    Hi Nancy,.

Encryption of files and folders is a way to protect against unauthorized access. EFS (ENCRYPTING File System) is a Windows feature that you can use to store information on your hard disk in an encrypted format. Encryption is the best protection that Windows provides to help you keep your information secure.

You can make a folder and then encrypt it.

Do, or you have installed Chrome? It appears that an update of Chrome, (mid April 2013), is responsible for the loss of the option new folder. Even if Chrome has not been installed, here are two patches.

  • Thunderbird 38.01, when I created a new e-mail account, it does not take account the preferences of archive and records everything in a single folder, although the old accounts work well.

I installed Thunderbird on a system different and migrated with success profile, but earlier today that Gmail wasn't picking up messages correctly, so I ended up using the new feature of Thunderbird. (I'm also spent POP IMAP for Gmail). The newly created has no trouble picking up the messages from the server, but when I try to archive, he pours everything into one folder. My settings call for records of the year and the month. Each account other archive correctly. The newly created is not in a row.

While poking around, I can have answered my own question. Thunderbird was not ignoring the parameters month and year for archiving completely. He was pouring newly archived messages from the Gmail account in a single folder. However, it was also archiving each of them in the old Gmail account archives folder and putting them in the correct subfolders it. It's strange, but it is achievable. I guess that Thunderbird has recognized the same email address used to set up the old account (which wasn't downloading mail more for some reason any) and the new. I changed the folder on the new configuration settings to point to the folder of old archives, and now Thunderbird archives only one copy of each message, as it should.

  • Can I create a task that includes the 2 c series modules?

I am trying to create a single task that includes 2 modules of the series C OR - 9425, but when I wire the constant "Mod3/port0, Mod4/port0" physical channel in the DAQmx create Virtual Channel.vi I get error-200086 which indicates the syntax range physical channel in the input string is not valid because several devices have been included in the chain.  It is my understanding of LabView help this multidevice tasks are allowed.  Also according to article KB http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/CF85114C6025C84C862571C000722DDA devices multiple tasks are supported for devices of the series S, series C and DSA devices, and according to this article KB http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/78E44565FD87E7D686257108007F94F8?OpenDocument I formatted my constant of physical channel correctly.

Please can someone explain why I get this error when all indications are that this should be a simple thing to do?

My C Series modules are in slots 3 and 4 in a chassis cDAQ-9188, I'm currently under LabView 8.5.1, with Windows XP

    Thank you

    Eric

    Hi Eric,.

I am afraid that you cannot configure the hardware timing with the module 9425 in CompactDAQ. The NI 9425 data sheet explains: «the NI 9425 is a static digital module, so you can use it to perform only call by the software or static operations when installed in a chassis NI CompactDAQ.»

For I, AO and countertops, daisy chaining multiple calls to DAQmx create channel equivalent to specifying a list of physical channels, but it's different for DIO. Only one virtual channel DIO can contain several physical channels (lines). It would be quite reasonable to assume that by specifying a list of lines 'with a single channel for all lines"would cause DAQmx put all the lines in a single virtual channel, but see how it is implemented under DAQmx, is not possible when the lines are on multiple devices. Also, it would be reasonable to assume that if DAQmx could not put all the lines in a single virtual channel, it would create a virtual ring road, but that is not how it is implemented-, it returns the error you received.

Instead, here are two approaches to all 64 lines in a single task. Either we have to work.

Approach: create a single task, containing two virtual channels (MyChan0 and MyChan1). MyChan0 contains cDAQ1Mod3/port0 / line0:31 and MyChan1 contains cDAQ1Mod4/port0 / line0:31. Digital 2D Bool NChan 1Samp read VI returns a 2 x 32 table of Boolean. To flatten it into an array of 64 elements D 1, you must use the table to reshape or some other method.

The task of DAQmx > ownership of channels is here to show that there are two virtual channels named MyChan0 and MyChan1. Also, I used a loop for to show that you don't have to encode multiple calls to DAQmx Create Channel. The constant "a channel for all lines" is redundant because it is the default value.

B approach: create a single task, containing 64 virtual channels (MyChan0 through MyChan63). This example uses the constant 'a channel for each line', which is not the default. MyChan0 contains port0/cDAQ1Mod3/$line0, MyChan1 contains cDAQ1Mod3/port0/line1, etc.. Digital 1 d 1Samp Bool NChan read VI returns an array of 64 D 1 of Boolean elements. If you have used the Digital 2D Bool NChan 1Samp VI instead, you would get a 64 x 1 matrix, there are 64 virtual channels with 1 line of each.

  • Does not include the network folder in the document library

I'm a network administrator.  I created a %username\documents for all users folder and apply the necessary security.  For most users, I make this folder available offline, and I'm able to include in their document library.

