Qosmio G30-137 - video card problem - the bug of vertical lines

Hi members,

Today my Qosmio G30-137 started to make trouble showing vertical lines that look like this:

''''' ''''''' '''''' '''''''
'''' ''''''' '''''' '''''''

After having used the product Windows disk recovery could not start early and came up with a blue screen with the error code:

+ failure of page in the nonpaged area STOP 0 x 00000050 (0xC09C3044, 0x00000000, 0X804DA90AA, 0 X 000000002) +.

Basically, this indicates that the RAM - memory Cache L2 or preserved is dead. But I also learned that the graphics card can be smoked.

After the blue screen, you will not get the system to normal operation, no matter what you try.

I strongly advise to check if your Qosmio is under warranty and see your reseller for Exchange. Fortunately I bought mine 2006/06/06 so its still under warranty (even if only a left view days).

Additional information: another Member of this forum has had a similar problem and noted that the entire motherboard must be changed causing costs of USD 700.00 and more!

I will let you know what I found myself with.

BRgds
The Q

Unfortunately, this sounds like a serious problem of material as other members suggested, the GPU (graphics card) may be defective and therefore replacement is necessary.

The point is that the GPU is soldered on the motherboard and it of not possible to remove the graphics chip of the card. In most cases, the entire motherboard must be replaced to solve graphic problems.

In my opinion, you should contact your ASP as soon as possible.
Technicians should be able to help you to explain the situation and to issue and ask for later handling.

Good luck buddy

Which is really a bad luck :(

What about the AEP is necessary for a replacement and it s a really good news that your warranty is valid.

In this case everything should be done for free

    Hello!
I just bought Qosmio G30-137 of the Germany and he has Windows Xp MCE in German language.
The recovery disk is also in German also. I would like to know if someone can provide me with the recovery in the English language disc or can someone tell me step by step what I need to do to make a format for install Windows Xp MCE version in English and what programms I probably need because I'm a newbie...

The laptop has also two HARD drives with RAID technology.
I can't wait to hear promptly.

    Hello

Windows was delivered in German language, because you bought in Germany. You cannot change the language to English without the recovery or the original version of the Windows operating system English English CD.

You can install the original Windows operating system but before you install the new OS you need to install the RAID driver.

  • I get the message: Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Visit the Web site of the manufacturer of the video card for the latest version of the software.

Photoshop has been giving me the warning:

Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Visit the Web site of the manufacturer of the video card for the latest version of the software.

Also other programs are affected.  I suspect a recent download of Adobe.  Can anyone HELP.

No, it has nothing to do with updates of Adobe. There is a problem with your video card driver.

Go directly to the Web site of the manufacturer of the GPU for updates (not Microsoft, not a System Builder).

  • Display driver cannot complete installation on Qosmio G30-137

I just bought qosmio g30-137 of the Germany. My laptop had a German version of windows and I installed winXP PRO Greek edition. I have a problem with the graphics card driver. I downloaded from the TOSHIBA site. While I do Setup search the driver files that does not exist and I can't complete installation. I would like to know if anyone knows where I can find a driver to complete the procedure or if anyone knows what the problem is and how I resolve?
Also starting from TOSHIBA site some installation instructions that explain how to do the installation with the appropriate sequence. Also, I would like to know where I can find the chipset driver?

    Hello

Have you installed the Windows from the original CD of Microsoft?
Why you suggest that the graphics driver has a malfunction?

I guess you can not complete the original installation of the Win operating system due to the RAID driver and graphics driver. This unit has been delivered with RAID function and you need to install the RAID driver at the beginning of the installation of the OS.

In addition there is also an instruction and installation utility chipset on the Toshiba driver page.

  • Recovery does not work wth my Qosmio G30-137

Hello everyone, I have big problems with my Qosmio G30-137. I tried to put the system in the State of origin using the recovery disk. After booting from the floppy, the procedure starts as usual and gets to the language screen. Then the trouble begins. After selecting the language the error next watch-up and the process breaks. The worst is that the computer starts not more that a recovery is critical.

    Error message:

    IOCTRL_DISK_GET_LENGTH_INFO.------ ------PHYSICAL DRIVE 0
    The device is not ready

It seems that the software can not see the drive. However, in the BIOS, both drives are visible and shown OK. I put the raid parameters to different options and I also tried swapping hard disks or restore with a single disc. Nothing worked! Panic mode...

    Thanks in advance!
    Frank

    Hallo Frank

Have you tried to boot from another bootable CD/DVD?
Try please use Microsoft WXP / Vista CD/DVD facilities. It will be interesting to see if the facilities procedure ends on the same point.

