Question of Media Player on Toshiba 32L 4333

Media player is the automatic startup mode.

When I insert usb - tv usb to recognize and ask to start media player - so ask me video - music or photos.
I start watching the video by usb - after I stop the video to the media player usb and output because as I watch TV.
_And I can't restart the media player. _
I need to remove the USB key and insert it againt so TV recognize againt usb and ask me to start the media player.

Can I switch between the TV and Media player without remove and reinsert the USB key?

Hello
I guess that called auto-start is enabled, and therefore playback starts automatically.
When Auto-start is enabled, you will be asked if you want to start the media player each time that a
Peripheral USB is inserted. If autostart is disabled (or if you want to connect to a media server on the network), you must manually start the Media Player menu.

To change the auto start setting:
Settings button to highlight icon and press Options.
Press the arrow to the right of the button and the up/down button to select the setup Media Player, and then press OK.
Press up/down to select USB Auto Start and press OK.
Press the left/right button to select on or off.

All step by step instruction can be found in the manual user 61 page ;)

  • Toshiba 32L 4333 - strange question after install firmware 7.1.92.41.01.1

    Hello

I installed the update of firmware a few days ago. Now, when I turn off the TV, the screen goes off for some time (a few minutes) and then turns on again with just a black light (as the backlight is turned on) and stays on. I don't have this problem before the update. Is there a way to solve this problem, or to return to the previous version of firmware?

You reset the TV after firmware upgrade?
As far as I know Toshiba recommends this reset after each update of the firmware.
So check that. Reset details must be mentioned in the user manual

  • Re: Toshiba 32L 4333 stops responding

    Hello and happy new year!

We recently purchased TV model 4333 32L. We have a major and a minor problem.

Problem major is that when I surf the channels with the CH keys + / TV becomes sometimes totally insensitive and the only solution is to unplug the TV from the mains and wait I mean 10-15 min. and plug it again.
If I expect less it does not again.
He answers no to any button on the remote control as well as the buttons on the rear panel.

After that it works OK again.

It is very troublesome thing. Another problem is that when I play movies with subtitles from USB, they appear unreadable. I read that they must be in the .srt format and encoding must be UTF-8.

When I convert them a few lines becomes readable and some are not even readable. We use the DTV cable on our device and it is connected to the pit of the WIRELESS INTERNET.

I did all the software updates that were available with the network connection and not a USB drive. Any solution to the gel will be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

As it is a recent purchase, I would consider back for replacement or refund.

  • Greek subtitles from any source for my Toshiba 32L 4333

I thing I tried everything. Another encoding (utf8, ansi, unicode), different formats, different sources (usb, dlna) subtitles but it seems I can't do (Greek) subtitles are displayed.

I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions?

As much as I know, that subtitles don't are not supported via DLNA.

But play video files from USB, it should be possible to activate the subtitles.
Video files must be in the format of MKV file. Subtitles should be stored in the srt file in the movie folder. The srt file also supports the UTF-8 format.

Select UTF-8 standard, text editor such as Notepad ++.
Then, you choose the character set and I also choose the option convert to UTF - 8.

  • Satellite U205-S5002: cannot retrieve the Express Media Player after upgrading the HARD drive

So I bought just a new Toshiba Satellite U205-S5002 I love it. One of the great features that interest me was the Express Media Player feature.

My first step was to upgrade the hard disk and 160 GB and 2 GB ram.
I placed the disk and ram in my old laptop and sold it.

Before that I did, I made a copy ghosts and ghost of the hard drive to the new drive. Well come to find out...

Toshiba is not provided with this software preinstalled, so I followed the instructions to burn my recovery disk Express Media Player and the boot on the new disk.
So this is where the saga begins...

After 15-20 seconds, I get a soothing blue screen (NOT of blue BSOD you mind) who says:

    /!\
An error occurred during the recovery of "Express Media Player".
    -------------------------------------------------------
Please pick up the image again from the beginning.
    Press any key to exit.

It is typed exactly as it is on the screen. So, I see some other forums saying: you must have the free space of the disk so I resize the partition that allows 200 MB of space. Always the same... then try 2 GB even... then the 50 GB, same problem...

OK, so obviously not a question of space. I read while I might need to erase the drive... so I delete the partition, this same error... then I run the recovery disk and tell him to wipe the drive, wait 1 1/2 hour, it ends. No dice! So I decide... ok... Well lets try another disk... I have restored my ghost image... and burned the image again... same question... so I decide to the recovery disk and I'll try to reinstall windows in the factory and make a record...

Well, it does not work as well as you think... the image is incomplete... windows works fine... but the c:\Toshiba\ExpressMediaPlayer folder is empty!

