywhere as the audio works fine... and my hardware (Sound) system are up-to-date.

  I browsed google and tried all sorts of solution here but no use. I used numpad + 0 for voice, but whenever he starts from the beginning as a ram preview. It is difficult to adjust the voice between the two / sync make exactly. I changed the settings by going into preferences and exit but no use

  That AE can do for you, it's literally a RAM Preview. You can just use space because only you will get a preview of the video. A preview rather RAM to hear the audio. In the Preview Panel, there is a checkbox indicating "to present" check that so that when you do a RAM preview it would start the wherever is your current-time indicator. Just so place a second or two before are to be synchronized.

  I use audio widgets with mp3. All play when published to the catalyst for business but do not play when published on the online site.

  I just solved this problem. It turns out that Mp3 were not playing on uppercase due site in the names of files online.

  Changed the names of files to include only lower-case letters and it worked!

• Premiere Pro cc plays do not in the timeline

  I just started on Premiere pro CC and that is what makes no sence I

  I have an iMac and my movies are on a USB hard drive

  I import some little clip and the film now is about 3 minutes.

  (1) when the helmet is pluged - I can hear sound... Sometimes, when I disconnect the headphones I can both see and hear the movie. Sometimes I can't see the film and hear it.

  (2) sometimes the film would not begin to play when I hit the SPACEBAR on the keyboard.

  Can someone help me out here? Is this a bug. This fact happened when I used Premiere Pro cs6.

  I've just updated House memories of game to Version 3 of 2, now it will not convert the video files in FH on DVD standard. It is used for version 2. It is no longer supported? I get error that says that "some media files are not written to the disk as they are in file formats that are not supported".

  I am able to create AVCHD discs with no problems. Version 2 would convert these files so that I could make copies of DVDs also regularly.

  Well, when all else fails, uninstall and reinstall. Has worked with aid and they have recommended that. It worked. Should have done that in the first place but upgrade seemed to work fine except for that. Now it works very well for AVCHD and DVD Standard from FH video files.

  Your photo library is larger than the handset sizes original in your library pictures because pictures take the edited versions previews and thumbnails as well. There are also masks for brushed settings or thumbnails of scanned faces.

  To see if you got all the original ctrl - click on your photo library, use "Show Package Contents", look at the size of the folder "masters".  It is roughly the size of the folder with the exported originals?
