  • ITunes and questions of mp3 to blackBerry Smartphones

    Ok. Here's the deal. I have a Pearl 8130 from Verizon. I found that the more reliable format is mp3 downloading music to the card. I have 2 problems. The first is that whenever I try to run media from the Desktop Manager, it tells me that I need to reinstall the program, what I've done at least 3 times now, and it has never actually allowed me to manage my media files with the desktop program. Everything else on the program works very well. In fact, I could back up my device several times with no headaches.

    I took the addition of mp3 for music by hand for this reason player, and he worked very well until today. I downloaded a few files from iTunes (first and last time, if I can't understand the problem). I had read that the device can support aac or mp3 files, so I was not too concerned when the files are aac format. I copied them to my music folder, and it does not appear in my list. I converted the files in mp3 format, they still do not appear in my list. Files do not appear to be protected, so I'm confused as to what is the problem and I'm pretty limited on what I know how to do, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Try this,

    Remove the battery with the phone turned on, set aside a few seconds and replace. This will force a rescan of your media and all the songs should appear in the list.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community Forums!

    If I understand the question, digital mp3 player is not detected on the computer. Please let me know if this is not correct.

    Before I continue with the troubleshooting steps I may need a few more details to better understand the issue.
    1. what operating system do you use?
    2. do you receive any error messages?
    3. are you having the same problem with other USB devices?
    4. have you tried plugging the machine into the other USB Ports?
    5. did you of recent changes on the computer before this problem?
    6. What is the serial number and model of the MP3 player?
    Method 1:
    We will first try to plug in other USB Ports and on another computer to make sure that there is no problem with the digital mp3 player.
    Method 2:
    If the first method does not resolve the problem, run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter and check if it helps.
    Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

  • Update the firmware on Mac. Help, please.

    I've searched for quite awhile and has trouve.22 for mac update .zip file. However, I can't find the last file from .zip to update firmware for mac. You could someone please give me a link for that?

    Even tried it on Windows, but the update will fail. I have read many post saying "forget the updater, do it manually." How to do when I can't find the update file?

    Please help me guys.

    Another question, some Mp3 files appear on the "rocket" but do not play. The "rocket" ignores the files about 50 who play very well on the computer. Why is this?

    The Zip file is not specific to the platform. The way I unzipped stuff on my old Mac OS (granted, I was using the old OS 9, so it may be different for you) was using StuffIt Expander. If you do it this way, you should be fine.

  • 2 questions about short mp3 files playback

    I am installing a Snd simple class to encapsulate the sound effects, I can do this:

    SND sound = new Snd ();

    sound.throwSwitch ();   Plays a switch short audio mp3

    So, after reviewing the RIM and other examples of Iam work try this:

    import java.io.InputStream;
    Javax.microedition.media import. *;

    public class {Snd

    Private player player;

    Find the supported content types
    public static final String types [] = Manager.getSupportedContentTypes (null);

    public void throwSwitch() {}
    Makes a click
    for (cnt int = types.length - 1; cnt > = 0; cnt-) {}
    If (types [cnt].equals("audio/mpeg")) {}
    try {}
    Get the MP3 file
    Class clazz = Class.forName ("net.berrysoft.dib.sound");
    InputStream is = clazz.getResourceAsStream ("switch.mp3");
    InputStream is = getClass () .getResourceAsStream ("switch.mp3");

    Create an instance of the reader of the InputStream
    Reader = javax.microedition.media.Manager.createPlayer (, "audio/mpeg" "");
    Player.Realize ();
    Player.prefetch ();
    Player.Start ();            Start the player
    Manager.playTone (0 x 45, 2000, 100);
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    e.printStackTrace ();
    }
    }
    } / / end: for
    }

    }

    but I don't get all the sounds.  I checked that the mp3 format is supported and loaded the sound of my press card and he played like a ring tone without problem.

    What could I do it wrong?

    Second question is that in the past (other languages), I had two ways to play a sound... one as a "one-shot" meaning not listened and streaming (used for sounds at large to hold entirely in memory).  In Java there is this distinction?  It seems that the above code transmissions my sound, but she is so short, she could be held entirely in memory.  It is played only once (at the start), but I wonder given it's such an effect short if there is a better way.

