Query plugin PPAPI...

I noticed that this plugin PPAPI is not installed. Around in the autumn of last year, I heard one that adobe Flash Player is a question of threat/malware on Google Chrome, so I uninstalled. I use both Safari and Google Chrome for browsing. Should I press the install button to put the flash drive on to continue using Chrome and make it safe to use? I'm worried until my computer was open to malicious malware since last year

When the update of Flash, THAT repeat ONLY get an update directly from the Adobe website. Never use a third party site to update Flash because Flash can give malware attached to it.

  • Any ideas how we can get error flash invites you in the plugin PPAPI for Chrome on Mac?

    Hello

I have trouble using the flash player for debugging purposes. Normally, when we used the flash debug NPAPI drive - which is currently not supported by default in Chrome 42 - we used to get errors/stack trace overlays which would jump to the top in the browser.

This allowed our QA and less technical team members to instantly see the errors that occurred during the game through, that they could in turn directly to us. However, it seems that the new debugging PPAPI reader support more alerts windows usage (I saw it in another post on this forum)?

So, I have a few questions. First of all how can I be sure that the Flash Player, I installed is a debugging? According to chrome://plugins, its only built into one that's active, even though I have d/l and installed the good "browser chromuim" debug flash player for Mac several times.

Second, if it's the debug player, how can I replicate the alert windows or at least get a trace of the recorder of people machines? We use Vizzy at the moment, but which can be pretty flaky, especially after an update of the public Service, is still our only option?

Thanks for your help in advance!

    Paul.

Yes, I need to write an article on the entire array debugger in 2015.  It really fragmented.  I miss the old days, when we had some tech writers.

Under Windows, the Chrome team added code to recognize the PPAPI debugger.  Mac has a much smaller audience (it basically comes to 7% of navigation), so they are he prioritize differently, and there is actually still not support in Chrome or chrome for Mac.

You might be able to do something hacky as replacement manually the payload, or looking at the options of command line chrome to force it to load the debugger from an arbitrary location plugin, but those are inelegant, and if they work, we test them as they are supported.  The PPAPI interface is also more restrictive, so that the debugger is less reliable and place the debugger-specific configuration files is really weird because Flash sees a virtualized file system that is in a different location when running in Chrome.

You * can * run the debugger PPAPI in the opera on Mac, because it supports the plugins PPAPI and uses the locations of the central system.

Alternatively, you can always force NPAPI on chrome through some flags of Directors.

NPAPI and PPAPI are types of plug-ins browser supported by Flash Player for different browsers.

NPAPI - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Google Native Client - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Until recently, the version PPAPI of Flash Player was just an integrated part of the Chrome browser; However, we are available a version of Flash Player debugger for PPAPI, that you can download from:

Download Adobe Flash Player 14 beta for desktop - Adobe Labs

As it is possible to have both NPAPI and PPAPI plug-ins installed on your system, we have made a small change to the user interface so that you can see the status of these two plug-ins possible.

Yes, this is a limitation of Chrome on Mac.  Google put up the code to discover the PPAPI debugger in the location of the windows system, but this work was not performed for Chrome on Mac.  You * can * use the debugger PPAPI on Opera and chrome on Mac.

    Hi Bob,

Google Chrome comes with flash PPAPI player. So you don't need to install it separately.

If you want to know the exact location of the reader flash PPAPI such as pepflashplayer.dll or PepperFlashPlayer.plugin, you can enter 'chrome://flash' in the address bar of Chrome to view details.

  • YouTube widget problem "blocked plugin" revisited? (NEW!)

Okay, it's the old problem "blocked plugin" once again when I go to import a video from YouTube in Muse... wait, it's a little different...

I'm definitely sticking in the right code of YouTube. Here's the full URL:

Experience of CWD Intro - YouTube

.. .and I use the correct identifier in the field of video plug-in Muse (jx82mM9KoaY) - less media. The YouTube video is not registered, but not private.

