Looks like a coincidence little precise that my picture messages stop working, and now the battery is dying. Any help? The phone is only a few months, so this seems weird.   It's strange. Have you made a difficult start (removed the battery for a few minutes) to clear the memory? Sometimes things get hung up

  I use quite a few apps on my own and always close when I leave them, to keep them from power draining. Even with photos, music, Twitter and the Internet, I have to recharge every two or three days.

  Mabes, it seems to me that your phone has developed a problem, and you can return to your provider, expecially since it's so new.

  I have improved my Torch (9800) a week ago and have been noticiing battery drain issues.  The problem is NOT persistent, but is most of the time that goes well.  I am currently on OS v6.0 bundle 3049 (v6.0.0.706, Devils 6.6.0.246).  My Wifi and Bluetooth are always TURNED off.  Only by using the Bell network, for which I have all 5 bars available.

  I investigated further and found that the Blackberry system software was running with more than the processor - usually in the 1970s high, 90 same high.  And this corresponded over the hours until the battery was dead.  I have since deleted all the apps I have suspecpected - such as the Office of Nice and LinkedIn.  But the problem persists.

  Battery pull was made several times, as I checked and there is no update of the OS.

  Now, currently, only the Basic apps are loaded (Alt-Back): home, BBM, phone, Messages, Borwser.  All other applications are closed or exit.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry PRIV battery drain & heating problem

  I bought PRIVATE released last week from classic BB. PRIV has severe heating and battery especially drainage problem while loading and between 100% and 40% of battery (drains 60%) in 1-2 hours.

  Note that I do not use heavy duty applications and it heats up even when kept or wait (especially during loading).

  My Apps are up to date

  Operating system is up to date

  I have restored several times, but still have the same question (even if no other apps are installed).

  Question: Is it a solution to this? BlackBerry is working on it or just forget it and move on to other brands?

  Finally and above all, I'm on Blackberry for the past 12 years... I really hope they take their clients seriously around the world.

  Sometimes it happened while the load when I got 5.1.1 but now with Android M 6.0 seems to be fixed.

  What I was doing when it was happening, it is to reset the phone with the power button for 10 seconds while it was still connected to the charger. Sometimes a couple of reset is necessary

• BlackBerry Z30 battery draining high after update 10.3.2.2474

  The battery drains quickly after the 10.3.2.2474 update.  The monitor of the device shows that it is the standby process that uses between 25% and 40% of the battery.  This process uses a good amount of CPU.  I tried to restart the unit a couple of times to see if that solves it, but it doesn't.

  Is there a fix or the means to return to the previous version of the OS?  I can't even make at 15:00 without having to recharge my phone.  So much for the famous BlackBerry battery life...

  It does not allow that BlackBerry charger provided with the new phone is only 850mA and the phone does not recognize as a BlackBerry charger (aka, it takes a long time to load in the middle of the day, when it is low).

  It is recommended that you NOT drain the battery in 5-10%, but top it off when you get a chance during the day.

  To avoid draining the severe battery and a freezing response development or late / slow on any BlackBerry, most important practice that you can adopt is to ensure CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.

  If you simply press the 'end call' red to go back to the home screen the application remains running in the background and the battery drain and actually open. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your battery and memory will get used. Lack of memory is the main reason for your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or crashes. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging. You may still do a battery pull or using the "Quickpull" app from time to time when things get slow.

  To check what applications run on your device in the background, press the Menu key, and then click switching Applications. You will see icons for each application it.

  So now, check your applications running in the background. There are four or five applications that will always run fluently (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are other third-party applications such as BeeJive and alerts of BlackBerry that will work also in the bottom that you can not close if you want they work). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (open the browser and select the Menu > close).   I'm new here I have BlackBerry for almost 2 years (curve 3000) and I was really happy with it (no problems) then I bought "BOLD" Saturday and has exhausted the battery - overheating problems! I downloaded the new software from T-Mobile Croatia site (they have one last but which did not help) after recharging and stay all night, he went flat within 6-7 hours so I went today (Monday) and they swapped the device for me, now I'm waiting to see what will happen. I have 4 questions:

  1 can I download new software version of the device from the BlackBerry site that even I bought in Croatia from T-Mobile and which will have consequences on the device? If yes what are they?

  2. what causes this battery drain - overheating problems and how they can be stopped?

  3. is Facebook app in conflict with "BOLD"? Yes I have it on mine.

  4 are all the other apps in conflict with it, i.e. Windows Live Messenger because I have too much that one on it?