    Patrick

    Here is an example that works. In the example, the generated COD file is com_foo_Foobar, Foobar is the root for the COD file directory and Foobar.java is the main application class. The MP3 is at the root of the directory "/" the COD file. Notice the "Class.forName" call and how not intuitive that the root is specified in the parameter of this string. It took me quite a few tries until I thought about it.

        public void play()
        {
            if (m_player != null){
                stop();
            }

            try {
                Class cl = Class.forName("com.foo.Foobar.Foobar");
                InputStream input = cl.getResourceAsStream("/foonoise.mp3");
                m_player = Manager.createPlayer(input,"audio/mpeg");
                m_player.realize();
                m_volumeControl = getVolumeControl(m_player);
                if (m_volumeControl != null)
                    m_volumeControl.setLevel(m_volume);
                m_player.prefetch();
                m_player.start();
            }
            catch (Exception e){
                System.out.println("ERR: " + e.toString());
            }

  • Questions about all your MP3 players, because I want to buy a Sandisk, but that

    Hello

    I'm French so sorry for my English, and I didn't know where to post my message. I hope this is the best place for it on the forum.
    My Sansa Clip + is under warranty, and I'm getting a bad contact with the output jack. I think I'm going to replace my drive soon and I want an MP3 of Sandisk player.

    I was wondering:

    (1) what is the difference between the Sansa Clip and Sansa Clip +? The ability to insert the SD card?
    (2) why Sansa Clip + 4 GB is more expensive than the Sansa Clip + 8 GB? OO.
    (3) I saw today that I can install software such as Rockbox on my MP3 player. If I install Rockbox, I keep the warranty?
    (4) why buy a Clip of Sansa Jam rather than a Sansa Clip + or Sansa clip sport? Or, what is the difference between all your MP3 players (Sansa clip, Sansa clip +, jam Sansa, Sansa sport clip, Sansa Fuze, Sansa clip zip)?

    It is important, because I have to make a choice

    (1) lock and SD card pass instead of the screen lock button.

    (2) the prices are pretty random since players have not been made over the years now.

    (3) probably not, but assuming that you uninstall I doubt it's important.

    (4) the jam/sports are kind of terrible in general, although the battery life is better, at least without rockbox on older players.

  • Mac question? -Duplicate file names appear once I have copy on mp3s

    It seems that although the Compatible Mac box, it was a stretch far from easy to use or Setup for a non techno.

    I figured out how to import a CD on ITunes and convert it to an mp3. Then copy it to the "rocket".

    But my problem is when I copy a song or an entire album, when I turn on the "rocket", it shows duplicate songs and duplicates are in the Unreconizable folder and do not work.

    This can become very confusing. Anyone has any ideas on how to import MP3s on a mac without getting these ghosts / duplicate files?

    If I can't understand, I guess I'll try to return it and get an IPod. No use to me like that.

    Help, please. I want to keep that player.

    Your problem is that you used the Finder to copy files to the player.  Who creates the files 'duplicate' which are really containing of Finder metadata files.  They lead the players nuts.

    I wrote a web page describing this problem and how to get an MP3 as the "rocket" to work with the Mac.  See http://guyscharf.wordpress.com/mp3-on-macintosh/ for more details.

  • Questions, import to iTunes Mp3 songs into Windows Movie Maker

    Original title: Windows movie maker, import the music from itunes

    So I did a movie and I'm trying to upload music to add to the movie. so, I've converted my songs in mp3 on itunes and try importing them and an error message appears saying iTunes\iTunes 1.mp3 Music\Minutemen\Double Nickels on the Dime\19 Corona could not be imported. then what should I do?

    Hi eragon787976,

    Some audio and video file formats are not supported in Windows Movie Maker and cannot be imported. However, if you have a video or audio file that is not taken care of, you can use a non-Microsoft video editing software to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker, and then import the video file or an audio resulting in Windows Movie Maker. Some files also require you to install a codec before you can use the files in Windows Movie Maker.

    Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    Windows Movie Maker uses. WAV file formats and Apple's iTunes use it. AAC format.

    You can also try saving iTunes songs in the. WAV format instead of Mp3 format and check.

  • onSoundComplete MP3 & quot; Reset & quot; question

    Hello. Any help is greatly appreciated. I worked hard to get this working by roaming the net forever, and it works well, except for a final touch.

    I have two MP3s that I played as background music on my site. They broadcast automatically at startup of the site, and it works. A play, when it's done, the second begins. Then it stops. I had a little problem with the second a restart (loop), so I added the last piece of code //my_sound.onSoundComplete = function () {my_sound.stop () / / to prevent that, and that works fine.}

    My problem is twofold. First, the stop button does not work at all. It does nothing (and it worked fine until I added this piece of code 'my_sound.stop'. If I remove this code, the stop button works again, but the second MP3 goes back into loop mode.) What I'm wanting to accomplish a simple code as possible, as both have MP3s playing one after the other and then stops. Of course the stop button would do it's thing, and with the Start button, I need, once the two MP3s were completed, to 'reset' so if you click on it after playing all MP3s, he will leave with the first MP3. At the present time, if the first MP3 plays and you click Start, it takes the first MP3 and if you hit the departure during the second MP3 playing, he starts the second MP3 (I like the way that it works.) but when they both end, and there is no music, if you click Start It only reads the second MP3, not the first. Make sense? Hopefully, I can be confusing. Here's the code. Thank you very much! :-)

    its code.
    var my_sound:Sound = new Sound();
    my_sound.loadSound ("Morningstar.mp3", true);
    my_sound.onSoundComplete = function () {}
    my_sound. Stop();
    my_sound.loadSound ("Limpid.mp3", true);
    my_sound. Start();
    my_sound.onSoundComplete = function () {my_sound.stop)
    };
    };

    code on Start button.
    on (release) {}
    my_sound. Start();
    }

    code on the stop button.
    on (release) {}
    my_sound. Stop();
    }

    Yes, it won't work because your sound continuously.

  • Great list of 'How To' Questions

    I am a newbie to iTunes learn the tricks of the trade, and I learned a lot of ed2345, who led me to still more questions:

    1. a few songs that I managed to acquire have nothing in the kind column. So that this information will be available on the impressions of my playlists, is there a way I can key this information in me?

    2. I was unhappy to see small numbers began to appear to the left of the names of my songs, and I'm sure that must have been added when I said to organize my library. Is there a way I can get rid of them now?

    3 re the small icons 'cloud' next to my name of the song: one with the line through it saying "duplicate". If I delete one of them, I will always have it on my PC? (This whole business of some things being only in iCloud I do not understand yet.)

    4. a few other icons 'cloud' have an exclamation in them, which means that it is not able to be downloaded to iCloud due to an error. In all cases, there are an extra copy of the file in my library. Is this the reason why it didn't download?

    5. I'm fighting a lot to try to understand how certain things can be on iCloud and others do not. I mainly paid my $25 to Match service so I could keep transfer my playlists (and songs) to other computers on my LAN House (at this point, I don't have an iPad, iPhone or etc..). Now, I noticed that in the preferences that I can share my share my library on my network, which is an Ethernet wired with 4 PC and a Mac. If I check that box library share will I still game?

    6. on the other hand, if I want to share a playlist with a friend who has iTunes, I would want to use game for this?

    7. Finally, I know especially with PCs; I just bought the Mac this month. I find it there any equivalent to the files of Microsoft Explorer, except on an external hard drive, I connected to it. Specifically, I can't find the directory structure accessed by iTunes - a feature that could be very useful for me, for example in the collection in a single folder the files of one kind or a particular type (for example MP3). We're not supposed to do that?

    I hope that the answers to these questions will be useful to others, too.

    Thank you.