I have also read the response from an another forum post detailing the uninstall and re - install the Flash plug-in (although I don't understand why that has nothing to do with HTML5 video via YouTube, but whatever)-I went with the comment in the post on the forum and visited the plugin help page Adobe to uninstall Flash plug here:

Uninstall Flash Player for Mac OS

HOWEVER... the program uninstall on the link to the OS X version 10.6 and is a link broken on the Adobe support page (actually, so is version 10.4 too). You get this message:

    Not found

The requested URL /get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg was not found on this server.

To download the uninstall program doesn't seem to be an option at this point. I tried to run the updater of alternative direct download Adobe and via the preferences of OS x for Flash panel. That's what I see:

    Screen Shot 2016-06-09 at 12.14.50 AM.png

Now, notice that the plugin PPAPI is the latest version, but isn't the NPAPI plugin.  Hit the button check the NPAPI now demand a new version to download. Then it downloads the plug-in, but using the latest installer it downloads never updates the NPAPI plugin to a superior version in the preferences window.

    Anyone?

Try to access the uninstalling the Flash Plugin via this link - Uninstall Flash Player for Mac OS

and reinstall it when it prompts you.

Try this and let me know if it works for you.

  • What does the message "settings on this page are not applicable to the Chrome or chrome based browsers (PPAPI)." mean, and that's the reason why I can't play games on Adobe Flash Player?

I'm playing the crazy Kingdom of God on Adobe Flash Player but the "settings on this page are not applicable to the Chrome or chrome based browsers (PPAPI)." message when I go to global settings to try to resolve the problem. This has something to do with my problem for the Kingdom of the mad God does not?

    Hi Jess.C.N,

Chrome uses the PPAPI plugin and the settings are managed using the online settings manager, not the local settings manager.  Click the 'Learn more about Configuration of Flash Player with Chromium-based browsers' to learn how to manage these settings for the plugin PPAPI browsers.  You can also go to Adobe - Flash Player: settings - Global Privacy Settings Panel Manager to manage the settings of PPAPI according to the browsers.

  • blocked sign plugin Safari after having tried several times to download the new version of flash

Downloaded the new flash, and now it does not work on safari. Never had a problem with it before. I tried to install the unistaller but can't find it in the downloads (I made sure the downloads went to the download folder). I tried all the other links for download of flash - they did not. It does not work on google crome. I prefer safari, so I want to it works on this browser. I get the blocked sign (plug-in).

NPAPI plugin version 15.0.0.152 is installed

    Plugin PPAPI is not installed

If you want to update the operating system, you start to download via the AppStore.  That said, someone tried this yesterday and it has not solved the problem for them.

We tested the upgrade script and blocking on a Mac OS 10.6.8 machine and are unable to reproduce the symptoms, but we believe that they exist.  We don't know what the common denominator is yet, however.

I wonder if a complete uninstall and reinstall of Flash Player can solve it:

Uninstall Flash Player | Mac OS

Then, run the Setup program again.

  • OSX: Flash Player installer appears easily 10 x per day

    Dear Adobe team,

On my Macbook Pro with OSX 10.11.6 the app to install flash player launches easily 10 times a day, without asking me for it.

What is happening is that I do my job and at random, get a pop-up saying that Flash player is up-to-date on my system.

    10 times. a. day.

Unfocuses some app I work too much so I often in bulk text because of its input.

I don't know what make the top to open it, I have the following programs open all day: Firefox 48.0.1, Apple Mail, Mailplane 3, Slack, Apple Notes.

I can't spend a day with these applications closed for troubleshooting, it's my work machine.

Do you have any suggestions what to do? How do I update the Flash Player installer or why is this application even on my system?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Screen Shot 2016-09-07 at 14.44.44.png

    Thanks for the info.

The reason that the pop - up that happens is that the plugin PPAPI (used by Opera and browser based on Chromium, except Chrome) is an older version of Flash Player.  Update checker runs and tries to check for an update, but the check fails because of an error "unable to connect to the server.  Because he cannot connect to the server, it then returns the message you see.  We have not seen the error returned in your log file and need to continue the investigation.

