Qosmio F20 won't mode after installtion of mouse to remote & keyboard

I use a mouse logitech & keyboard. It uses the softyware above, when I close the lid of the laptop computer won't go in mode 'sleep' it says that the keyboard does not.

I contacted Logitech and they said that the computer system of powersaver needs disabling or setting up manually.
Any ideas please?

Hello

I presume that you have preinstalled software Logitech supplied. Am I wrong?

In any case, it seems that some Logitech process runs in the background and he will not be turned off. Try to find out what process is running in the background. Turn off manually and try to switch mode 'sleep' again.

My Qosmio F20-149 crashed yesterday and I was not able to get it working again. When I try to turn it on, the power light flashes on and outside (on: 1 sec, off: 1 sec) and the cooler fan operates at full power. When I press a key, there is a genre or a sound error. otherwise no reaction of the laptop; even the CD player does not open.

I did no RAM-implementation to date, and I use the original power supply Toshiba. I tried from the laptop using only the battery, only power and on both. No change in the reaction. I tried all possible combinations (with a free one, both... etc) of my two cards, RAM (512 + 512) and still no use.

    I am really puzzled.

If I understand you just your laptop sends a blink code. Copy the following code appears so laptop has detected a problem with the electronic power supply.
In this case, there is nothing that you can do and the laptop must be sent to the service provider allowed the closest.

They have manuals containing instructions and the exact description of the code how do I solve this problem.
Sorry, buddy, but I do not think that anyone here can offer an accurate diagnosis for that matter.

  • Re: No sound after my first format... Qosmio F20

    Hello

I have just formatted my Qosmio F20 after 2 years of use. BUT! Unfortunately, I'm so disappointed because I used the "Product recovery" CD in order to have a secure and easy format, but the results were bad! There is no sound coming out of my speakers.

I have the logo "speaker" on the bottom right of my screen and I can raise and lower the volume but I still don't hear anything.

Also, I can play videos and songs and the "players" do not give me error messages regarding my sound sessions.

If everything seems Ok, but I don't know why I still can't hear you! I'm deaf? loooool

Furthermore, I have no problem with the built-in speakers say at the time I used the "product recovery CD.

Please let me know what I need to do! : S

    Thanks for your time,
    Jeffrey

Its always best to use the recovery CD when you reinstall Windows, it will have all the drivers and patches the system must :)

Try clicking on Mute, then it activate several times. Mute may get "stuck" in "secret" mode after reinstalling Windows.
Check also that the physical volume knob is completely assembled.

Hello, my friend buy Qosmio F20 of the Germany, but it comes with Windows Xp with the German language on this subject. I format the hard drive and install Windows Xp Professional SP2. I download all of the drivers who was very available and most of the functions work (like display, sound, touchpad and others), but the multimedia keys and the FN keys do not work (remote work). The other problem is that I can't install the TV tuner.

With German Windows XP, I try TV tuner but have no SOUND what is the problem? When I try to install the utility software under display appear message that says "Unable to get the information from the BIOS" or something comparable. I have install all the drivers that I found in the Qosmio F20 support page but I have video control with exclamation mark in Device Manager.

    Can you help me?

Where am I wrong? What should I do?

First of all he must know that if you are going to install together the Toshiba drivers after installing the OS to do in the right order!
On the Toshiba driver page, you will find the Installation Instructions. You will need to follow the guide line! It is important to properly work all the functions!

In addition, you will need to select the right OS. There are two: XP and XP MCE.

To control buttons Toshiba works correctly, you will need to install the controls.
But as I said above: follow the instructions in the insulation.

A few words on the TV tuner:
As far as I know, you can only use the TV tuner in the country where the laptop was purchased because different PAN and NTSC settings.
In addition, the TV tuner driver offers TV tuning and recording capabilities using Media Center on your computer. If you have any MCE so I put t know how you want to watch TV.

  • Re: Qosmio F20-137 - after I installed Windows 7 I have no sound

I installed Windows 7 on my Qosmio F20 and all the drivers have been installed by windows update after I connected to the Internet.
I can play music and videon to files in Windows Media player, but there is no sound in speakers or if I connect the headphones.
If I look on the driver for the sound in devicemanager he says that everything is OK. Does anyone know what is the problem?

I also reinstalled Windows 7 but still the same problem.

    Kind regards
    Henrik

    Hi sta1n,

Maybe the sound is muted... Check using the FN + ESC key combination that can toggle the sound.

Also, check the page of Toshiba. Qosmio F20 taken Windows 7 isn't supported so that you can try the Vista driver.

  • Qosmio F20 blue screen of death after stop

    Hello

I get the blue screen of death after a stop on my laptop Qosmio F20.

    The error is IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

I guess that's somehow connected to the tv tuner card.