    1. You can use Get Info and enter the relevant information yourself. Select the album or the titles you want to edit and press CMD + I (Mac) or Ctrl + I (Windows).
    2. You see these numbers in a separate column in iTunes or in the name column, or in the Finder? ITunes is generally tracks numbers which are useful for playback of tracks in an album in the correct order. In some cases where the unmarked files are imported into iTunes, for example those in .wav format, numbers in the file name will become the name of the track in iTunes and other properties such as artist or album will be missing.
    3. See on iCloud library icons and status - Apple Support. If your support is not entirely possible that different versions of the same track are treated as duplicates so that they should not be. If you have duplicates real then they should be cleaned.
    4. Once again see on iCloud library icons and status - Apple Support. This indicates an error with a load of attempt.
    5. iTunes game is a great service if you want to replace any old purchases DRM with DRM 256 k new releases, like on the continuous access go to the entire library of your iOS devices or keep libraries iTunes on two remote sites in sync without manually copying files to and from portable hard drives. If the goal is simply to move a library from one computer to another, it's usually better achieved by copying the folder iTunes set to a portable player and then copying it in the new computer. A network share can also be used.
    6. You can't easily share a playlist with a friend. Normally iTunes playlists are sorted in lists of references to tracks in your library. They work only import if all the tracks already exist in the same paths that stored in the list. Having said that this is something which can be done in a certain measure with music from Apple, because each user has access to a common library of streaming content from the iTunes Store and their rights to listen to it.
    7. Equivalent of the Mac of the Explorer Windows is called Finder. It should be pretty easy to find. Macs are more lenient if you move the files in the same volume, but usually don't. Let iTunes manage physical files on disk when you store the logical organisation within the library. See make a split portable library for images of the typical presentation of the iTunes library. The images come from Windows, but the General layout on a Mac is the same.

  • Playlist... want to mp3 only

    I got a new car that I can connect a USB key in.

    I created a playlist that I copied on the USB.

    It's playlist is composed of different formats (as is my iTunes library) and the car will only play mp3 files.

    Question: How can I create a playlist in iTunes that consists ONLY of the mp3 files?

    In iTunes, open preferences. On the general tab, select Import settings. Select MP3 encoder and click OK, then select OK again. Select the Playlist you want to edit, and then select all the songs in the Playlist. Then select file > convert. Once this is done, you have two versions of each song will convert in the playlist and your iTunes music library.

  • Two (or more) mp3 files for a song? can I delete one of them?

    Hello world

    I use iTunes 12.4.3.1 on iMac with OS X El Capitan.

    I recently created a "parallel" to the MP3 playlist for a playlist with about 100 titles, because I need to burn it to CD. So far so good.  No doubt, I made some kind of mistake, and now I've discovered that, for each mp3 track have have two or more files.  They do NOT appear as duplicates.  Duplicates show two versions of the song, such as AAC and the other in mp3 format.  As in the following screenshot.

    But if I select the song mp3 (the one with 160 Kbps) and click on 'Show in finder' I get the following THREE files:

    The "right" one is that with time later and the '1' in the name, I know using the option "information" on the song.

    so now the questions are:

    (a) how it happened?

    (b) is it possible to find ALL these duplicates and delete them?

    (c) in the case, can I delete them manually without risk to my music library?

    I am relatively new to Apple, I will be grateful for all the advice

    Best regards

    Claudio

    (a) you can know with certainty, but my guess is that you have made a conversion like this before, and then deleted the new songs in the library after use, without deleting the corresponding files in the press kit at the same time. When iTunes tries to make a new copy by using the standard file naming scheme there is already a file it if it adds etc. '1' or '2' that required such file until it can make a new file name. (In some scenarios, it starts with "2" but I can't remember which).

    (b) use file > add to library, and select the iTunes Media folder. Anything not currently connected to iTunes is added to the library. Use file > library > show duplicate items > same Album to an exact replica of the list. Sort on Date added. Remove duplicates added only today. Send messages deleted to the trash.

    (c) see b). Manual removal is usually difficult and prone to error. You must be sure that the file you are deleting is not that the library is connected to. It may not always be apparent from the date or name.

    There are a set of circumstances in which multiple entries of the library can be connected to a single file. If there is a risk that this then some extra to take when removing care needs, but this is not a problem in the scenario described and the given solution addresses only the physical dupes who are in the media folder and are not currently connected to iTunes.
