Quad dc5850 monitors: onboard video + video card

I have a HP AMD minitour dc5850 and want to connect 4 monitors.

I read here on the site of hp you can use the two onboard video (Dual DVI) and use an additional adapter (Dual DVI) to support a total of 4 (2 from dual onboard DVI) monitors and 2 double the graphics card DVI by activating the SurroundView in F10 setup.

HP lists these ATI cards:

  • Map chart PCIe ATI Radeon X 1300 Pro (256 MB DH) - AH050AA (total four screens with edge)

  • ATI Radeon HD 2400XT (256 MB DH) PCIe-KD060AA graphics card (total four screens with edge)

  • Graphics ATI Radeon HD 3650 (512 MB DH) PCIe x 16-KS505AA (total four screens with edge)

Am I limited to these cards, or can I use a newer 'ATI' dual DVI PCI-e x 16 card work with the video embedded?

Hello

Be careful with the latest AMD graphics cards as they do not work on your PC.  Find out what the return policy is before you buy.

I usually like to suggest older NVIDIA cards with a few exceptions, as they should have been disclosed to provide better compatibility with older PCs.  However, the old NVIDIA cards support two monitors. Some of the old AMD cards have compatibility issues in some of the HP PC.

  • XPS 8900 two monitors, one video card

If you look at the back of the XPS 8900, there are 2 connections monitor (DP and HDMI) on the motherboard.  It would be the 530 Intel GPU that comes with it.  Then my system also came with a 730 GT PCIe card.  Currently, I have two monitors working using the RFP on the motherboard and on the GT 730 DVI port.

I wonder if this supported dual monitors, but only on internal Intel 530 map with two connections hanging there?

I got an HDMI cable to DP I've tried, but windows has never found the 2nd monitor.  So, I don't know if 2 monitors on the Intel 530 card are not supported (I'm sure that Intel is in favour, but not sure that Dell has allowed this) or my cable is interrupted.

OK, with a DP to DP cable and a HDMI to DVI cable, I can only use the Intel 530 card on board.  So it turns out that I had the wrong front cable (HDMI / DP is not a valid path).

  • T61p - video card (fx 570 m)-replacement

    Hello

I have the t61p (6459-CTO) model with quad fx 570 nvidia video card, I bought in the United States. The video card no longer works, I'm looking for the replacement.

To be more specific (the computer parts list info): 42 X 5976 SBB NVID FX570M QUA - 256 MB

1 should I replace with the exact same video card? (this card is pretty old and I'm not sure that it would be easy to find a) Can I replace it with the model more modern?

    2. How can I find the fru for my model number? (42 x 5976) - there is no list of RUF on the Lenovo site for my model.

    3. How can I get this video on the net card (by his fru number or it has an other identification)?

    Thanks in advance

There is no card. The video is a chip on the motherboard. If you replace the motherboard, I suggest you only watch for a rendering after August 2008, because the more late are much less likely to have the same problem

When you install the video card, the embedded video is disabled.  You can use one or the other.  However, if you buy a video card with two ports, you can use two monitors.  You must make sure that the video card will work correctly 300W of power.  A card that requires 350W should run OK, because manufacturers tend to overstate the power requirements of their cards.

  • External the multi-monitor video card

Tray desktop Compaq SG3-120. Video graphics are integrated on the motherboard but said specification are not available if a graphics card is installed. It also apply to an external several video monitor connected via USB card?

Sorry, but you have provided the name of the template, "SG3-120", is incomplete.

When you request support, please provide the number full name or product model of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq made thousands of computer models. Without this information, it can be difficult, even impossible to help you solve your problem.

The above requested information on the side, back, or bottom of your computer. , Please do not include your serial number. Please enter the product/model information in the HP Online Support page for consumers , and/or post it here for our review.

"Video graphics are integrated on the motherboard, but specification says not available if a graphics card is installed." This means that if you install a descrete graphics card into the PCIe x 16 slot (provided that the motherboard has a) motherboard, onboard integrated graphics card will be disabled. Since a video-to-USB adapter, it's just that... a video adapter and not a graphic, video card can still be output via the built-in as well as the USB adapter ports.

  • Tinton blue monitor / video card replacement

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion a1710n Desktop PC running Windows Vista. Recently, my screen has a blue tint to it. I tried different cables and monitor and no change. Some colors are not what they should like red are black, green or brown. I read that the video may be just bad or even worse, the motherboard. My question is, can I replace the video card and install it on one of the slots? And if I could, what advice or recommendations on the replacement of the video card? Which model would work with my tour?

    Thank you, moisesrntr

Thank you for the additional information.

Here is a card that should work for you.  It is very difficult to find a card that requires less 400W.  The one in the link requires 300W or more.  If you don't buy it, you can use it as an example of what you need.

  • How to connect the cables to an AMD Radeon HD 7450 video card for two monitors individual work?

I have a HP Pavilion p6-2360eo with the video card Radeon 7450 connected to a monitor of 23xi Pavilion.

Now, I want to add a monitor of 23xi more, but I do not understand how to connect the cables to the video card to get two logical screen (different views on each monitor)

Supposedly this monitor can connect to the video card, you have the HDMI connection.  Assuming that the first monitor is connected via DVI, then try a HDMI cable to the second.  I got this from the description of the video card on THIS page.

Support up to two displays at the same time in these configurations: DVI, HDMI and VGA + HDMI (using the included adapter cable)

  • Three monitors with a single video card?

    Hey guys,.

I have a user with a T430 possessing a video card Intel HD connected to a Mini Series 3 with 2 DVI connectors.

