question of package ID for an existing application

Hello
I can't update my version of the application because of the question 'ID of Package must match ID of Package in the bundle of original file.

I recently updated my laptop and after the upgrade, I published an update and it has been accepted by the world of BB. Its a few months since my last update. I have a new update to my candidacy and now I'm stuck in the question above.

My BBIDToken has expired, so I'm a new to the dev site. saved in a location, and then run the script of "blackberry-signatory" to connect my bbid with KSB files. running the script says ' Info: CSK connected successfully to BBID' but after cleaning and re - compile, file bar is not always be accepted by the world of BB.

I checked my name-package and it corresponds, however, package-id is not, that is the question. I have files from previous bar, can be used in some way to extract the information needed to get the update?

Also, I used 'restore' option in the Configuration of signature BlackBerry with a zip file consisting of barsigner.csk, barsigner.db and author.p12.

BTW, I followed the steps on http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Native-Development/Help-Package-ID-must-match-Package-ID-in-o... but no luck.

Please suggest.

Step 3 must be done once, before starting to use a token created in your BlackBerry ID account  Do you have applications using key method (CSJ) that is earlier than chips BlackBerry code signing ID?  Initially link to your BlackBerry ID Token when you installed everything first he?

By default, the tools uses a BlackBerry ID token if it is present, ignoring the code signing key.  If you have installed the token, signed, and then linked to your previous code signing keys, it would change the package author Id of the BlackBerry ID account to match the original code signing key account.  This could have happened?

Send me a private message with your package-author-Id of your original file BAR and I can watch the account used to sign.

  • Build a package only for the desktop application that allows applications to install?

My organization uses the license serial number. I thought that if I built a set including the designer Cloud Desktop app, using a serial number which grants access to all applications, that the user would be able to install these applications on request. But after installation, when you open the creative Cloud application, it says 'Try' next to all applications. How can I get what I want?

Thanks for the reply. It's already a package serialized, as I mentioned. But your suggestion is largely correct. When you create a package, it seems that even if you use a serial number that covers several applications, the resulting package creates only licenses for the applications in the package.

Here is a procedure that seems especially to accomplish what I want:

    1. Using Packager, build a serialized package. It should include the creative Cloud Desktop application and allow admin users install updates. Don't add any application; It will be built using only the "basic elements".
    2. Using Packager, generate a license file with the serial number that covers the applications users need access to.
    3. On the target computer, install the software package.
    4. On the target computer, run the program AdobeSeralization of the license file package (must have the file prov.xml always in the same directory for easier use).

When you use Creative Cloud Desktop, it will still say 'Try' next to all applications. When you actually install and run applications, they are fully licensed and not in test mode. This applies only to applications that are covered by the license file, of course.

  • Question of HP Utility for Mac security application

I came to know that this forum is for sales, hope, that this is the right place to report this bug. Here is my original post.

Let me describe the situation from the beginning:

We have networked HP printers in all schools and we, as admins, configuration of printers, do not want end users to change on any of them.

On the one hand, from OS X 10.6 - I can't remember clearly is it 10.5, OS X introduced security integrated two system, _lpoperator, and _lpadmin groups, _lpoperator is intended for users who can suspend or resume a print, obviousely _lpadmin as an admin can do something for add/delete/modify printer.

However, administrators can set password admin through the service web printer to limit the ability of end users to muniplate the settings for a printer.

The HP Utility.app is accessible for all users on a Mac, as long as the user can print, see figure 1 below for example:

Once it has opened, the end user, regardless of the user group that is the case, they can go to network settings and change it. This application will not ask for administrator credentials, a user security group, just let user go ahead and do it. View image details of the following:

Don't have gift ' e other tests, if you change other settings of the printer. Network settings are the biggest problem at least.

Of course, there are way to Mac to limit user to launch the application, such as MCX/Workgroup Manager/profile etc, or even remove it.  But it's always a problem of huge security in a network environment, at least here.

You're right - SNMP v3 would give you support for authentication, but only if you have software that supports the v3.

As far as I know, utility HP can only work through v1/v2.

I don't know if Web Jetadmin can use v3, because I've never used this application.

I knew that in the past before Weblogic bought by Oracle, Oracle, always using Oracle application server.
Now with the Weblogic gaining more popularity on the market, which is the product the value of learning and get certified.

Is it still useful to take Application Server 10 g or go with Weblogic. in certification path, Weblogic 10 g.
WebLogic now replaces the Oracle application server, average abandoned Oracle Application Server?

Please enlighten me and thank you for your help

Question if I go for Oracle WebLogic Server 10 g Administrator Certified Expert System it will be good to work with 11g thus?

