Question of BES blackBerry Smartphones

Hi all

I hope someone can help me solve the following problem.

I got a BB Curve 9300, OS v6.0.0.526 platform 6.6.0.195, for use at work today.

The BB has been activated and configured to be used with our BES corp.

My normal workstation is running Windows 7 and Office / Outlook 2010.  I have server-side Exchange rules configured in Outlook that move messages to individuals in specific subfolders under my Inbox.

Earlier this afternoon, I sent an e-mail message to which he replied to my manager.  However, his answer does not appear on my BB.  I was unaware of his answer until I accessed my email remotely from a pc account.

In this specific case, I opened a virtual, open Office Outlook and was able to see his response.  I also see his answer through OWA.

On my BB, I can see all sub folders that I created in my Inbox on the Exchange Server, but his response to my initial message does not appear on my BB as it does from the Outlook or OWA client.

The BB Curve email message actions display options and are 'no' together to hide filed or sent messages.

Corp seems to think I need to have "all" messages go directly to my Inbox 'without' folder redirection to receive all incoming messages properly on my BB.  I'm not buying it... What is the point of having an Inbox arranged if this is the case when using a BB to have access to e-mail?

In addition, if the thought process of the Corp is correct, then why I see subfolders of Inbox that I created in Outlook on my BB when I choose email BB option to choose or of opening a specific file?

Someone has an answer, or can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?

TIA,

Cliff

By default, BES grows only by e-mail in the Inbox and sent items to the device, so that you can see your email in their own folder structure are not pushed.

If you need pushed certain folders on your device go to your Inbox, select Options - E-mail settings and press the Blackberry Menu button - select the Folder Redirection

Work your way to the bottom of your folder list by pressing the menu button to select files that will need to be pushed on the device.

Once you have selected all the files you want, press the menu button, then press save

Note: this will affect only the messages pushed to your device in the future, old messages will not be pushed.

    Hello goldsalltime

I wipe simple does not delete any policy of our BlackBerry. Currently, if you use your BlackBerry purely personal purposes so first make a backup and then follow this Knowledge Base and put it back to factory setting:

After a reset when restoring your backup, do a selective restore, restore only your contacts, calendar, Memo entries. does not restore all otherwise these policies that you just deleted restore back and you have to start over.

  • Question of the blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry ID on "BOLD" again.

I changed to a BB BOLD 9900, can't remember the password to my ID and have no idea what the answer to the security question. My camera said go online and I can reset the password with the duty to remember the security question. I can't do it, he wants the issue of security. Now he has locked me twice. Help, please!

    Thanks for the clarification...

I passed to the KB26361 and followed the process, it says. Always BB wants a password recovery question answered.

Well, you used, regarding this KB, the word "process", which is the singular form of the word. However, that particular KB contains multiple processes, so I can't say with certainty if you continued through it to the specific method for failing to provide the answer to the security question, with the 'Note', it contains regarding the absence of having already (in the past) confirmed the BB ID... and, if no, then indeed the security issue cannot be circumvented.

Please specify if you have indeed found and tried this specific section in this KB.

    davcolpitts wrote:

I don't know what it means the Blackberry ID has not confirmed. How can it be confirmed when it was used on the old BB.

When you create a BBID account, you will receive an email, with a link that you must click to confirm your account (in order to validate, for the system, which you are actually available on this email address). But, if you ignore this request for confirmation, you don't stop using your BBID... for various purposes, but this effect (to automatically recover access to your BBID) is indeed blocked unless you know the answer to the Security Question you created originally (as part of the validation of identity, to ensure that you are who you claim to be).

Since you can now connect in your BBID from anywhere (for example, PC/browser), you can now check the status of your BBID confirmation. Until you solve the access to your BBID, you can't do anything with it now. BBID, like all things BB, is very safe... but the human component is critical for safety. When the human component fails, there is only so that the automatic recovery process can do to help... and you seem to be in a situation that is beyond what those automated recovery process can do.

Me? There's nothing I can do about it. Reference:

But, to try to get the human intervention is fully described already in this same post to which I've linked to post you 3 above.

    Good luck!

  • Question deleted BBM blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello.

I have looked on the internet and was unable to find an answer to my question and the RIM returned to my e-mail and directed me to this forum.