She claims that it connected to his laptop to another docking with the same configuretion and she was able to work with 2 monitors connected to the docking station and its display LCD on the laptop, I tried the same thing with its current docking station and it will not recognize 2, the LCD on the laptop and 1 on the monitor connected to the docking station.

I've never seen this work with just a video card, I saw him when he has a second video card in there, but once again, she claims, he worked on an another docking station (exactly the same thing from a work colleague) it is plugged.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

The T430 is able to support three LCD, if you use the 3 series with more mini docking station with 2 monitors connected via DVI or Displayport. The third monitor can be internal or external connected via the mini laptop own DP.

  • Adding a video card second second opinion of monitor

I have a HP Pavilion HPE h8 model - 1360t.  It has a Radeon HD 7550 video card.  I would like to add a second monitor and I need a second video card.  It must be a PCI Express x 16.  Can I use an old Series 6000 Radeon card or need a newer series 7000.  I was chatting with a tech support and asked him and he gave me 4 cards of the hd series 7000 I could use.  But I can not find but one of them and I would go less if possible.

    Jim

If they are monitors Dell 1901fp, they support the VGA and DVI - D. Please check that there is VGA and DVI - D time ports. Your card will work without needing to be replaced. Connect as follows:

    Computer > DVI - D cable > monitor #1

    Technology > cable HDMI-DVI > Monitor #2

  • Can I install a 2nd video card on my HP Pavilion a6683w desktop PC to allow me to use 2 monitors?

I want to extend my desktop using 2 monitors.  My HP Pavilion a6683w Destop PC has only a port monitor.  I'm wanting to run 2 monitors on it and I was wondering if it is possible to install a 2nd video card (the existing one is a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430).

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion a6683w. According to specifications, your computer uses an nVidia GeForce 6150SE integrated graphics card and also supports PCI Express x 16 graphics cards. Integrated graphics card is not available if a graphics card is installed. In addition, specifications, your computer has a 250 watt power supply. Most of the retail graphics cards will require a minimum of a 300 Watt power supply.

    From the information above, I think you have two options;

    (1) according to your needs, more an adapter USB-to-video, such as EVGA UV + UV39. This adapter is available on Newegg.com, Amazon.com, and as well as many EVGA.com to other places. It is possible that another brand/model will work as well. This solution is good for day trading, spreadsheets, word documents, web browsing, etc.

    (2) If you do heavy gaming or graphic treatment, I suggest an upgrade of power supply and graphics card. For more information on this topic, see Guide of Dave_G for a discrete video card selection .

    Hello

I tried to install several graphics cards / video in our Z230, but the result is always the same: error beeps and a power button flashes red. The new favorite card is an Asus Geforce GT640.

    System: HP Workstation Z230 - MT - 1 x Xeon E3 - 122, 3.2 GHz - RAM 8 GB - HARD 1 to - DVD SuperMulti drive

-How to replace the map on board with another card (or better the Asus Geforce GT640) in the PCI slot?

-should I disable the onboard in BIOS (if so, how? can't find no associated option)

We define the screen resolution 720 * 576 second. The default secondary port is the display port, this port does not have such a resolution.

-720 * 576 resolution is possible on one of the embedded video ports?

    Thank you!

    Hello:

Your PC come is factory installed with Windows 8 or 8.1?

If so, you must change both settings in the BIOS.

You have to enable the legacy mode and disable the secure startup before you install your video card no HP.

  • How will I know if a current video card supports new HP 2511 x LED monitor?

I have HP Pavilion a750y (PJ621AV) CTO Desktop PC, Pentium (r) 4 CPU 3.20 Ghz,.99 GB of RAM, Microsoft Windows XP, Service Pack 3. Always have the same square screen, it came with December 2004: HPvf15 flat screen monitor with "Intel (r) 82915 G/910GL express chipset family. '  I took "VGA".   I replaced the power supply twice and think I have more than enough power, space in the box connections and power, but I'm not sure about my ability to go tinkering with the layout new video accelerator card, or whatever the right terminology is.  I have looked at the information under "device" system but do not know enough to make sense what I read to go to the store and buy a new monitor with confidence.  I would get a new larger screen (the HP2511x LED seems to have good reviews and has a VGA plug), but I don't want to get it and then find out that Word documents are too blurry to read with Accelerator/current video card, regardless of the term is.  About 70% of the time, we use the computer for the production of documents and 30% for Internet display for the occasion of the shows or movies.

    Hello

The following may not be what you want to hear, but that's my honest and frank opinion.

With a 2004 PC that is generations behind current models, you really should hreconsider invest in a card video, power supply, and LCD screen. The video card, power supplies and LCD are likely to cost much more than the current value of your PC.

Upgrade to a monitor 25 inches capable of 1080 p (HD) for your PC can collect not you the best return on investment. You may find yourself better to consider upgrading to a newer PC.

  • HP 6300 using video cards and a four card to support 6 monitors.

I'm trying to configure a HP 6300 Micro tower to take charge of 6 screens. I installed a NVIDIA NVS510 card and installed, but not the integrated video card is disabled, how do I turn the two cards to work at the same time?

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for the Pro 6300.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c03612810/c03612810.PDF

Please take a look at Chapter 3, page 23.

There is a setting to toggle the embedded video bios.

Embedded video (enabled/disabled). This option allows to disable the integrated video controller

When another video controller is present in the system. Default value is enabled.

My hypothesis is that when you add a video PCIe x 16 card, the embedded video is automatically disabled in the BIOS.

See if you can change the video setting O/B back on to see if this will allow two video devices to work at the same time.

If the setting is gray or it activates the onboard video, but disables the PCIe x 16 card, then I guess it's impossible.
