  I have an Adobe Illustrator CS6 document with body copy using 6.5 PT. Neue Helvetica LT STD - Bold Condensed & Light Condensed.

  After you save the file as a PDF in Illustrator by using the [smallest file size] parameter, closing and opening of the newly saved in Illustrator - PDF text of 6.5 PT is now 5.53 PT with a vertical scaling of 117.65%.

  This PDF file is for purposes of customer review - on the screen or laser print - not for reproduction. We try to keep the file size as small as possible to make the download and attachments manageable.

  In this case, my client opens the PDF file in Illustrator to check the sizes of text for legal and regulatory purposes.

  If I record the same Illustrator file to PDF using other parameters as [high quality Print], the size of the text is unchanged.

  I was able to repeat the question using Helvetica LT Std instead of Helvetica Neue LT Std.

  To summarize "preserve Illustrator editing capabilities.

  He seems less to do with the "smallest file size" preset as it does with the box "preserve Illustrator editing capabilities". If you click on that even with the smallest size of selected file, you should not have the question - BUT you will have a much larger file (especially if there is high-resolution images).

  I am very new to the aftermath. I'm in the middle of my first project. This is a second clip 10 quick that fades into a text and has a default value moving fully behind it.

  I want to include it at the beginning of a movie first pro that I am (almost like an animated logo). So I tried to go out to an avi file, but the completed avi file size was more than 300 MB.

  I just wanted to know if this seems normal? Seems like a lot to me.

  In case it is important that I used AfterEffects CS5.5 and the project to adapt to a 720 x 480 screen.

  Hello. I installed PeopleTools 8.53 with Oracle Linux 5.10 successfully. The PeopleTools everything works fine in the browser at the beginning.

  After that I installed HCM and Solution Campus 9.0 Instance of database named HRCS90 in Linux successfully, PeopleTools 8,53 Database Instance PT853 can not be mounted. The error message is less to:

I change the value of db_files 1021 to 1500 in the initPT853.ora file and restart the Linux operating system. But get the same error as below:

  I'm sorry, but I do not understand that "Instance" means here.

  Are you do not use a spfile? The file actually contains 3 values? What's the latest? Have you checked the value in the database side "see the db_files parameter?

  I am sure, you have not a problem with this setting, 1500 files in the database is fairly large. Recently, I've built a demo, the default 1021 was ok for me. You should have done something wrong somewhere.

  Create the file on the server using the text_io (and not on the client using client_text_io).

  And then when it is created, transfer the entire file to your customer using WebUtil file transfer.

• Question/VMDK file size

  We are in the process of starting a new company and have problems with VM data warehouses.

  Most of our stores approximately 500 GB and 1 VM home each.

  They all work quite as much as we want, but our 01 server continues to increase in size, and we have already had an accident.

  I see a 01.Intro vmdk file that is 260 GB, but I see a second, 01 - 00001.vmdk that continues to grow in space.

  I read that it is a kind of "Snapshot", but how can I make sure it gets moved to a different place, so it's not fillup the data store?

  And do I really need?

  A new starter with that little so if you need more info ask please.

  The second - 0000.vmdk you see is indeed a snapshot.

  By the looks of it, you don't want this snapshot to be there.

  To remove this snapshot, you click with the right button on the VM - snapshots - Snapshot manager

  You should see a snapshot, so delete by clicking "Remove all" that commit snapshots originally vmdk, so you delete any data.

  If you don't see a snapshot in the Snapshot Manager, you may need to create a new snapshot in VM - snapshots - Take snapshot

  After the snapshot is complete, you can return to Snapshot Manager and remove all

• Windows media player error C00D1197, and I trying to activate all the protcals network and fix if all goes well. How?