I tried to restore the system - not good. After the restoration for some time, it was OK. But then again appeared BSOD.

Sometimes, it also appears when I connect USB hard drives or even when I insert the DVD disc.
And for shure every time I stop to laptop.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

    This is my personal opinion;
    I think it's a memory problem!

Why, because it of very difficult to reproduce this error message and it looks like this BSOD happens without the use of hardware or special software

I have gogoled for this error message and I had a lot of success!
I read in various forums on this issue, and especially a fault memory has been one reason why the BSOD appeared.

But someone suggested to disabled the pagefile... Probably, you should check out these tips:

  • Qosmio F20 - no sound after installing Win XP

    Hello everyone,

    I need some help here...
I use Toshiba Qosmio F20 and have re-installed with Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.
All the drivers were all updated and all seems fine. But now there is no sound at all, even when I turn on or increase the volume.

It has nothing to do with enabling / disabling, cause there is no effect.
A few hours earlier, everything was fine. Is it because the qosmio must be installed with XP Media Center Edition?
What should I do then, cause I don't have the recovery disc more?
    Where can I find solutions.

    Thank you

    Hello

    You need SP3!
This SP3 contains all fixes and updates.

    Workaround solution:
    Remove/uninstall the audio driver.
    Install SP3
    Restart the device
    Reinstall the audio driver
Reboot the laptop and test again.

  • Main problems after upgrading from XP to Vista on Qosmio F20

I have recently upgraded from XP to Vista on my Qosmio F20 and having problems. It seems that I lost the ability to change screen resolutions, to adjust the volume, brightness, etc. Basically, I lost the laptop functions. I also tried updating the BIOS but get the following error message "BiOS update only is not supported OS - unsupported OS or service pack installed.»

This also makes very slow computer.

You now have a few questions, or you wrote just a report on your experience of Vista on Qosmio F20?

The fact is that Toshiba does not support Vista on this laptop model and thereby you will ever complete Vista of operation (including the Toshiba tools and utilities). For supported laptops, Toshiba offered special Vista supporting BIOS but for your laptop, this update of the BIOS does not exist.

    Sorry! :(

    Hello

I checked the page of the Toshiba driver and there is no drivers Toshiba for W2k on the Qosmio F20. Where did you get the drivers of control?
You need a driver for Toshiba in particular to use the commands. But there is no driver for W2k. In this case, the controls cannot function properly.

-l' utility EEPROM set the drive to slave.

  • Qosmio F20 - how to restore factory settings?

    * Hi guys *.

Im having problems restoring my Qosmio F20 - 137 back to factory settings.
Steps what I need to download to be able to do

or an easy way to get my phone in original configuration

    * Thank you *.

    * greg *.

    Hello!

The best way to restore the original configuration is the Toshiba recovery disc. You only have to boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen. The whole HARD disk will be erased and install an image of factory settings. After that, you have the same State as the first time that you have started the laptop.

    If you n t have the Toshiba recovery disc you must install Windows using a Microsoft disc, then download and install all the driver from the Toshiba page step by step. For the follow-up to Windows XP the [installation instructions | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 381 & selSeries = 170 & selProduct = 586 & STAS hortMod = 417 & language = 13 & selOS = all & selType = all & year = upload & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = allMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = a he's & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = all & page = 1 & ID = 43237 & OS ID = 10 & driverLanguage = 42].

  • Qosmio F20-155 wireless internet is too slow

I got another laptop with me that surfing on the net fast but when I use my Qosmio is quite slow?
Is this something with the settings or all portable Qosmios are the same?
    Help me please!

    Hello

AFAIK the Qosmio F20 was delivered with the 802. 11 b/g WLan standard.
Generally, the settings are set to b and g. In this case, you can use both options. But if settings are only to b, so the card only uses this standard.
    The 802. 11 b is slower then 802.11 g
Speed wise 802. 11 b provides up to 11mpbs gross rate or on 5.5 Mbps after Protocol. 802 11 b is compatible with working with the largest number of installed networks, including all the public hotspots. 802 11 b is also backward compatible with 802.11 products g, because they use all both the frequency of 2.5 ghz ISM band.
802.11 g has gross rate 54Mbps or about 20mbps throughput after real Protocol or 45mbps overload in turbo mode. If your application involves high speed bypass or copy large files, over 100 MB then 802.11 g is worth watching. Distance wise 802.11 g will only provide the maximum 54 Mbps connection nearby usually less than 100 feet. After this, the connection returns to 802. 11B speeds. Access 802.11 g compatibility points can be set in mode dual b and g taken in charge. There is a problem with this from only a 802. 11B client associates all clients on the network are expelled downwards for 802. 11B speeds. This can be solved by putting in only g mode access point.
