Question about power z820 requirements

The amount of energy consumed by the Z820 depends on the configuration and the system how busy is.  Lists of QuickSpecs HP believes some configurations and power on pages 21-24.  Certainly a double system of 12 core high range with a 225W graphics card will use a lot of power, so all hearts are run 100%.  This is why there is a power supply 1100W (sorry of course).

It will use as much as a toaster?  Maybe, if we're running SETI or folding programs 100% of the time with the use of the CPU to the maximum, including graphics GPU, but it is likely, if there is only 1 card graph.  The Z820 will usually take ~ 400W idling, but 800 + watts is possible under load.  It will heat the room.  But most applications use all the capabilities of the system all the time, unlike the toaster that attracts ~ 1100W all the time it is turned on.

There are monitors of inexpensive power, such as the P3 Kill A Watt meter charge which can show the use of the power.

Try to find out how the power outlets are distributed in your apartment.  There should be several points of sale from 15 to which are fastened together in a place that does not normally a quantity of objects running at any given time, or are not connected to the device.  Perhaps a bedroom?  In my house, the kitchen have the toaster, coffeemaker and refrigerator all plugged into them.  They go off the circuit breaker when all lights at the same time.  I moved one of these items to a struggling group that has no elements of high power connected.

    Hello world

I recently bought a R830-182 (detailed configuration below).
I had to update Windows 7 Home Premium Ultimate because I need to use it on my university network.

My University gives us an upgrade to windows 7 ultimate edition, but I had to do a clean install (from inside Windows 7 Home Edition, copy the upgrade you can do).
The key, with what they gave me would not work with the Windows anytime upgrade utility.

I think that I have installed everything that I need to get the laptop to work, but I'm not sure of the configuration of the battery. The cooling fan seems to be always on, and when the battery reaches 100% charge that he also said that he is in charge.

    My questions are:
    1. is there another program I have to install to allow the computer manage settings of the battery?
    2. do I need to change some settings in the power options?
3 should. what settings I change in power options?

    Any help would be welcome
    Kind regards

  • Taken HP dv2000 laptop computer abroad: questions about power converters

I will study abroad in Egypt for about four months. I decided to bring my laptop with me, but I am very concerned to plug. I guess I need a power converter, but I know that there are two different types. I don't know what kind to get, or if it's even safe to try at all. Does anyone have recommendations?

The power adapter supplied with the laptop is a universal power adapter supports voltages 100v to 240v input. Therefore, the only thing you would need to buy when you move to a different place is a power plug interface, which you could buy any electric store.

  • I have the motherboard A780L3B have a question about power

I have the A780L3B and the guid of the quick instalation shows two power connectors pin 4 and PIN 24 my question is can I plug my sorce of power in two of them, or only the instalation guid doesn't even say just said what it is and doesn't say if I need to connect the two or just one

Do you have a disk with the motherboard?  In my view, that it is a card mother Biostar.  I have 3 Biostar mobos that came with the disc.  There may be a manual on the disc.  Normally, you connect the two connectors from the power supply.  I would of course ensure that the documentation well.

    Good luck.

Sometimes my computer seen orange power light. I know what is the meaining of it... when the computer load this lamp is seen like this... but sometimes is orange will suddenly not needed... and it never turn off unless I have pull corks... After doing this operations is charing again, but a few minutes later lamb out...
What is this prob. and what we do

    Hi Levent,

Regarding your power supply problem, I would recommend re-installing the utility of power management Toshiba since the Toshiba utility CD, (unless you use Microsoft Power settings of course. I then go into the utility of Toshiba power from the control panel and check that the power is as you want them to be.

Your ventilation issue is quite common (you can search this forum for similar positions), but in short, the cooling fans are blocked with dust and other debris over a period of time. You should clean this accumulation of CPU radiator by carefully removing the radiator under the laptop or by sucking debris with a household vacuum. Where the CPU is too hot the notebook our instantly down to avoid damage even if you notice a rapid increase in the speed of the fan before that happens.

    Hello

Well, it's not easy to say what part has a malfunction. As far as I know that the motherboard has a delicate electronic power supply. You must be an expert to resolve this problem. I suggest you contact the service partner because they have more experience in these cases.
On the Toshiba site, you can find the right ASP.

    Good bye

  • Question about SRM volume requirements

I set up a validation of SRM principle (5.0.1) a few weeks ago and fell on this issue, but ended up ignoring at the time because it was not a major problem. Now, however, I need to solve it. Basically, I got a volume NFS containing a cluster of virtual machines, which some I only wanted to recover in the second site through SRM. However, when you create a protection group, I have been unable to add only the virtual machines; I could only operate by adding all the virtual machines on this volume.

This is the expected behavior? If this is not the case, how can I configure MIS so that I can retrieve only certain virtual machines on a volume and others not?

    Thank you.

    Hux,

This is normal.  When you use array based replication, SRM protects virtual machines at the data store level.  Really, there are two ways around this:

    1. create a new NFS volume and move the virtual machines that you want to protect that will separate your protégé of unprotected.

    2. you can use vSphere replication which is a new feature within the RS 5.  Make sure you read the conditions required for this.  Quick note on this point - failback is not yet available for vSphere replication if it is supposed to be implemented in a future release.

    I hope this helps!

  • Satellite A350D - 20K - Question about upgrade second HDD + Temperature

I have a question about my laptop. I have notticed it is a second location of HARD disk on the bottom.
Is it possible to use this to increase my storage?
And if yes, how do I do that? I don't see all the connectors.
What type of HARD drive to use in case it is possible to use this slot machine?

My second question is on my laptop to be very hot after a short period of use.
I installed speedfan to record the temperature. When I start the laptop, it already is between 45 and 50 degrees.
He stayed there for half an hour and then it starts to get warmer. When I start to use the laptop for anything, it triggers to between 70 and 80 degrees.

This does not seem normal to me. I tried to clean the vents with compressed air, but it has not made a difference.
I searched on the internet how to take the laptop part for proparly cleaned TI.
But I can't so I'm looking that destroy it.

This could be the cause and more importantly, how can I solve this problem?

    Tom

The second HARD drive bay contains the HARD drive connectors?
If Yes, then you can use a SATA 2.5 HARD.
If there are no connectors, then you will not be able to use the second HARD drive

    > I have installed speedfan to record the temperature. When I start the laptop, it already is between 45 and 50 degrees. He stayed there for half an hour and then it starts to get warmer. When I start to use the laptop for anything, it triggers to between 70 and 80 degrees.

CPU and GPU produce a lot of heat. The heat dissipation is always created then there s nothing unusual that the temperature rose to higher level.
You can change the settings in Win 7 power management. You can set the CPU to lower performance and can increase the activity of fan, which will help lower the temperature.

  • A few questions about Toshiab reocvery disk for Satellite P300-133

    Hello guys,.
I had a few questions about unpleasant surprises of recovery:

(* 1) * I just make recovery DVD using Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator and he asked initially for 2 DVDs - but when one has been done it does not require a second blank DVD. Is it possible all the Windows Vista system files to write on 1 DVD?

(* 2) * if I could reinstall Windows Vista using recovery of HARD drive option (by pressing F8) without using the recovery DVD?

(* 3) * HARD drive partitions that will be formatted (just system C: or C: and E :) using HARD drive recovery?

(* 4) * what is DVD - Image of the hard drives or the installation of Vista recovery files?

Its pretty bad idea to not include BONES on DVD when I paid for it.
Thanks for all the Toshiba problems :(

    1. I think the recovery disk creator means 2 CDs. I also have a Portege M700 with Windows Vista and a DVD. I got it and after that, I have a clean install of Vista with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba. Nothing is missing.

    2. Yes, you can reinstall Vista using recovery of HARD drive option when you press F8 at startup. You don't need the recovery DVDs, but you should create a when your HARD drive get some errors or something else. If you need a new recovery DVDs, you paid for one.

3 HARD drive and complete partitions will be formatted, so backup your data first on a DVD disk external DRIVE, USB stick or something else.
After the reinstallation, you have factory settings.

    4. the recovery DVDs is an image of the HARD disk on the factory settings. If you perform a recovery, there are all the drivers and tools are already installed. Of course, on the disk are files of installations of Vista, but you can use this DVD on your Satellite P300. The disc cannot be used on another Satellite or on a PC.

If you have any other questions, take a look in the user manual. There are a number in the formations of the recovery. It s in Chapter 3.

  • Questions about Satellite P10 554

    Hello

I have 2 questions about my P10-554. I read on this forum but can't find anything that helps out me.

    First of all:
When I try to turn the unit off after working, using even the closing of xp function or the power button, windows normally quit, but when it needs to turn off just reboot again. If I repeat the closing down directly after this restart, normally it turns off.
This problem occur only when I use the power supply in battery mode.
I can't say that to me...

    Second:
I have a mini PCI Wlan card for my unit, works very well, but I wonder if it is possible to get the Wlan switch switch work whith it? Or is it only possible whith some special maps? It is not so important, but it would be nice to know if there is a trick or something to get the switch used.

    Best regards
    Gabbagandalf

    Hello

    Regarding your first question;
I'm a bit confused of m are sure you n t use the restart option?
I never noticed anything like that on my laptop

Usually, if I use the Shut down option, I can choose between standby, hibernation, restart and shutdown. If I use the stop that the laptop turns off as it should.
Maybe it's time to s for a reinstallation of the OS?

    On the second question.
The switch on the left side for laptop was designed and developed to pass on the WLan card antenna.
Usually, you should be able to use this switch and to toggle WLan card functionality

Don t understand why it should not work?  :|

  • Question about lights LED R7000

Question about this quote from the Manual: "when the router is turned on, the light during approximately 10 seconds and then turn. If all lights lit, this indicates a fault in the router"my router lights LED is turned off. Are they supposed to? I discovered how manually to disable using genius. NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 is defective?

I think the manual means just that at first they all turn on, then off for a few seconds. LED lights depending on what services are available.

The power light should stay lit. Port LAN LED come on if a device is connected the WiFi LED (Amber on white, 100 M, 1000 m), are we if the radios are turned on. The Wan or the internet LED lights up if there is a connection to the internet. Some of them you can turn off via the user interface, but it is handy to have on so that you know the status.

It looks like your router working normally.

  • Questions about an average of response spectrum and frequency of feeding mode.

    Hello

I have a few questions about an average of mode. When I generate a sinusoidal signal from one output to two input channels channel to see if my DAQ card works well and vector averaged in the power spectrum for DFT, the amplitudes was different from the previous one of the amplitude, which was supposed to be 1 v peak. They range from 0.5 v to 0.6 v peak. When the calculation of the average model is RMS, the amplitudes were close to 1. I wonder what are the fomulas of RMS and average vector. Does that mean that I could not accurate if I use an average of vector? In a time of frequency response, why I coherences of difference and the amplitudes using the vector and the mean quadratic value?

    Thank you

    Ningyu

    rico1985,

The differences in modes of generation are as they sound: 1 sample output only a sample writing, N samples will be released however many samples configure you for each entry, and the continuous samples released samples continuously until a specified user action happens (you press the stop button or a logic that you created gets fulfulled). The range of Signal output allows you to set a ceiling high and low level of your output signal and it only affects the quality keeping in this beach. Timing to set a deadline for the time between the acquisition of the sample. If a new sample becomes unavailable before the timeout setting, you will get an error. This is useful for looking at a network, because if the network goes down and you stop getting data from a machine and then you would like to know about it. I point you to those videos that are short tutorials on how to make the most of these actions in SignalExpress. The SignalExpress 3.0 Help file is also your first point of contact for all your questions on getting started. These two resources should get you up and running in SignalExpress in no time. (either by the way all your questions answered using these resources) Bravo!

  • Questions about reinstalling Windows XP after the end of Support

Several members of the family of my friends that I sometimes provide technical assistance for are still under XP SP3 on their systems.  These systems are too outdated and underpowered to upgrade to a newer version of Windows, and it will probably be some time until they are able to upgrade to a more recent hardware capable of running most modern versions of Windows.

If in the meantime, something happens to one of their computers requiring a reinstall of Windows after support for XP purposes, but before they can get a newer computer, I have a few questions about what will happen:

    1. Is there still a way to activate their existing copies of XP during installation process?
    2. While I understand that new patches, updates, patches & will be is no longer provided, existing patches will be available through the Microsoft Update service so that I would be able to get those computers to update state that they would be about to XP supported ends, or do I have to search elsewhere to try & find these updates?  (It would be nice if Microsoft put up a cumulative update that would be sort of a mega-patch for people in this situation to be able to get back to the most current state systems, but I would not be surprised if there wasn't such a thing).

Anyone know the answers to these questions?

    Thank you

You should be able to clean install and activate Windows XP.  You should be able to upgrade as well, even if the wise move would be to get the updates stored on portable media or integrated into a multimedia installation (or both) as soon as POSSIBLE if the plan is to continue using Windows XP for a while.

My suggestion is to set up and to buy Windows 7 Professional renovated systems / lease from places like TigerDirect.com - as pricing is generally about the same as just a license for Windows 7 or a little professional, the hardware specifications of these machines are likely machines Windows XP current in use, using something like the PC Mover take care of Laplink and Microsoft to move files (or for the more than 25 USD the) applications that can be moved as well) to the new system of the former is possible, and Windows 7 will get updated until 2020.

Recently research I've seen systems to Windows 7 Professional for as little as 150 USD with 4 GB of memory and dual core processors.  Not bad.

  • Question about the charging light on the venue Pro 11 (5130)

I'm curious... read these discussions in recent weeks... found this work with the Tablet for about 2.5 hours after... I was up to 75% of battery. Connect the tablet to install a software... noticed 75%, not charging. Stop... removed the battery and put it back... He then read 75%, in charge. OK... so what's fixed now... a question about the manual of the system. Said that when the battery is charging, a white light is supposed to be on... where? When that I start, I see a momentary white light at the top of the screen, by the front camera... but when it is plugged and the loading and off... white light no.... No a - I misread? Thank you

Light (color is white when the load) is located next to the power switch (top, right). Mine re-load very fast.

White light goes off (or does not) when the Tablet is fully charged (the light on the charger is always on when it is plugged into the outlet)...