    Use a proxy server?

Your system has restrictions on what processes can access the internet?

If you use the PPAPI plugin, launch the Chrome browser that uses it and go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download and install the latest version of the PPAPI plugin.

If you have / use a browser based on Chromium, I recommend you to uninstall.  Unfortunately, the Mac uninstaller program currently does not support remove them that type a (for example, PPAPI only or NPAPI only) Player.  It allows you to uninstall all Flash Player plugins present on the system and you will then need to re - install the NPAPI (used by Firefox) plugin.  To uninstall using the standalone uninstall program or the Adobe Flash Player installed by located in/Applications/Utilities.  After that the player is uninstalled, start Firefox and go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download and install the NPAPI plugin.

  • Facebook games requiring another version of Flash Player

I have a desktop PC, using Windows 10 and using Google Chrome as my browser. The latest version of Adobe Flash Player is installed on my PC. There are games on Facebook that the Adobe Flash Player Version 11.3.0 rewuire. How to install it and it will interfere with the version I already have?

    Hello

It is not possible to install and use, Flash Player 11.3 in your current configuration of the system like Google Chrome integrates Flash Player.  Although it is possible to install another version of Flash Player and have Chrome uses this version, via the launch of Chrome using command line arguments, Chrome only supports the PPAPI plugins now and 11.3 was not available as a plugin PPAPI released.  In addition, 11.3 was released in October 2012 and has not been updated to resolve security vulnerabilities fixed since its release, which, if installed would leave your system open to known security vulnerabilities that have been fixed since the release of 11.3.

  • How can I remove the 32-bit version that my wife has installed on my portable 64-bit?

Hello everyone who is reading this post and all, first thanks a lot for the effort!

Thus, the question says it all

It's weird to me that the icon is visible in the section of the Configuration screen

But it is not found in the section installed programs...

How to remove the 32-bit version?

If I open the Flash icon I get a Flash Player Settings Manager local.

The updates tab is nothing to be published which is weird for me also.

I get a warning before an update is installed, that's fine.

NPAPI plugin = not installed and cannot be verified

Plugin PPAPI = not installed and cannot be verified

    ???

    PC Specs below

The screenshot of the Config screen below

    FLASH.JPG

    Hi TheDude78,

Flash Player installs the 32-bit and 64-bit versions on 64-bit operating systems.  This is because some browsers (Firefox and others) and apps that are still 32 bits version only and so only a 64-bit version, then you wouldn't be able to use the Flash in browsers/apps.

The item you are referencing is a universal Settings Manager component that contains different options of parameters (parameters of Local storage, camera/microphone, reading, updates and other options) that will have an impact on the 32-bit versions and 64-bit of the player.

From Windows 8 (and including 10 Windows) Microsoft integrates Flash Player for IE (and Edge in Windows 10) and the Flash Player Settings Manager you see has been installed as part of this process.  If you do not have the NPAPI or PPAPI Flash Player plugin (s) installed the button check now for these plug-ins will be disabled (since you are a nothing to check).  Once you install one of these plug-ins now the check button will be activated.

Given that Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Windows 8 and above all they release updates to Flash Player for Edge and IE via Windows updates and they lock the associated files of Flash Player (ActiveX) to prevent users to remove them.  Open these files and delete them manually will very probably you not being only unable to re - install Flash Player for Edge and short IE to re - install the operating system to retrieve.  To my knowledge, this was the case with Windows 8.x to users who have manually deleted the embedded version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer and will probably be the case with Windows 10 users who do the same.

  • Confusion over versions Flash Player installed (8.1 Win, Opera, IE, FF, Chrome etc.)

Latest browser Opera nagging guard update me Flash player (Note: real page, install flash not fake!)

The 'about' page at http://www.Adobe.com/UK/software/Flash/about/ tells me that 18.0.0.203 is the most recent.

In Opera and Firefox it I have a newer version installed that is actually installed.

