• Pass selected option to a function

  Hi all

  I have a form with an option > etc..., select > <.  The form works fine, but I was not able to pass the value of the option selected to a function that will generate an alert pop-up windows.  Within the function, I want to test the selected option and if you have selected one or more specific options, then generate the alert popup.

  When I run the page code above and select one of the options, the - mbr_scat - words are displayed in the pop-up window.

  When I remove the single quotes around mbr_scat, I get - [objectHTMLSelectElement] - in the context menu.

  Using many variations, I never got the real part of the if statement in the function to work.

  What Miss me?

  You don't need to move from a selected option value or text to a function in order for the text or value in javascript. JavaScript can get the value of the selected option or text to the way to getElementById and the text of selectedIndex (or value) of the item, as shown in the example below.

  I have the CF code that is used with a tag SELECT (multiple attribute), and it seems that the SELECT tag ignores the attribute selected for the options of the child.

  For example, I have the code that will generate the following HTML code:

  The field in parentheses is the text (or drop-down menu or other) you want to display when "Other" is selected and hide when it is not.

  If you want to apply the same logic to several fields just duplicate this line of code, the field name in each copy of setting.

  You have the close option enabled bar, so it can be confusing at first.

  Anyway the left most icon is that of automatic selection

  

  If you want to return to the options bar your opportunity, go to Photoshop > Preferences > Interface and uncheck the box Enable close Bar Options , and then restart photoshop.

  What you reference are called cascading in the drop down menus. You must either store all the values for the second menu in JavaScript or Ajax table allows you to query the database again, from the first selection. Do a Google search to find more information.

  You can access the selected radio button value the id of Group of radio button groups, you don't need to check each radio button individually. Then coneType.selectedValue will give you the value of a button radio is selected in the group, and the coneType.selection.label will give you the label of the currently selected option button or null if none is selected.

I am a regular user of fire fox , previously i sent an issue about search option in fire fox browser,  i am very much happy to see change in the search option in browser recently. Presently i got an issue in browser about select and text box ... i'm not able to view them properly i mean the text is breaking ... sample i opened yahoo browser .. i was shocked to see breakable text .i will attach screen shot if possible. please fix this as soon as possible.

  You can not attach a screenshot in the first row who starts a thread, but you can do it in subsequent responses.

  PS - the code above (just an out-line of code) is not tested because I don't have the same configuration as you and is based on the assumption of how the model of the collection would be, however, the overall logic is how you should approach the question.

  Drop-down list not update even if the html code was changed using the meta refresh tag. The problem has been resolved by deleting the name of the list in the html code in the part of my page refresh. It's a php script, so I can do but with html directly, I don't see a way to solve the problem for others finding this a problem, FF should not do this.