But in my opinion, there is a problem with the HARD drive.

  • Qosmio G30-155: video Capture does not work using s-video in port

Toshiba Qosmio G30-155 video capture does not work via the ports of the video (Windows Vista Ultimate x 86) victory of version 3.90 BIOS
Video capture does not work in Windows Media Center, even if selected as ports of entry port composite or s-video in Windows Media Center settings.

In the BIOS version 3.90 parameters via esc - F1 can only select this option: NTSC (USA), NTSC (Japan), PAL (S-video).

It is worth noting that the laptop is supposed to be capture NTSC for composite input mode

Someone turned to make this model of video capture for laptop, via composite video input with the new version of the BIOS (version 3.90 win)?

Can you please explain what you want to do exactly?

Many years ago I had this old Qosmio with TV tuner and antenna in port so I used it to transfer my old VHS format videos and burn movie DVDs.

To this end, I didn't use Windows Media Center. Why you n t use other recording applications. I think that everyone is better than Windows Media Center.

  • Qosmio G30-126 + graphic card GeForce 7600

    Hello

as I've written before this graphics card was without original driver NVidia for Vista. I was always in trouble with graph and when it came the first update in October 2007, I was happy, but there remained only the Toshiba driver (nothing original for Vista to the web pages of NVidia). Later on came another bet to level, but still not original and it show me that the driver is named now GeForce 7650GS. Last week, I download driver direct from NVidia web.

Any person of any kind - change the name of the driver?

    Hello

I put t know where you found the name of the graphics card but the Qosmio G30-126 was equipped with the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 name Code G73M graphics chip.

The graphics driver Vista and XP is available on the Toshiba page.

It s own modified Toshiba graphic driver and you should always use the graphics drivers from the Toshiba page to prevent the equipment from damage

The very low vertical lines are coming up on the screen in 4 or 5 places on my KDL-65HX925. Sony India assistance team is subscript, but to change the Panel also did not help.

Now the expensive game is with the service center for over a week and they refuse to return the whole and execution of R & D with no idea. In India, it is better not to go for the set bonus from Sony because they are not able to provide support.

But people do you have any idea what is the cause?

I'm sorry to hear what is happening with your TV. Only a technician can diagnose what's wrong with your TV. Unfortunately, we are unable to help customers outside the United States. I suggest that get you in touch with Sony India help on this issue.

  • Problem upgrading the h8-1409 HP Envy video card problem

    Hello.

I just bought this machine and it has a good processor and ram good, but it comes with a card missing video (HD7570).  I want to upgrade the video card at one of the best maps I have of my old machines (Gigabyte GTX 660 ti and an Evga GTS 250).  When I install one of these cards but, I get no video output.  I can hear the initialization of the system and the hard drive works, so everything seems fine here.

This machine comes with a 460W power supply, which should be enough to run one of these cards, but no go.  In order to exclude food, I tried on a secondary market, OCZ 600W PSU, but got the same result.  Two cards work in my old machine, so I know that the cards are good.

The specifications of the main Board are here:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c03132942

As far as I know, it should work.  Is there something I'm missing?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Only use one video card in your PC and make sure that it is installed in the PCI-E x 16 slot.

Boot in the bios (ESC and F10) and go to security topics. Try each of the topics and search a secure Boot Configuration.  If it exists, then see if Secure Boot is disabled.  A poster said that secure boot disabling enabled the installed video card. I have not tried this on a HP active UEFI motherboard but I know that it isn't a problem with another mother UEFI card that I use.  Your mileage may vary.

  • video card and the black screen problems.

Hello world! My desk top compaq presario sr1411nx don't seem to support a video card, I've recently tried

to install. I put the card in one of the three open slots connected to the motherboard, and it seems to fit very well.

The operating system I have is a Microsoft Windows XP Edition family version 2002 service pack 3, Celeron (R) CPU 2.80 ghz, 248 MB of ram.

The graphics card is an ATI Radeon X1300PCI 256 MB. After I installed the card the following continues to happen.

I turn the hard drive and follow on. The windows start menu back to the top.

A message box appears telling me to close all programs. Restart the computer if the installation of the video card

    can be updated and completed.

I then, restart the computer. After that I'm doing it just a black screen and white pointer popup. As I move the mouse

There is no beep sounds. Browser menu and start the internet windows does not load upward.

I then remove the video card and restart the computer and everything works fine.

Question: What could be the cause, and I can fix it?

    Thank you

    Frogman

Try to go into the cmos setup in the bios and see if there is any option to disable the onboard video as memory goes against zero or as allowing the pci. If not try to change the graphics card to the other pci slot