For the last two users I did this, but failed to include the folder in the Documents, the error that it is not indexed.  On the server, the drive and the subfolders are all able to be indexed in the settings.  The file is properly sync to the computer.  But I still get the error that the file is not indexed.
I have disabled the sync on the computer, has added the formatdatabase reg key to restart the computer, turned on files offline, set the folder resynchronization, complete synchronization, still cannot add to the document library.
Then, in case there was a kind of corruption of the files on the server, I deleted the network folder, disabled the files offline on your PC, erased the cache of offline files, created a new documents folder on the server with the correct permissions, activated files offline, synchronize the empty file to the PC and tried to add the new folder of network document to the document library on the PC.  Failed because the empty folder is not indexed.  Once again.
    Any ideas?

    The fixed.

I needed to turn on the Windows search function to make it work.  You can synchronize files without it, but needs apparently indexing Windows Search to work.  Which is weird, because the Windows Search service can be disabled and it still works.
I rode on a group policy to disable windows search service because people are complaining about their PC slows down during the reindex operation.  This did not affect the ability to synchronize the network drives or to include them in the libraries.
On both machines on which I had the problem Windows search had been uninstalled programs and features (which is not really uninstall it, only it hides in Windows features.)
Conclusion: OK to disable windows search service, do not uninstall or disable the function.
  • How to create a new folder on the C drive

    I have Windows XP

Although you can follow these instructions, usually the place to create documents and folders is in My Documents (just so that you have all your documents created by the user in the same place).

I suspect that the reason why the instructions you have put my site in the root of the drive is to make it easier for the person who writes the directions when they eventually save you from things here.

Click Start, click My Documents.  This opens a Windows Explorer window, displaying the contents of your My Documents folder.

Depending on how your computer is set up (and which version of Windows you are using), you can see a blue column on the left side of the window with the title "file and folder tasks.»  See this image: http://onlineitpro.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/mydocs.png

If you have the blue column, simply click on the link that says "make a new folder".  A new folder appears at the bottom of the list in the right pane with the mention "New folder" highlighted.  Just type my website and press Enter and the new folder will be renamed my Web site.

If the blue column does not appear, simply click on file (upper-left), and then New and then folder.  It is exactly the same only by clicking on the "New folder" link in the column of file and folder tasks.

If you want to follow directions exactly, after you click Start > My Documents, just type C:\ in the address bar and click on the Green Go button.  This will change the display of your My Documents folder to the location where the instructions as you put the folder.  Then follow the rest of the instructions above.

  • Why can't I create a new folder in the documents?

Never had problem before you create a new folder, but for the last few months have been unable to do.

  • How can I use Powershell to create shortcuts "File Folder" in the section network location?

    Hello

I am trying to create a powershell batch file that will create a bunch of shortcuts to files to Sharepoint document libraries network.

To get an idea, the manual method would be to go to computer--> right click--> Add a network location

From there, I can enter the path of the URL to a Sharepoint document library and it will create a folder shortcut in this library of documents that allow people access to the library without having to go through Sharepoint to access.  So when the user clicks the shortcut, it opens an Explorer window to view and manipulate the files.

I found the script next, but it will create a shortcut 'Internet' when I put in the path instead of a shortcut of the file folder. So when the user clicks on it, it just opens the web page.  Any help would be great!  Thank you!

    [Environment]: GetFolderPath ("ApplicationData")
    $path = [Environment]: GetFolderPath("ApplicationData") + '\Microsoft\Windows\Network Shortcuts\ACL Documents.lnk.
    $comobject = new-Object - comObject WScript.Shell
    $link = $comobject. CreateShortcut ($path)
#targetpath can be the UNC path or physical path to .exe
    $link.targetpath = "https://finance.domain.net/ACL/Shared%20Documents".
    $link. IconLocation = '% SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,137 '.
    $link. Save()

  • Create subfolders in the folder in the document library

I am trying to create subfolders in a particular file, I have in the document library.  I tried right click, select new, and there is no option to create a new folder.  I tried to create a folder on the desktop and by dragging in the folder and the files came the file disappeared!  For example, I managed to trade shows, so each show has its own file in the document library.  For each show, I want to create subfolders for contracts, menus, etc.  I hope that this option has not disappeared in the new OS!

    Hello

You should be able to simply locate the folder in the library where you want to create the subfolder.

Double-click the folder to open it then right click inside this folder and select the new/folder option.

When you open the library, look at the top-right of the window and make sure that this folder is selected in the Arrange by: menu drop-down.

If you have this option is set to something like name or modification Date, then you will not see the new/folder option.

Let us know if that helps.