    You have installed 18,0,0,205 version

In Chrome and IE, he says:

    You have version 18,0,0,194 installed

What's weird here, it's that it's Opera and Chrome that share the same rendering engine, and IE and Firefox are doing their own thing.

And I thought that Chrome has provided its own Flash Player, and if Opera is using the version of the Flash Player system, shouldn't it be the same as IE?

Confused. And no, I have certainly not any malware or virus, and Yes, my system/browsers are all up to date.

    Hi digitaltoast2,

I can understand your frustration and confusion.

    • Google integrates the plugin PPAPI in Chrome and all updates are distributed by Google as a component or an update of Chrome update.

      • Google is to denigrate the NPAPI plugin and have it turned off by default, although you can always activate manually, at least until Google completely disagree with support NPAPI in September.  See https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6213033?hl=en for more information on activation manually the NPAPI plugin
      • Google has recently so, same as if you manually install the PPAPI plugin, it doesn't show in the list of plugins in Chrome disabled version no embedded Flash player in Chrome.
    • Firefox uses the NPAPI plugin
    • Opera can use a plugin NPAPI or PPAPI, however, it has been my experience that if you install the NPAPI plugin opera (not Flash Player) will post a notice of the latest version of Flash Player is not installed, and invite you to install Flash Player, which will install the PPAPI plugin. If you have installed NPAPI plugin, it might by why Opera is you inviting them to install (again).
    • Internet Explorer: From Windows 8, Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Internet Explorer and all updates are distributed by Microsoft via Windows updates.
      • If a Flash Player update to Internet Explorer does not appear when you run Windows updates, you can check the Microsoft security advisories and see if it is in the list.  If so, follow the link to the specific KB page where there will be a link to download the update of IE.

The latest versions for all platforms and browsers listed at the http://www.adobe.com/uk/software/flash/about/.

18.0.0.205 is the latest beta version, released earlier this week.  If that version is installed on your system, it indicates that you are in the channel of beta, as opposed to the output string. To return to the output channel, download latest beta displayed at the bottom of the page http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html uninstaller.  Then go to get.adobe.com/flashplayer with Firefox and Opera to download and install the latest version of Flash Player for these versions.

Hope this helps to clarify the confusion.

  • DOWNLOAD steam browser

I tried to download a flash player to steam recently. But the steam browser will not open the page file? I am aware that the browser is derived from google chrome but can not get the browser steam to open a download page as in microsoft internet explore and google chrome or firefox. There is a plugin for just steam?

    Hi Mustang064

We have no idea about the operation of the steam browser, if it is a derivative of google chrome, then our Plugin PPAPI should work. But for the Plugin work the browser must be configured to read Flash and content for which the reference to Flash libraries must also be defined. Please find the installers at installation problems | Flash Player | Windows

I found this on google - Flash player for Steam, I think that it works as a NPAPI browser, but you can install both Firefox and Opera (based on Chromium) and see who adapts to the steam. GoTo Page Flash Player Help to see that it worked

  • Tried to update to 13, nothing works now

I was running Flash Player 11, everything ran fine, connected to HBO Go and told me that I had to update to 13. So I did, and flash ran, but dragged a lot. I tried to do a clean install and return to previous versions (I tried 10 and 11) in IE, Firefox and Chrome, but nothing is done. I have a crappy old computer (Windows 7 Compaq Presario with Celeron Intel) but yesterday everything worked and now I tried to update everything is messed up. I don't know what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It's three different plugins, in two different formats (Chrome uses a plugin PPAPI and the other two are NPAPI) and the other (chromium) which cannot be updated here. In addition, IE plugin is based on ActiveX controls and filtering may adversely affect it. The other two do not have that.

If you have performance problems in all three, most likely outside browsers and as such, it comes from outside the plug-ins.

It is possible that your system will not process Flash Player 13, but it has the same requirements as 11.7 and all 12 builds.

Click Start and go to the computer, but do a RIGHT click and choose 'properties '.

Post here the news of processor and RAM.
