Question of memory

I opened the back of the laptop (HP 15-f039wm) and saw this. It is a 4 GB key, with a right to the same housing next to him. This slot machine seems however that none of his bindings to support a second stick. So is this just slot nothing now then? And if so, is their by chance a version 8 GB of the wand on the photo here? Offered by HP or otherwise?

Thank you

This isn't a slot of memory just the place on the motherboard where higher versions at the end of the same motherboard have a second slot memory actually built on. The image has a bit of glare, so I can't read the writing on the white label or on the memory stick, but yes, it can accept a single module of memory 8 GB in a slot there. We can help you to find one at a reasonable price. Wal-Mart models are special created using components also used on portable end superiors but defeatured so they can be sold at the lowest price possible.

Your laptop uses SO-DIMM DDR3L-1600, like this:

    Nice day

The reason for the question is that Rectron South Africa said that the A100-599 comes with the memory modules 2x512mb and not with 1x1Gb as indicated on the Toshiba site. Rectron advice for the purchase of 2 x 1 GB memory but not refund not 2x512mb memory, thus leaving pay you 2 x what you will actually use.

Please just confirm the A100-599, sold in South Africa are indeed with 2x512mb or 1 GB as shown on the site.

I think that the laptop came with 1 GB memory module in a slot.

  • M30-832: Questions about memory and DVD player

Hi all, new to laptops up to have a few questions! First of all, I have a Satellite M30-832.
    1. He has on the dvd player on the side of the Compact disk with re-writable below image and sign dvd R/RW under. That means it is a DVD burner as well? It does not sem to recognize blank DVDs and I was under the impression that it should be possible to write about them!

    2. can I upgrade the memory with memory DDR - RAM modules or does take a special type? And how to change them!

    Thank you very much

    Hi Richard,

From what I can find your M30 832 is equipped with a DVD burner so you should be able to burn DVDs (the specification says you can only burn at X 1 speed for DVDs).

You should be able to update your RAM to a maximum of 2 GB and I recommend you buy a quality mark to avoid any problems. Your user manual should have details on how to change the RAM modules, but generally it will be to remove a panel of access (usually on the bottom of the unit) and then releasing it two clips (one on each side of the RAM modules) plastic spring-loaded and gently raising the output modules.

Please make sure that you either wear a wristband anti-statuc dirt or this earth you yourself before accessing RAM modules. They are very sensitive to electrostatic.

You can find suppliers of RAM suitable if you GOOGLE 'M30 832 RAM.

  • Question of memory module - Qosmio F10

Half of the year there, I changed the motherboard of Qosmio f10 PCB p000415760 to p000454980 (F10) of PCBs.
When I get back any computer laptop I had a "RECORD OF INFORMATION TOSHIBA" who is after point 2:
2 confirm the compatibility of the memory modules
one. Some problems have been found with combination of the chipset Intel 915 PM EXPRESS and some memory modules.
So you have to check what type of expansion memory is installed in the customer unit.
    b. Exchange an incompatible module with a PC 2700 DDR SODIMM (333 MHz) for module Alviso.

This means that I have to change the memory module that was on the old Alviso module 855 chipsets?
If so what type of memory should I get? Buy DDR2 for this motherboard?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    With your questions

Half of the year there, I changed the motherboard of Qosmio f10 PCB p000415760 to p000454980 (F10) of PCBs.
It's the card used for the Qosmio F15 AV201 model we. TOSHIBA motherboard (special), A5A001749010 (PM0025960010).

    > Means that I have to change the memory module that was on the old Alviso module 855 chipsets?
No, if you use the module in memory of the former Intel 855 chipset to the new Intel 915 and try no problems, there is no need to change.
When he says PC 2700 DDR SODIMM, this means that the type of memory to use. In this case, with a frequency of 333 MHZ, taken in charge by the 915 chipset. The brand is your choice.

    > If yes what type of memory should I get?
The most often used with the Intel 915 are the Infineon PC 2700 DDR SODIM, but Samsung memory modules work fine, too.
The best are the Corsair and Kingston (512 MB and 1 GB) and the most expensive modules.

    > Buy DDR2 for this motherboard?
No, you cannot use the DDR2 modules with your motherboard F10. They are different fisically and performance at different frequencies, too.

  • HP Envy 700-216 graphics Office Questions setting memory

My computer, running Windows 8.1, has an A-10, with graphics card GPU in the HD 8670 D processor.  I know that it uses system memory.  I have found that it was using 768 MB on the 12 GB PC12800 RAM (1600).  I don't know where, or whether it is possible to adjust so that it uses more memory to my system.

