Pump of observational data concerning covers them

Hello

I would improt and export a schema data, but when export/import, I would only have tables with data for some tables with data.

Ex:

If I have 20 tables in a schema, and I would have 15 tables with their data and 5 with the data.

How can do us the same thing using expdp/impdp.

Concerning

Méhul

but when the export/import, I would only have tables with data for some tables with data.

As you mentioned that you need a few tables without data and rest with the data, so having one parfile mentioning these a few tables in the parameter tables with content = metadata_only. This will be the structure of the table with no data. When you import only the tables will be created. It will have all the data that you export dump had none.

    I think that this is a general error code that seems to be a catch-all for different things.  We have recently improved our vRA 6.2.0 to 6.2.3 battery and came across this error during the upgrade of our first instance of web server IaaS.  We have upgraded first our independent orchestrators, then our identity server, our server load-balanced unit and finally our database.  Those, that everything is fine (less a minor problem with the upgrade of the server identity).  Then, we have reached this error during the upgrade of our first web server of IaaS (we have two that are load-balanced).  Finally, we had to join the VMware support and after looking into the problem, it turned to restore the cert of the identity in two vRealize device servers.  After doing this, all our IaaS servers upgraded without problem.

  • Start the observer data guard in the background

    Hello

    is there a way to start the observer keeps data in the background, without showing the credentials of the db in the list of processes?

    It is usually recommended to start with a command similar to this:

    nohup dgmgrl observer 'start' sys/XXX@dgtest &

    A simple ps unfortunately shows the sys password:

    Oracle@RAC-prod1: ~ $ ps - ef | grep dgmgrl

    I agree that it is a security risk.

    I would probably try database credentials stored in a wallet.

    I'm sorry that I don't seem to have an example.

    The Data Pump export utility provides a mechanism for transferring data objects
    between Oracle databases. The utility is invoked with the following command:

       Example: expdp scott/tiger DIRECTORY=dmpdir DUMPFILE=scott.dmp

    You can control how Export runs by entering the 'expdp' command followed
    by various parameters. To specify parameters, you use keywords:

    How to export all direcories an oracle instance?

    Thank you very much
    Kind regards

    Hello

    You can use a pl/sql script to backup directories.

    Example of

    SELECT 'CREATE DIRECTORY ' || directory_name || ' AS ''' || DIRECTORY_PATH ||''''  FROM dba_directories;

    Be careful with the default oracle directories.
    And that's to see the patterns that can access the directory

    SELECT grantor, grantee, table_schema, table_name, privilege
    FROM all_tab_privs
    WHERE table_name = 'directory_name';

    Hope that helps.
    Kind regards
    Felipe.

  • Golden Gate lot compared to pump Exp - Imp data replication

    Hello
    I have a Production server running many jobs of DBMS for 4 to 5 hours after the closure of the opening hours.

    Procedure:

    Time activity

    The work of DBMS T1 run
    The work of DBMS T2 run
    T3 to generate reports
    Work T4 DBMS run
    The work of DBMS T5 run

    Purposes of the declaration, I would like to use a different server so that it does not stop at the time T3 and can move forward for execution.

    I have two solutions on the spot.

    (A) at time T3 launch replication batch Golden Gate. After the updated data (IE until T2) is replicated first stage T3

    (B) take an incremental backup after T2 and importation of report server. After the backup is made go ahead with T3.

    What solution will take less time? Replication of incremental backup or Golden Gate lot?

    Thank you for your contributions.

    Hiren Pandya s

    GoldenGate is not a tool "batch replication." This is a continuous real-time re-captured & apply the tool. If you try to use it for replication 'batch', you not only make life difficult for yourself, but you are also seriously limiting its potential.

    If you have two servers, a production server 'A' and a 'B' report server, then just turn on the replication of the GoldenGate all the time; for example, using your example (replication from Server A to Server B):

    = Activity time =
    T1' (was Q3) start GG (A-> B) to generate reports out of 'B '.
    T2' (was Q1) DBMS job run
    T3 "(a T2) DBMS jobs run"
    T4' (was Q3)-> wait 'backwardness' of A-B to be zero-> can generate reports. (Possibly disable GG while reports are running.)
    T5' (was Q4) work of DBMS (GG can continue to reproduce at any time...)
    T6' (a T5) DBMS job run

    Note that if GG will run without interruption of time T1 = ", then, at the time where you get to T4, you probably only need a few seconds or a few minutes before the report instance is caught up ("offset = 0 "). If you want to report off Server B without the results of the use of DBMS (T5 and T6'), then interrupt the replication until you have completed running reports. You can return to the replication at any time - no data will be lost, as GG always picks up back where he was arrested.

    (I hope I understood the problem correctly).

    See you soon,.

  • data blocks - change them dynamically

    Hi guys. Very new to forms and ps/sql.

    Just a help please - I create a search field that lists in a tabular format data extracted from the database, but I'm not sure how to in this regard.

    First question is - when I create a data block and run the form, I can get that it displays data when I click on the button "execute the query." How can I do so it opens automatically when I click on the search button.

    In addition, how would I go about editing the SQL dynamically (that he's looking for what has been typed in the text box)? I would use set_block_property or something I don't?

    Thank you guys

    Do you want that after selection of a record, the user presses a button and then it goes to another block in which the data block is filled with the data user selected?

    In oracle forms, when you click on a particular line, it automatically focuses on the document.

    If you just need to write the code in the when button pressed your button below.

    go_block(');
    :. := :.;

    Similarly, you can expand on that.

    It will be useful.

    Check the answer as useful / OK, if this can help you

  • Options of data compared to exp/imp pump

    I use data for the first time pump and I export 1 discount table in another case where it has been accidentally truncated. I don't see the options that I'm used to exp/imp data pump. For example, to ignore create errors if the structure of the table exist already (ingnore =) or to not load the index (index =). Please let me know if you have experience with this and if it is a question.

Not yet clear how I could use it. Now, I try to take my only export and loading data in the 2nd instance. The table already exists but is truncated, and I don't know how it will load the index. Hello

    a other people have already said the main advantage of datapump is performance - it is not just a little more fast exp/imp it is massively faster (especially when combined with parallel).

    It is also more flexible (once much more) - it will even create users with exports level schema which imp can't do for you (and it is very annoying that he could never).

    It is reusable

    It has an api plsql

    It supports all types of objects and new features (exp is not - and that alone is probably reason to spend)

    There even a 'legacy' at 11.2 mode where most of your old exp parameter file will still work with him - just change exp expdp and impdp print.

    The main obstacle to the transition to datapump seems to be all "what do you mean I have to create a directory so that it works", well who and where is my dumpfile why can't it be on my local machine. These are minor things to go well beyond.

    I suggest do you some sort of demo with real data of one of your large databases - do a full exp and a full expdp with parallel and show them the runtimes for them to compare...

    See you soon,.
