  I installed IIS and then installed 10.1.3.2.2 OBIEE. The installation was successful, and to restart the OC4J was also started successfully. However, when I hover over submission Services on the start menu, I see the url http:/localhost/analytics and when I click on that I can't see the login screen. . I think I should be able to see the url http://localhost:9704 / analytics. How can I solve this problem?

  No here is a simple way... no need to work in EM...

  Go to the properties of Présentation Services menu option Oracle Business Intelligence :

  In the Web Document tab, replace the URL... simple as that...

• Failed to open the service in OBIEE presentation page

  I'm new to OBIEE and having difficulty finding it. I have all the services - BI Server, BI BI Java host running presentation server and OC4J began. I'm still not able to open the page of presentation-"http://localhost:9704 / analytics. It gives me error "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

  Murali, could you just give a little more information, it's a stand alone facility, which means that you have installed the BI server and everything else on the laptop?
  Are you using OC4J or a different web server, did you start OC4J services as well as the windows service for presentation BI services?

  I just got an email saying my app "is approved however will have to stay in the"Approved"State until the questions below are corrected."

  On this basis, I have 2 questions:

  Q1: does this mean that I am accepted for the offer of playbook? (I submitted before the deadline and received a previous email on this remind me to sign the app)

  Q2: it says that the problem is that I don't have an icon - "please you check the App icon, it doesn't seem to show when loading on a playbook."- but on my end, when I test everything seems fine. Any ideas why this happens?

  Sorry I can't speak on behalf of the App World approval team.  They will provide guidance on your acceptance of the offer of the playbook.

  Regarding your question on the icons, what size and file format you use for your icon?  Make sure it is a PNG 86 x 86 file, otherwise it can not be made on the home screen (can appear invisible if the correct size is used).

• OBIEE presentation services do not come on the recreation of the role Application BISystem

  I accidentally deleted BISystem role of Application of Console. But, went through couple of posts and recreated the Application role, and characterized by the BISystemUser to the role.

  In short, I did the procedure below.

  1. stop BI Service

  2. create a role and a member with the user BISystem

  3. Add the policy to the role

  •Oracle.bi.Scheduler.manageJobs

  •Oracle.bi.Server.queryUserPopulation, it not appear in the list you can add it manually using following parameter

  permission class: oracle.security.jps.ResourcePermission

  Resource type: oracle.bi.server.permission

  Name of the resource: oracle.bi.server.queryUserPopulation

  Action: subject

  • oracle.bi.server.impersonateUser, it does not appear in the list you can add it manually using following parameter

  permission class: oracle.security.jps.ResourcePermission

  Resource type: oracle.bi.server.permission

  Name of the resource: oracle.bi.server.impersonateUser

  • oracle.bi.server.manageRepositories

  • EPM_Essbase_Administrator

  But I can't launch the presentation BI Services login page.

• Variable of OBIEE presentation

  Hello

  I am facing problem with calculations using the variable of presentation used in the formula in the column on the reports.

  The report is generated correctly for the first time using the variable of presentation.

  But when I change the value of the field in the command prompt, the variable of presentation does not get applied to the report and I explicitly click on the Refresh button to generate the report with good results.

  Any ideas to fix this please?

  Is it possible to highlight from presentation catalog records of their relationship?

  For example:

  If we have 5 records catalog:

  A

  B

  C

  D

  E

  A is attached to the B & C records...

  If a user select a field in a record, can, we highlight the B & C records that are related to A.  This will help users make Ad hoc communications.

  Use custom Description function. When the mouse on the file, it will be the show "Table A is related to B, C" like that.

  I am facing a problem with the variable behavior of presentation.

  I'm having a problem where if I use the variables of presentation of a line of dashboard in two reports in the dashboard, its gives me the same results for the two reports.

  -WS_Origin1

  -WS_Destn1

  are two variables of presentation in the dash prompt. I use these two reports

  Report of departure and Destination

  where origin = @{WS_Origin1} and Destn = @{WS_Destn1}

  Second report

  Origin-destination report

  where origin = @{WS_Destn1} and Destn = @{WS_Origin1}

  When I select values in the dashboard line say Origination = YYC and Desntination = YOW, reports above give me the same results. When I look at the SQL are filtered even.

  That is to say

  Report of departure and Destination

  where origin = YYC and Destn = YOW

  Second report

  Origin-destination report

  where origin = YYC and Destn = YOW

  (Note: it must be original YOW = and Destn = YYC)

I think I have the solution, I used guests from the column in the line of dash and the same columns were also using in reports, I changed the variable column guests guests and solved the problem.

• Different points of view static based on Variable OBIEE presentation

  We have 4 reports with content static from different point of view. All these reports are on the same page of dashboard. How can I show only 1 report based on the value of a variable presentation set via a command prompt?
  For example:
  
  PromptValue1 should display only Report1
  PromptValue2 should display only Report2
  PromptValue3 should display only report3
  PromptValue4 should display only rapport4
  
  PS: Since I only static content, I can't use a filter.

  1. create cond_report1, cond_report2, cond_report3 and cond_report4 which should return records only when PromptValue1, PromptValue2, PromptValue3 and PromptValue4 are respectively applied

  2. Add the 4 sections and reports in each section

  3. Add the correspondent for the report you created in the first step provided that section for each section of the Properties section and select condition as superior to 0

  I have a variable called P_DATE presentation that reads data from a Calendar Table
  
  In my query BI answers, I would get the data of the previous day, P_DATE.
  
  How can I ask my P_DATE variable an expression to get the yesterday's date
  
  i.e. SELECT DATEADD (day,-1, P_DATE)
  
  Note: The Data Source is a SQL Server database, which is why I use the SQL Server-based functions

  In the given first query, one is in datetype and other is in tank.

  You can use the current_date-1 in the filter no need to go for a variable presentation.
  something like
  SELECT Time.Date saw_0 FROM 'HIS' WHERE Time.Date = current_date-1 ORDER BY saw_0

  Use the criteria-> column-> filter icon tab-> Add--> "SQL Expression" value current_date-1

  When you use variable PS as above, you suppose to cast by converting as Expression SQL
  ex: Time.date = date ' @{PS Variable}' or with default variable date ' @{PS Variable} {2010-01-21}'

  I am curious to understand what exactly happens when you grant permissions users ' reading / writing "on objects of presentation layer? "Read" is self-explanatory... but what exactly 'writing' allows it to do?