Would be really useful to use a bit more, because I doubt I'll be close to everything medium anyway?  Can I pay, is it possible?  I tried looking in almost all settings, but don't see anything to get to this setting.   I noticed some things seem to take the activation in the BIOS, but not knowing what they did exactly, I wouldn't change a thing.  Also, I looked through catalyst and saw nothing there either, to adjust.

One of the reasons for which I had a processor A-10 (a series) is that I read later, you can add a graphics card, and that she would work with the GPU graphics to make for a better combined graphical experience.  But I noticed in the specifications of the motherboard (MS - 7778 Jasmine) the comment "If PCI-E card is installed you will have not yet boarded Graphics '   or something of the sort.  I was wondering what this means you cannot plug into these jacks on the motherboard, or the graphical part of the A-10 processor will just dormant?

Any help on these questions would be useful, as well as suggestions of the best PCI-E graphics to get.  I have a power supply 550 Watt here somewhere - just need to find and check to see if it has all the appropriate Sockets.  Thank you!

    James

    J_Mike, welcome to the forum.

Video Ingrated will use as much memory system as needed up to 1 GB, I think.  You don't have to adjust.

Yes, the embedded video is disabled if you install a discrete video card.  However, it is not negative.  A discrete video card will improve performance as well.

The 550W PSU will be good for one of the new intermediate level video cards.  Most of them requires a minimum of 400 w to work properly.

  • Question upgrade memory for HPE h8 - 1360t

    A month ago, I bought an I7-3770 HPE h8 - 1360 t which had 8 G of memory installed.

    The product is described here:

    http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?SKU=067371

It has Windows 7 professional 64-Bit.   Up here, no change in hardware or software.

My question is, what is the maximum memory that can be installed.

According to the page specification of motherboard, 'Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB DIMM' - 'supports up to 32 GB on 64 bit systems.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03132942

But according to the upgrade and maintenance Guide, "16.0 GB" memory installable using 4 GB Modules

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&DLC=en&docName=c03132942&LC=en&product=52616...

The models listed in the upgrade and maintenance guide is not the exact model, but it seems that the same thing.   And of course the motherboard, IPMMB-FM, looks like the correct motherboard.

So who is the maximum memory that can take this machine?  If it is only 16 GB, then the motherboard specification page is incorrect?  And if the motherboard page is correct and that the machine however is limited to 16 GB, which is to limit the maximum memory, if this is not the motherboard?

    Hello

IPMMB-FM (Formosa) in your PC motherboard supports 32 GB.

I suspect that the documentation has been published before HP started offering 8 GB DIMM desktop PC.

The part of the similar model PC using the same motherboard can be configured up to 32 GB with 8 GB DIMMs.

The laptop may or may not start in Windows.

Upgrade memory in a non-standard way (best practices), it's always a bit of a crap shoot.

Welcome to the community - with VMware Workstation you are limited to the amount of memory installed on the host computer - by the documentation of the work - station

The total amount of memory you can assign to all virtual machines running on a single host machine is

  • Satellite C50D - A - 13 G - question about memory GPU

    Finishing bought the new laptop, TOSHIBA C50D - A - 13 G, but I have a little problem.
    It says in the description
(Graphics card: AMD APU A6-5200 with graphic AMD Radeon HD 8400 card)
Graphics card memory: up to 4090 MB)
but I do not have how to allocate this memory, I tried the BIOS, but the option to allocate memory is not listed there.

    Help, please

In the specification is clearly described:
    > amount memory: up to 4 090 MB shared memory with 8 GB of installed system memory and up to 8 186 MB with 16 GB of memory system (with the operating system pre-installed 64-bit Windows®).
With other words: with more RAM your GPU will use more memory.
It works automatically and you can not change anything.

So if you want to have more memory GPU you need to upgrade RAM.

  • Satellite Pro 4600: question strange memory - memory seems

    Hi all

for the second time in 18 months, I have strange problems with cards of memory (2 x 256 MB 144-Dimm PC133) of my satellite pro 4600: from one day to the other, the memory seems to reach "grilled" as the old light bulbs. Before that I used the satellite pro 4600 for several hours and the surface on the maps of memory had very hot.
Y at - it anyone out there facing the same problems? On the replacement: should I better go for chips PC100 PC133 instead?

    PA3004U - 1 M 06 64 MB MEMORY KIT
    PA3005U - 1 M 12 128 MB MEMORY KIT
    KIT MEMORY OF 256 MB PA3069U - 1 M 25

    It seems that PA3069U - 1 M 25 256 MB PC100 module.
Well, as you have suggested that memory cards got very hot. In my opinion the fastest PC133 produce a high temperature, and this could be a problem.