I'm happy that I have ghosts my original directory. But I decide allows to Express Media Player a shot more now that I have restored to factory... always the same error... I then decide a trial more... I'll erase drive 1.5 hours, I'll restore from toshiba dvd provided but leaving plenty of space at the end 2 GB (I have a lot about people who tell you to base just around 200 MB)

5 hours later... moment of truth... Well Yes you guessed it... I don't know anything else to try... I have a bad image?
You need one that I can download what has worked for them for sure? Or have - I have completely found myself by replacing the HDD with after market and which is originally a kind of compatibility issue?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

    It s a great story!
I put t know how to start so maybe first some info on the Express media player.

As you said, and has already proposed the Express media player has been preinstalled on the second partition.
If you want to install this media Express on the HARD disk drive, 150-200 MB of free space must be available. This free space must be on the end of the HARD drive and there must be unallocated.
To get these free space on the HARD disk, 3 third-party products should be used as for example the Partitions Magic 8!

I'm not going to write a story how to recover the Express media player because Toshiba has already created useful documents, which described complete installation!
I found these documents in the knowledge base of computer Toshiba:

  • Windows Media Player starts late

Hi all, I'm having a problem with Windows Media Player. When I start Windows Media Player, my computer starts just lagging out. As in everything which is open will show "Not responding" to the Summit. I figured out it just Windows Media player does. Like right now, I ask this question, Windows Media Player has been arrested. No lag whatsoever. Thank you.

    a. you get a specific error message?

Let us try the following methods one by one and check if they help in the successful launch of Windows Media Player.

    Method 1.
I would recommend you to rebuild the database of Windows Media Player and see if the problem is resolved.

    Here's how:
To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
    3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    Method 2.
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files.
To do this, follow these steps:
    1. exit Windows Media Player.
    2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.
    3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    4. restart Windows Media Player.

    Method 3.
I also suggest you to re-record the files related to Windows Media Player.

  • Toshiba 50L7335DF: problems to play 1080 p mkv files using media player

    Hello

    _The facts_
I have problems to read files mkv (H264, AC3 5.1) 1080 p via the media player on a USB drive (USB is formatted NTFS)

The video begins and is OK for a few seconds/minutes, and then it becomes jerky.
    (the subtitles were on)

I also found that the menus are generally very slow on this TV...

I also had some problems with subtitles:
-they were not displayed on a single video (tested OK with VLC on my laptop ubuntu)
    - and on the other, they showed too fast, I want to say it have been synchronized, but they disappeared fast after displayed.
-one this second video, I got a few square character displayed at the beginning of some lines (maybe an encoding problem, I'll try to understand by myself)
    - And finally, the submarines are truncated at the beginning and at the end of some very long sentences on a single line.

    _So questions: _
-Is powerful enough to manage movies mkv 1080 p TV?
N ' matter what official NTFS support soon? (and don't tell me to FAT32... I know that the limitation of 4 GB, which is sad on 1080 p HD mkv...)
-No recommendation for the encoding format presentations?
    -How to solve garbled subtitles?
-There's a subtitle settings (font, size, duration, time)?

Y at - it an update of the firmware fix fo preparation menus speed or one of these superior facts?

    Thanks ;)

You can use the editor like notepad ++ to choose the option to convert it to UTF-8 format.

  • Strange problem with Toshiba Express Media Player on Satellite M115-S3094

I am facing a strange problem in my Toshiba M115-S3094, which has been pre-installed with Windows XP Media Center edition and which also had the Toshiba Express Media Player.

I had already done a clean install of Vista on it, and then I decided to go back to XP with my recovery DVDs. I did the same procedures of first installation Express Media Player to backup (that I did when I bought the laptop) and then installing Windows XP DVD de Toshiba Recovery XP.

    The steps included:
1 deleted recovery Express media player disk partitions
    2. installed express media player
3 extracted Xp Recovery DVD, by selecting 'Recover without changing the Partitions' (there is no expert mode)

Everything was fine (i.e. installation)... But now, after the turning off my laptop I press the Express Media Center button, the logo "Express Media Player" appears on the screen after loading of closures of laptop for 5 seconds.

I tried to open it again and again, but the logo is displayed for 5 seconds and then my laptop stop...

Laptop works fine when I connect to windows by pressing the power button / stop.

Can someone help me on this strange question... ?

    Hello

The whole story is a bit confusing
First of all, I would like to know if your laptop is already preinstalled with the Media Express Player and if you were able to use it on your laptop in the past.

    Now something about the Express Media Player installation;
In order to use the media functions Express the Mediaplayer Express Recovery CD must be performed before performing the recovery from the recovery DVD-ROM products.

In addition, on the HARD drive should at least 150-200 MB of free space available.
This free space must be on the end of the HARD drive and there must be unallocated. To get these free space on party products 3rd HARD drive should be used as Partitions Magic 8.

