Put a softbank sim in a U.S. purchased unlocked iphone

Hi all

I have an iPhone 5 which is to his last breath. I'm going back to the States for a week and you want to buy a new 6 or SE and pop then my current Softbank SIM in the handset, brand new, unlocked.

Someone at - it experience with this, warnings, advice?

On a Whiteplan with Softbank, which includes unlimited data. They abandoned it in 2014, and if I buy the handset for them they're going to get this plan.

the contract is related to the sim card not to the physical phone

  • If I purchase online iPhone 6s and choose SIM free, it unlocked? I mean I can use it in an another contry Pentecost another company?

If I purchase online iPhone 6s and choose SIM free, it unlocked? I mean I can use it in an another contry Pentecost another company?

    It comes directly from Apple:

The SIM-free iPhone comes without a wireless contract commitment or a carrier funding. It does not come with a nano-SIM for iPhone 6s or 6s iPhone more. And because it is unlocked, it is not bound to support, so you can get a nano-SIM of any supported media around the world, such as AT & T, T-Mobile, Verizon or Sprint to the United States.

Buy a SIM free iPhone means that you are not eligible for the lower prices iPhone associated with a contract or plan of payment of the carrier.

If you do not want a contract for several years of service, or if you prefer to use a local carrier when you travel abroad, the iPhone SIM-free is the best choice.

  • I have an iPad without any place to put a Sim Card. But I just updated my iPhone IOS 9.3 5 and before the full update there don't say "SIM necessary." Like I said my iPad has no where to put a SIM card on it what should I do?

I have an iPad that has no place to put a SIM card on it.but I just updated my iPhone 5 in IOS 9.3, but before the end of the update there is a stage says "SIM card required" so I put a SIM card to this topic, but how do I update my iPad to IOS 9.3? Please help I'm really scared of what will happen!

Only your iPhone needs a SIM card to do the upgrade, you will not be asked this question when you update your iPad unless it's an iPad GSM. I wouldn't do the update again as IOS 9.3 has serious bug (s) to fix first.

  • Put the current sim in unlocked iPhone

    Hello

I currently have an iPhone 5 c locked to the O2 on a 24 month contract. I recently bought an iPhone 6 directly from Apple, that is to say unlocked and have ordered a contract monthly only sim which will arrive later this week. My question is, I am able to put my current O2 into the new phone sim until arrives the new sim card, or it will mess up the new phone somehow (that is to say block him on O2 or something like that)?

    Thanks for your help!

You can safe the old SIM in the new phone. The lock status is based on the IMEI of the phone, not the SIM card.

You should, as long as the sim card has a package of data enabled, given that single feature iPads can't use any normal calls or sms

  • Unlocked IPhone, SIM card is not valid problem

    Hello

I went to study in the United States for a few months and I bought the iPhone 6s 'apple Store' to the United States.

After that I came back to Thailand, I can't use my card SIM Thai (AIS network). It appeared that the sim card is not valid.

I had to call apple care to solve the problem for me and after gave them my IMEI, they told me to contact verizon wireless to unlock my phone.

So far, I confused altogether since I bought the Apple Store iphone, not Verizon.

However, I contacted verizon wireless and even once, after gave them my IMEI, they said that since

the unit was purchased third-party (which is apple Store) so that the device has not been locked by their network.

I tried to restore my device so many times and also with the mode of recovery, but it still can not use.

I checked with APPLE and they said that my device is unlocked model.

Note that first sim that I plug when I got this device is ATT SIM card.

I was contacted to ATT and they also said that my device has not been locked

    through their network.

Please give me suggestions on how to solve this problem

It seems that if you have the iPhone version, intended for use on the Verizon network. If so, it is not locked. However, this does not mean that it will work on the network in your country.  Phones, designed to run on the Verizon network use strips of LTE 13, 4 and 2. It seems that the AIS uses 3 and 1.

  • Factory unlocked iphone 6s gives error sim not supported

    Hey guys

I recently bought a new iphone unlocked factory 6 sec New York, and he has not used in the States. Now I'm back in my country Pakistan, and it does not recognize the sim card I inserted even if it supports an iphone officially. It gives the same error as below as in the phone itself. Care of apple, I called and they said to restore and update hard resetting, which, after hitting a few tests, does not always work.

would be really grateful for the help

    Thank you

If restore you like new - then you should see this image-

If you do not see this image - the phone is not unlocked - contact Apple Care and ask them to check what operator it is locked for