My question is whether delete BBM messages can be retrieved from the backend to the police if they have a warrant or other order of the Court (for example, a production order).  I know that once the user can not recovered their the BBM messages are deleted, I wonder whether or not law enforcement can recover for a file, they are working on that.

If anyone knows the answer I'll be very grateful.

    Thank you!

BlackBerry Messenger messages are stored locally on the device that received the message. These messages are not stored on a remote server any.

Once the message is removed from the device, it is gone and cannot be reterived.

    See you soon,.

  • Problem with integration Outlook with BES blackBerry Smartphones

I have Outlook 2003 and my storm through a BES. Now all my folders appear on the Blackberry (with the exception of air currents), but only records that really sync are the Inbox and sent folders. Some folders to synchronize some of the information but nt all this. Any suggestions to get the sync process to go smoother?

In addition, if the rules are made in Outlook for emails to shoot in a particular folder on reception, why don't these rules translate on the storm/BES?

Please advise and thank you in advnace for your help.

The drafts folder is not synchronize on a BlackBerry.

If you go under Messages | Options | Email settings | Folder redirection, you can develop your mailbox and see if all the folders you want to synchronize is checked.

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB04297

The rules should be translated if you configure the folder redirection, as described above. Unless the folder redirection was the installation until you have activated, you will see new emails as redirected by outlook rule. When e-mails redirected by a rule Outlook icon next to these e-mails looks like a blue/gray folder instead of the icon normal envelope.

  • Group question Outlook of blackBerry Smartphones

I have two groups of contact created in Outlook, one for my personal contacts and who is the public address book. After my "BOLD" with the BES synchronized, all my contacts appear in a group. If I go to the filter, I have the possibility of personal and business. Is it possible to have the groups in Outlook apply on the Blackberry? I see that you can create groups on the device, but I won't go through all of the contacts and sort them.

You create categories in Outlook and after synchronization with the device through blackberry desktop Manager

  • Questions a few blackBerry Smartphones

OK so recently I got my Pearl like a hand down from Dad (he got the new "BOLD" through his company) and I have a few questions.

First of all, I am on OS 4.5.0.110 and Desktop Manager wants me to update to 4.5.0.182

Is this safe to do? The Pearl is an old phone and I just download Desktop Manager yesterday so I don't want to risk bricking by putting new software on an old phone.

Secondly, I was doing some research on the maximum media card formats, and I found a link to another thread on this site that said

    "

BlackBerry Device Software media card size limit

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 up to 2 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 up to 8 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 up to 8 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and more up to 16 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later up to 32 GB

    "

However, it was the storm article... do these same limitations apply to the Pearl 8100?

and if the answer to the above time? "s is Yes, so is it possible for me to update to 4.6 so I can use a 32 GB card?"

What BlackBerry Pearl you have (look at the Options > about, the top line)?

Yes, you can upgrade the operating system of the device. I would recommend doing thie way I posted below, rather than by Desktop Manager... much safer in my opinion.

If the unit works well for you, no problem, you can not upgrade.

There is no OS 4.6 for the 81xx Pearl series. The highest is 4.5.0.xxx, so 16 GB is the largest map of support for the device.

I looked for a new blackberry, and I really like the specifications and the camera for the Q10.

But I tried the new OS for Blackberry 10 to my mobile phone operator, and I really don't like the gesture-based interface.

I wonder if it is possible to buy a Q10 and then downgrade to an older OS - like maybe OS 7 or 6.

    Help, please

I have already answered in your other thread. There's no option to downgrade from OS10 on Q10.

  • QUESTIONS of BBM blackBerry Smartphones (9300)

    Hello!

I want to ask you if the BBM requires a plan of a network provider or can be free to use wifi?

I just upgraded my BBM and tried setting up, but after like step 2, it seems just empty. I tried to plug in on my facebook, but it tells me that my radio is off and I need to turn first. I don't know even what 'radio' the thing speaks!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello miochan984

Yes, we must... use BlackBerry Messenger and many other BlackBerry applications on our BlackBerry devices we need a specific Plan of BlackBerry data / BIS of our carrier or service provider of network even in wifi.

Once you enable it, you can use these apps on your mobile network as well as on the wifi with no problems.

On your device Homescreen go in manage connections > make sure Mobile network is marked or checked.
