put the address bar in the task bar

Wallpaper I have start button, on the left, the time, and a few small icons (computer, volume, msn messenger etc.) on the right.  I think it was called the taskbar?  What I try to do is put just the addy bar internet here so I don't have to open internet explorer or something like that to type in one speech.  It was easy when I've done it before, but still can not remember how I did it. ahhaah.  Anyway thanks for the help.

Most likely you updated to SP3, read on.

To return to the address toolbar, simply replace browseui.dll in your windows/system32 folder with a pre - SP3 version. The easiest way is to use Start-> Run-> msconfig-> file develop and obtain a copy of the file from your windows CD

If it works for you. If this isn't the case, you will need to go download a third party software to do.

Or download this:

My kids were playing with my computer and must have pushed something and everything disappeared. I need to know how to put an address bar ("back" button, refresh, ect) upwards at the top of my window. Part of the problem is that my computer screen is cracked and I see nothing in my menu easily. Would contribute to a command that would restore the address bar. Thank you.

  • Why you can not move the address bar to FF 29.1 and put in place if you wish?

I hate this version of FF sucks, my set up disappeared (it took forever to put upward the way I liked it and it's just been eliminated in a single update what horror) and I tried to put it was, but it seems that you can not. I love FF in black including my menu bookmark I have poor eyesight and it is much easier to read, FF is black OK, but I can't get the bookmark, menu has changed the way that it used to be. Also can you change the LEGS down. You also don't seem to be able to move the address bar it's stuck on the right side of the page to the most ridiculous place, it might be. I appreciate if anyone has any ideas that could help me I'd love to hear from you, Bravo and thank you for taking the time to read my problems. I hope 30 FF will improve or it will be IE and not more FF.

    1. Classic restaurateur theme installation and restart Firefox when prompted.
    2. Open the modules (Ctrl + Shift + A Manager; Mac: Command + shift + A), then the Extensions category.
    3. Beside the classical restaurant theme, click on the Options button.
    4. On the Home tab, in the left upper corner, set ' tabs not on it "and make sure that"Tabs in the title bar"is not checked. You can also check 'Mobile back-forward button', ' Hide urlbars stop & reload buttons "and"combine stop & reload buttons. Close the options window when finished.
    5. Right-click on a zone empty of the tab bar and select Customize.
    6. Drag the buttons on the address bar and the search bar where you want. Click the Customize the output at the bottom right button when finished.

  • How do I put FF so hit enter in the address bar refreshes a page if it is already loaded?

Currently FF do not reload a Web page if you re - enter in the address bar.

For example, go to your address bar right now. Don't change anything and press ENTER. Note that nothing happens? Even if there was new data on the page, it would not show upward. You must hit refresh on the page refresh in fact.
EDIT: Good so it was a bad example... because it refreshes rofl. I can't say the same thing to happen for most of the other good sites.

I want to change it so refresh applies to hit entry in the address bar, on all sites!

    Suggestions? Thank you!

I noticed that if I restart my browser it will be sometimes to fix it and put it back to fall down with 12 displayed.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem, so it goes back to the display always all 12 elements, as it is a pain to always necessary, made scroll to see when my screen fits all 12 without problem!

  • Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

  • Can not enter in the address bar.

Since I usually use bookmarks or pinned tabs, it's perhaps a week or more as the last, I tried to do, but when I tried today the area of the address bar is there, but completely empty and the edge of the box seems to be missing to the left and down. The mouse arrow does not a cursor change when hovered over the box and I can't enter type.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

I was sent a new modem/wireless router by Time Warner in their package of socalled EASYCONNECT connection. They instruct me to search for my current network settings by putting a numeric IP address in the browser's address bar. This IP address could not be contacted, but this isn't the problem:

Now, whenever I run FIrefox, a tab opens and the browser tries, each time without success, to contact this IP address. I want to STOP this, simply return to what the regular homepage from Firefox / Google invites with NO PRELOADED in the address bar.

Can someone please tell me what to do? I tried a "reset" of the home page. I can't find this call my story, even if it is perhaps here.

Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).

  • How do I change default search engine in the address bar?

You can change the search provider from the search bar that is automatically in Firefox by clicking on the arrow pointing down and put in service of your choice.

If you want a custom search engine, you can access this Web site, click the arrow and click on "Add < custom engine >. Example below:
