question fundamental House window 7, after having installed Avast

Hi guys,.

I have a problem. I installed avast 7 on Windows 7. I have a password for my laptop. whenever I turn on it will get stuck to the password window. the mouse does not move. keyboard does not work. tried in safe mode and sfae mode with network too... plss help Mr. on that... Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Paul,.

What happens when you try to connect with the safe mode and safe mode with networking mode, you are able to connect?

Try the following and see if it helps.

Method 1:

I suggest you try starting in the last good known Configuration and verify if you are able to connect.

Using the last good known Configuration: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Using-Last-Known-Good-Configuration

Method 2:

If the problem persists, I recommend that you perform a restore from the System Recovery Options system.

To do this, follow these steps.

(a) remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer by using the power button on the computer.

(b) do one of the following:

If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you must try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.

(c) on the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight repair your computer and press ENTER. (If your computer is not listed as an option, then your computer doesn't understand no repair preinstalled recovery options, or your network administrator has disabled the.)

(d) to select a keyboard layout and then click Next.

(e) in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it.

(f) select System Restore.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

Keep us updated on the status of the issue.

  • Can't activate Windows 7 after re - install, have the product key for Vista but not W7

    Hello

My father-in-law asked me to help him with his laptop because he had a lot of problems with it. After a lot of work trying to solve the problems, we have decided to re - install Windows because it seemed to be the easiest solution. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the installation disc. After some research, I discovered that it is possible to download an ISO of Windows 7 on Digital River and put it on a USB key to create a pseudo reinstall drive. I looked under the laptop and saw that the product key was still visible on the sticker, so I moved and re-installed Windows 7 using a USB key that had the right file ISO on it.

However, it is only after you have reinstalled Windows 7 that I realized that the laptop came with Windows Vista and which is what provided the product key. It seems that the laptop has been upgraded to Windows 7 after, but my father-in-law doesn't remember anything about it since it is not too good with computer and the laptop belonged to his son.

Now, we have a new installation of Windows 7, but I can't understand how to activate it. I would really appreciate the help as I already put a lot of time on this and cannot find a solution.

    Thank you.

Managed to find a working link to a file image of vista and installed on the laptop. Everything seems fine now.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Is it possible to receive all the updates for Windows XP after re-installing?

I realize that Microsoft no longer make new updates for Windows XP (form apart recent exception), but I was about to run a complete reset of my Windows XP Netbook when I thought to myself "I'll be able to get the updates?"

So my question is just that, if I turn my Windows XP Netbookreset, it will download all the necessary updates, to the point where Microsoft stopped, making them?

If not, is there another way to get the updates, I would need, or is it better to not run the factory reset at all.

    Your help is very appreciated,

    Sylar

Yes, Windows Update will always offer updates for XP that were issued before April 8, 2014.

There is a catch, however, (which may apply to the vilidjit) - Windows Update won't work for XP, unless service pack 3 is already installed.  It is also possible that it will not work until IE 8 is installed, but I'm less sure of that.

If your computer is running after a 'restoration provided the factory' earlier level of service pack for XP, you must download and install service packs manually.  If you have no service pack, you need to install sp2 before you install sp3 (if you have sp 1 or sp1a, you don't need sp2).

If you did a "restore to factory conditions", don't forget to uninstall any free trial of an antivirus program (the free trial period will be long expired).  Use the appropriate removal of the manufacturer of the virus program tool.

  • Questions about reinstalling Windows XP after the end of Support

Several members of the family of my friends that I sometimes provide technical assistance for are still under XP SP3 on their systems.  These systems are too outdated and underpowered to upgrade to a newer version of Windows, and it will probably be some time until they are able to upgrade to a more recent hardware capable of running most modern versions of Windows.

If in the meantime, something happens to one of their computers requiring a reinstall of Windows after support for XP purposes, but before they can get a newer computer, I have a few questions about what will happen:

    1. Is there still a way to activate their existing copies of XP during installation process?
    2. While I understand that new patches, updates, patches & will be is no longer provided, existing patches will be available through the Microsoft Update service so that I would be able to get those computers to update state that they would be about to XP supported ends, or do I have to search elsewhere to try & find these updates?  (It would be nice if Microsoft put up a cumulative update that would be sort of a mega-patch for people in this situation to be able to get back to the most current state systems, but I would not be surprised if there wasn't such a thing).

Anyone know the answers to these questions?

    Thank you

You should be able to clean install and activate Windows XP.  You should be able to upgrade as well, even if the wise move would be to get the updates stored on portable media or integrated into a multimedia installation (or both) as soon as POSSIBLE if the plan is to continue using Windows XP for a while.

My suggestion is to set up and to buy Windows 7 Professional renovated systems / lease from places like TigerDirect.com - as pricing is generally about the same as just a license for Windows 7 or a little professional, the hardware specifications of these machines are likely machines Windows XP current in use, using something like the PC Mover take care of Laplink and Microsoft to move files (or for the more than 25 USD the) applications that can be moved as well) to the new system of the former is possible, and Windows 7 will get updated until 2020.

Recently research I've seen systems to Windows 7 Professional for as little as 150 USD with 4 GB of memory and dual core processors.  Not bad.

  • Propeller: Graphics distorted in Windows applications after you install the latest version of the graphics driver (3643)

After downloading and installing the latest graphics driver for lenovo support pages (10.18.10.3643) I noticed that some graphics in Windows applications are distorted. Generally, it looks like a refresh or memory problem. If you start the application that everything is OK and after using it awhile (or switch to another app and back)

For example, Onenote radial menu looks like this:

Where is should look like this:

Over time, it could get worse, as the entire application has problems how to freshen up, or this menu does not lose only icons, but also the colors, etc..

I tried to reduce the demand for resources by disabled anti-aliassing, but it does not help.

Normal windows applications do not have the problem and friendly resource (for example not chart orieted apps) takes more time to show the same behavior.

It is 'just' a bug in the driver, or y at - it shape a setting I have to solve this problem?

    Thank you

  • Remote system disconnected after having installed MAX 4.7.3

    Hello!

This topic is related to the question which you can find here.

In order to fix the problem of locale on Windows (XP in my case), I used the update to 1.1.3 System Configuration and it seems to work. I changed the locale to my local and installed the update. Silverlight goes not down, so what is fixed. However, this created a new problem:

Now my status from remote devices (1742 - NOR and NOR-1746) is always "offline". The devices are connected to a different subnet to the development computer. Rattling of their IPs have shown that they are there. I can connect to the camera using the project in real time. However, in MAX remote system status remains 'disconnected '. I tried to delete and recreate MAX devices, but that doesn't work anymore.

I also tried it with the Windows Firewall, power on and off and updated software with NI Update Service. On another computer, which did not have the update yet, I can connect to and modify the devices.

In addition, I completely reinstalled the development system, but the problem persists.

    Kind regards

  • T440s lost Bluetooth after having installed the latest updated via the Lenovo system update

Hi everyone, my setup - Windows 8.1, Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260 with Bluetooth built-in.

After the installation of the last packet of Intel's Bluetooth (via the Lenovo system update), I lost Bluetooth constantly.

-J' I tried to uninstall the update of the driver, nothing has changed.

-J' tried to restore through Windows Restore Point (I did a fresh restore point before you install these updates,) without success...

    I noticed that:

-When this happened, the fingerprint reader to are featured strange - there is no if light (with green light) initially, Windows, and Windows was asking me a password instead of the fingerprint.

-In the Device Manager. Bluetooth category disappeared (I was there before the upgrade - for sure.). but I saw a new unrecognized device whose name ends with something like "(de l'énumération n'a pas pu) '-this could probably be the Bluetooth card."

-L' tray for Bluetooth icon disappeared.

-The Bluetooth system option submenu and its devices in the Windows settings disappeared (and it was here before).

-Looking for Bluetooth in Windows 8.1 returned property (with Win + W hotkey) framework "set up Bluetooth devices" or similar, but when I clicked it, it couldn't access this option - just took me to the main configuration screen.

I had to do a restore of the system using Linux (thankfully made a full HD image backup of the HDD and SSD using Clonezilla readers - that was the only way to fix this-instead of complete reinstallation of Windows).

The only driver that works for me is the Intel version 3.1.1307.364 issued on August 1, 2013.

    -Anyone else had similar problems?

Apart from this, the Bluetooth disconnects always happen: see http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T440s-major-WiFi-and-Bluetooth-instability/...

Can someone give me some advice please?

    I need help with this.

I found a solution to this problem.

Apparently, installing bluetooth driver through update system does not install it properly.

So I downloaded the latest driver of Lenovo driver download page, and instead run autorun.exe, I sailed to 64-bit dir and then run the installation program.

    Everything works fine now.

'Reboot '? Do you mean "reinstall Windows"?

Do not confuse the two. To restart simply means to restart the computer - something that most people do every day, or more often.

If you reinstalled Windows, you need to * turn * it. Also, not to be confused with registration activation; they are two different things. Activation is required; registration is completely optional.

You do * not * have to buy anything. Simply reactivate. If you can't do on the internet, call the phone number provided to you. It will be quick and easy.

Use Magical Jellybean Keyfinder to get your product key and then activate in the usual way.

I assume that, by "upgrading of the o/s", you mean that you have downloaded and installed service packs or updates to security and not if you change from one version of Windows to another.

Activation of Windows 7 (upgrade) after clean reinstall

    Hi guys,.

I have the problem with the Windows 7 upgrade version. I was with WIn 7 months with no problems. Win7 was installed on windows Vista in my case.
But a few days ago, I decided to do a clean reinstall (from scratch, formatted HARD drive).

The installation was funny until I got the error message telling me that my key is not for the clean install and I can't activate the system. I just left the empty key field and open windows.

I thought that I activate the system in 'normal' mode not during the installation. So I now fully installed Windows 7 and I can't activate it - because the installation was made not M$ ' mroper way "." Very funny so the "right way" is to install windows Vista and upgrade to windows 7?

The system has been enabled on this PC (the same harware 100%) before, so I can't do this again? I can not show same Vista installation CD, etc. installation key?

Is there another way to activate it?

    Thank you
