I cannot go beyond this message and can only receive calls and cannot make another anyything. I contacted my ISP, as it's the messge was told to do, they don't know wht the problem. Can someone guide me on how to solve this problem. I have a Q10, thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please see this "sticky" post, and the son to which it connects, for more useful information to guide you as you go:

I hope that this information will be useful to you.

Now, armed with information, be aware that no one here can actually do the research to answer your question. For some reason, your device PIN is blocked and cannot be used on any carrier for specific services BB. It can be reported as lost or stolen. This report might be valid or it could be in error. In any case, to resolve the problem, you must follow the procedure of such formal support discussed via the link I gave you above.

If I had to guess, I would say that you must contact the seller for you to the device and to convince them to help you... After all, you bought them, so your unit purchase agreement is with them, which means your formal level of the device support is determined by this purchase agreement... whatever he says, is what you need to do to get a formal on this topic support.

Nothing else that a formal support for this will be useful I think.

See you soon and good luck!

  • BBM blackBerry Q10 pine got changed

    Hello, everyone!

    My problem with the BBM Pin code is as follows - a few years ago I had the BlackBerry 9900, and I got a pine BBM assigned to this device. Later, this device was physically destroyed and I started to use BBM on Samsung Galaxy (the same PIN BBM).

    Recently, I purchased BlackBerry Q10 and started using BBM with the same PIN (from BlackBerry 9900). It wasn't a problem, until that I've updated BBM a few days ago and then I noticed that my BBM pin has changed.

    Does anyone know why it happened and what to do with this issue? I mean, finally, I will create a list of contacts with my new BBM PIN code, but there is no guarantee that this change suddenly won't happen again.

    Thank you very much for your advice.

    Dmitri

    Hi Dimitri

    Good question, but so many numbers makes me headache lol just kidding. Unfortunately, this is not how it works. Different way with numbers of mail or telephone in our map. Blackberry PIN is connected with a single device and cannot be moved to another device. Your previous BBM with 123456 contacts are safe and always with you in your new PIN BBM 654321. To your new customers/friends you must inform your PIN or invite them.

    Technology can create something new. You can always tell them your new pin code otherwise you must continue to use your old device.

    Kind regards.

  • Switching Q10 - Q10 replacement blackBerry devices

    I have a defective Q10 (keyboard problem) and will receive a replacement tomorrow, but I'll have to give the old Q10 to mail.  The Blackberry Link software, it seems that you have to have new devices and the old loans to make the switch - I won't be abe to do this.  My question is: will I be able to 'restore' backup of my old Q10 for the new device, if I don't have the combined physical?  I guess there may be some problems...

    You will need to connect to the current Q10 with your BlackBerry ID replacement and you will then be asked if you want to switch to this new phone. Answer Yes and you should be able to load a backup without problem. If you have problems, post it in this thread, and we'll see what we can do to help you.

    See you soon.

  • How can I verify a PIN of BlackBerry (DeviceID)?

    Hello world!

    Well, the thing is that I develop some private apps requested by a company and they want to restrict its use to a few users, in fact, just a few BlackBerry devices. The client wants to limit the use of this apps on the BlackBerry PIN.

    I'm trying to post something like:

    (Integer.toHexString(DeviceInfo.getDeviceId()).toUpperCase() == 2100000A)

    but it is always set to false.

    I tried without "toUpperCase()", with 2100000 has, and even without any conversion writing decimal numbers, just using DeviceInfo.getDeviceID () and decimals ID.

    I tried not to use the simulators but a BlackBerry device, but I get the same result, and that validation is always false.

    I am doing something that is not possible? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Try to post like this:

    if("2100000A".equalsIgnoreCase(Integer.toHexString(DeviceInfo.getDeviceId())))
    {
        System.out.println(Integer.toHexString(DeviceInfo.getDeviceId()));//TRUE;
    }

  • BBM BBM on a Blackberry Device OS 10 cannot INVITE BBM Anroid / IOS

    We need a NEW UPDATE for this case. BBM on a Blackberry Device OS 10 cannot INVITE BBM Anroid / IOS.