  I have tried to resolve the error C00D1197 for months and ran into a field that says "to enable all network protocols.  How would I do that as this error comes up saying "Windows Media player cannot find the file.  If you try to read, burn or sync an item in your library, the element can point to a file that has been moved, renamed or deleted".  I try to rip and burn and can not and some music from the library has different songs on the album listed, but it plays ok.  A little help from a friend if you please.  TKS, Jimbo

  It's good to hear - it means that the monitor is OK and that it is compatible with Vista.  It is still unclear on the video card or the motherboard on the computer (or any other problem this computer might have) = but one step at a time.  You have made great strides and ruled out several possible causes that we must now check or test.

  What is the EXACT error message you are getting (Word for Word)?  Which is the key to product, the manufacturer, brand, model and serial number or your computer (I assume it's using the original video card)?  What i the manufacturer, brand and model of the new monitor?

  Even if you could get the Microsoft drivers (which I don't think you can), you should take them to the device manufacturer or the manufacturer of the computer, if they moved on the computer.  They are likely to be more current and have fewer problems.  And you want drivers, firmware and software necessary or required by the device (they will be either the list which is available or you can ask for help and they should direct you to what you need).  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you shouldget to the monitor, the video card and the motherboard and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. I tried c:regsvr32 shmedia.dll - he did not recognize. 7. do you have a disk cleanup - did not help 8. went on the Panel, clicked on the Option to record, made sure "Always - miniature" was not checked - has not helped. I can sure use the help because I ran out of options. I can open RealPlayer will display the icon on my desktop and thumbnails. My operating system is Vista Home Premium 32-bit. Thank you

  I just fixed my problem - I went to the internet and connected to RealPlayer.com and download their latest version. IT WORKED! Everything is back to normal.

• Why comments in the Details pane reduce a 30 MB tiff file size to 10 MB?

  I have a scan, which is a TIFF about 30 MB and I wrote a comment in the details pane to this topic.  When I saved the comment a window pops up with a message "Application of the properties as a reference" and then the file size has dropped to about two-thirds around 10 MB.

  What Vista did to my file?  And why?

  It's my pleasure - glad I could help him.  It is very interesting to transfer the file of 23 MB to Photoshop in Photoshop showing the original 86MB (which suggests that nothing actually happened to the file - it is just how Vista reports its size that seems to be wrong).  Maybe you've found a bug in the system - it wouldn't be the first.  It seems to me that you must ignore Vista file size reporting and information from Photoshop or any other programs that you use to work with images and TIFF files (not exactly the best location, but perhaps the only one available).

  We see some huge pag files in our essbase cube and Oracle had suggested to change the bitmap image compression to see if this will help. (we currently have "no compression")

  There are a bunch of updates in custody and the rules concerning the 'better' compression method - it does say I use almost always ELA as the method that seems most effective wrt the disk space. It is logical that this method examines each block and apply the most effective method: pair ELA, bitmap, or Index value. I can't see a difference in calculation between bitmap and ELA.

  How the hell did you in the position of no compression in the first place?

  Oops, a couple things:
  (1) after you apply the change of compression in environmental assessments or via MaxL, you must stop and then restart the database for the setting to take effect.
  (2) you must export the database, clear out and reloaded using the new compression method - #1 change affects only new blocks if you could have a mixture of compressed and uncompressed to your db, bliocks which will do nothing for the storage space.
  (3) the only way to really know which method is the most effective is to compare the calculation (remember to write on the disk which could be a little slower than now) and the compression methods is to do it. Try it as a bitmap and note time calc of sampling and file size IND and PAG, so try as ELA and do the same thing.

  Total current total size of ARCHIVELOG files if "672.39" but especially the request saying that only 8% of the db_recovery_file_dest was used. So obviously they are either not in + RECOVERY or they are not accounted for.

  You wrong understand archiving at the area of fast recovery works. You have done the fast recovery area to a certain destination and also set up check-in to the same physical location: but Oracle doesn't know that they are in the same place. You must explicitly set:

  ALTER system set log_archive_dest_1 is 'location = USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST';.

  and then Oracle will understand and follow the space in the paper archive used against the db_recovery_file_dest_size.