I m not 100% sure that on error ID system badly but maybe it corresponds to the DMI evil information stored on the motherboard. If we're not DMI, you will not be able to reinstall Express Media player using the recovery media express CD.
In the DMI must be set properly the manufacturing: Toshiba, product name: for example by Satellite M115-S30

Finally and most importantly, I found this thread useful forum on the Media Express recovery procedure:

  • Toshiba 32W2333 - how to use "User" preset mode USB Media Player

    Hello

    I recently bought a Toshiba 32W2333.
I am satisfied with the quality, but can not get a correct picture in USB drive mode.

The 'Quick' button does not work in this mode, but I can choose the picture preset menu.
the main problem is that each preset gives me oversatured colors and black and white differences...

The "Movie" mode looks great, but it's much too dark!
I would use my "User" custom mode to render similar but brighter, but I can't select it in USB mode...

The version of the installed package is 1.05.09 (MP), November 6, 2013, and I've yet to find it on the site Web of Toshiba...
It was installed by default, and I tried to reset the settings of the TV, withotu success.

So, is it possible to use preset in the drive Media USB "user"?
Or is there a way to custom, the 'film' preset directly (without saving it as a 'User' mode')?

Or maybe what Toshiba should do a firmware update to be able to select in Media Player?
(it seems that it is not the only relevant model)

    Thank you.

Recommend checking the [user manual Toshiba W2333. | http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/W2333-32-English.pdf]

On page 45, you will find all the details about USB movie playback mode

Press MENU and by selecting the picture mode will provide options to improve the quality of the image.
I guess that other parameters are not available while watching films of USB support.

  • Recovery of Toshiba Express Media Player

I replaced my 100 GB HDD (Toshiba made, which included Toshiba Express Media Player by default factory) with 320 GB of HDD (Toshiba). I want to install Toshiba EMP.

When I boot from the recovery EMP disc has received this message:
Recovery is not supported on this system. Press any key to exit. (my ultimate Windows 7 x 64 operating system)
Also I have this message on the old HARD drive. Also the operating system Windows 7 x 64 Ultimate & Windows XP Professional x 86.
When I install different operating systems (Red Hat, Debian) on my old job to drive HARD Toshiba EMP & not removed even if I deleted the partitions & etc.
I've updated my BIOS version of 3.00 to 5.60 to install Windows 7 a few years ago.

    Perhaps the BIOS hinder?

If I m remembering well Toshiba offered this media player there is the old models like Satellite 5200 10 years so I m asking me what model of laptop you have exactly.

What of more confusing, is that you use Win7. Something wrong here.

You have to model more recent laptop and want to use this old piece of software or you have enough old laptop designed for Windows XP Home edition and use Win7 on it. I m confusing.

Currently, Toshiba offered recovery disk disk Toshiba Express Media Player and recovery for Windows XP Home edition and only the use of these two discs worked well. Now mix installation Toshiba Express Media Player with dual boot... I really put t know if it will work.

Main problem is that you will have problem to find someone who can test it for you. Let's see.

    Hello

I want to install Linux on a Satellite M60-170 (thus transforming part of NTFS partitions in other systems of files) without erasing/reformatting the Partition of Express built-in Media Player.

I don't see 2 Partitions using Partition Magic 8, predefined Microsoft (NTFS) 37 GB each on the hard drive of 80 GB.
I read on the forum that the Express Media Player is a T88 204 MB partition system.
How to see where this partition is located or do you know where it should be?

(Partition Magic reported an error right after the end of the 1st partition, sector 7815624; the 2nd NTFS(1st extended) begins at the 78156288 sector: I expect that the Express media Player is a 2nd primary partition located between 2 NTFS partitions, but I would be sure.)

I m not 100% sure, but I think that the Media Express hidden partition is placed at the end of the hard drive.
I found information that the disk HARD should at least 150-200 MB of free space must be available.

  • question about Sony media player RMT-D302 formats

First of all, I hope this is the correct area of the forum to post this question.

A: the media player Sony RMT-D302

I'm reading a blu - ray movie, I have it on a file to MKV format, and this is the total of 8 GB.

the problem is that the traditional BACK file format accommodates apparently NOT a file of this size.

I think that one of the new file BACK formats can handle a file of this size, BUT the problem is I don't think that the Sony drive can work with this particular file format.

Eventually, there was a sort of firmware update that allows the player to manage the different formats, I should check it.

To summarize: what do you recommend to play a great blu - ray movie on the media player from Sony?

    Thank you!

    w

    Hello W,
If you took your movies at home and them encoded to MKV format code please your movie again in a M2TS format to watch on your Blu - Ray player. the model of your drive is important, because some won't recognize FAT32 disks that have an upper limit of 4 GB. Some newer readers recognize NTFS, so the correct answer is dependent on the player.