    Thank you

    Be aware of a very important some limitations and restrictions.

    First of all, this version, as you know already, is a developer version... so there are a lot of functions that is intentionally disabled. In addition, this version includes a restriction anti-secours, which means that you cannot fall back to 10.3.2 or earlier and now must wait for a version of future production 10.3.3 to reactivate all things are paralyzed.

    I hope that this device is not your daily driver... for most of those who have installed the developer version of 10.3.3 eventually regret. One thing can work better, but also many others turn to fail. I hope that your experience will not reflect what has happened to most of the others.

    Good luck!

  • I could develop Java Application for Blackberry device software version 5.0 to 6.0 JDE

    Hi, expert,

    I saw this line of the ' BlackBerry Java Development Environment - 4.7.0 - fundamentals Guide'.

    It is said:

    ===============================

    With each major version of the BlackBerry Device Software and the FMV of BlackBerry, Research In Motion includes the
    corresponding Java API and version of the BlackBerry® Java® development environment. The version of the BlackBerry device
    Software determines the version of the BlackBerry® integrated development environment that you can use to develop
    applications. For example, RIM released BlackBerry Device Software version 4.0 and BlackBerry JDE version 4.0 in even
    time. BlackBerry JDE version 4.0 supports APIs that were introduced in BlackBerry Device Software version 4.0
    and BlackBerry JVM version 4.0.

    The applications that you create by using BlackBerry JDE Version 4.0 only work on BlackBerry devices
    running BlackBerry Device Software version 4.0 or later.

    =========================

    The last sentence talking about version 4.0 of JDE. I think that would mean that I could not develop a java application on JDE 6.0 for Blackberry 5.0 version of the software, even if I do not use any new API to 6.0. However, it seems to me that it is a useless limitation. Could someone throw some lights on it?

    I'm going to agree with superdirt here.

    I have the 5.0 OS update of applications work well on OS 5.0, 6.0 and 7.0 of the OS OS phones.  I try not to recompile for levels of the OS, if I can, and so far I've been perfectly safe with OS 5.0 running on the later levels of the operating system.  So you should be able to get away with just using OS 5.0.

    Not that it is important for you, but I just thought I documents some historical information about level changes.  .

    As far as I know it 2 change cod in the file format, one to the 4.0 OS and the other in OS 4.2.  Therefore, if you want to run anything in OS 6.0 or above, it must be compiled in OS 4.2 or higher.  Again, I have applications compiled to OS 4.2 running on OS 6.0, without no problem devices.

    There have been changes to the API - the result is that the code that works in OS xx does not work in OS yy where yy is after xx.  I hit a few of them and have so far managed to rework the code so that it works very well on both levels of the operating system.  In general it is things that I do wrong anyway, as the older operating systems (from memory) are not as strict on when the event Thread must be used.

    The problem with OS 4.7 compatibility is an impact and to get more of this, for devices touch screen only, I compile using OS 4.7.  If an application that uses only the functionality that was available in the OS 4.2, I compile on OS 4.2 for non touch screen phones and OS 4.7 for touchscreen phones.  And everything works fine.

    I hope this helps.

  • Eclipse pluging 1.1 - "debug as Blackberry device".

    I installed eclipse 1.1 pluging. Looks like it works more stable and faster.

    When I chose "Debug under"-> "Blackberry Device", IDE builds, signs, and download bionary on device. Cool!

    But due to the update of the app, the appliance resets and IDE cannot debug.

    Why the plugin is unable to wait for the reset? Can it be fixed?

    I was able to replicate this and it will apply to less than 5.0 BlackBerry device software.  Here is what actually happens:

    Debug as-> device BlackBerry deploys the application on your BlackBerry Smartphone and attaches it to the debugger.  However, replacing the application can cause the device reset, which disconnects the debugger.

    The workaround is to uninstall the existing application (Options, Applications) prior to a "Debug As-> BlackBerry Device", which will prevent the reset.

    I forwarded this question to our development team for resolution in a future release of the BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse.  It was recorded in the handler incidents here: https://www.blackberry.com/jira/browse/TOOL-161