Make it part of the same system (now). Like WebLogic is the portal and the Jukebox, forms etc. are the records.

What book other than the documentation that you have found the right one for learning.

Yet to find one, Oracle documentation was OK.

Is it better to learn the Linux or Windows version?

Both are very well, choose the operating system you know better.

I built my Middleware on Linux 64-bit test. Note that the 32-bit version allows to run Forms and Reports Developer.

    Beware of pre-installation tasks

    Install the Oracle database
    Linux RCU (repository creation utility)

    Database

Use an existing database. (And it worked)

My test was divided into four main parts: (in this order)

Installation of the regional coordination unit
    WebLogic Server Install
    Install JRocket
    Forms and reports Install

According to me, it took me two or three times to do things. (or at least work)

I found myself with these URLs in the end:

If you purchased the version of LR 6 upgrade then when you install and run for the first time it asks you to Sign In. You must sign in with the same Adobe ID you used to buy it. Then once it's a window will appear asking for a serial number. In this window, you enter the serial number LR 6 What adobe sent you. Then once that went into a second serial number box will appear asking for a serial number from a previous version. Then you enter the serial number LR 2. Series LR 2 will begin with the same 4 numbers, 1160.

  • Porting an existing application from the PlayBook to BB10

I have a question Portage.  I think I'm ready to download an App from App World.  Please let me know if I missed a step.  Here's what I did with an existing application of the PlayBook - I downloaded and installed the "BlackBerry 10 SDK for Adobe AIR beta 3" in my Flash Builder.  Also, I requested, received and installed the new code signing for the BlackBerry PlayBook OS, BlackBerry 10 and upper keys.  I recompiled the program with the new SDK BB10 and the new code signing keys. The program works well on my PlayBook and in the emulator.  I guess that everything that I have to do now is download the app on App World.  Who is?

Why the new signing keys? If it's just an another update of an existing application to the PlayBook, you must use the same keys.
Did you use an icon of 150 x 150 and redo your screens of the new device size slash?

  • Package id error. Signed applications WebWorks.

Could someone please tell me why when signing of the same app for OS BB10 and PlayBook OS I'm different application id in MANIFEST. File MF, which translates as the rejection by the supplier portal .bar file downloading.

Two software development kits are recent, if it's important.

Unchanged demand, has signed for various devices.

The two signature process managed just different Package name in the MANIFEST. MF file. (Must be the same because same config.xml served.)

    Keys used are the same.

    Here are some examples:

    BB10 MANIFESTO. MF

    Package-Type: application
The package author: me - it's always the same with key set
Package name: XXX - specified in the xml file must be the same
    Package Version: 1.0.0.0
    Package-Architecture: armle-v7
    Package-author-certificate-Hash: xxxxxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Package-author-Id: me - it's always the same with key set
Package-Id: this should be the same for both packages since the Package name is the same
    Package-Version-Id: number of Version loads
    Package - Issue Date: 2013-04 - 28 T 08: 18:12Z

    PlayBook MANIFESTO. MF

    Package-Type: application
    The package author: me
Package name: XXX608d35518356ae28ab6cb8e8ck6b11b - see what screws everything up
    Package version: 1.0.0.5
    Package-Architecture: armle-v7
    Package-author-certificate-Hash: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx
    Package-author-Id: me
Package-Id: not the same thing because of the different package name
    Package-Version-Id: number of Version loads
    Package - Issue Date: 2013-04 - 28 T 08: 18:18Z

608d35518356ae28ab6cb8e8ck6b11b - this is what's wrong with the name of the Package.

.bar signed for BB10 comes with Package name normal one specified in the config.xml file in the identification sticker. .bar signed for PlayBook OS comes with the package name that resembles what would like normal more lots of numbers uttachet him he looks a bit like a hash keyword. But there simply just to imitate what is specified in the tag of the config.xml file.

As I said package PlayBook is rejected by portal provider for some reason "different ID of Package". (Why Package ID would be the same if your own BlackBerry signature tools mess). BB10 verson was transferred first. What I'm trying to tell if verson PlayBook would be first, then the BB10 version would be rejected for exactly the same reason.

That leaves me with two options:

    1. try to solve this problem with the support of the seller. (Not going, the last time I'm angry "why did you change your package of them ID")

2 forget PlayBook, at least with OS its market now. (Who cares anyway, upload was almost merciful because it is not worth even the whirlpool to go thrugh signature and the download process, which is particularly hideous for PlayBook).

The third option would be just to create something like 'Application for PlayBook' in portal provider, but that's all just stupid because it would be the same application but under different names therefore not cross-platform for users of BlackBerry ID.

Also can't help but to say rim (BlackBerry) should gather their things and come up with a single tool can be used to sign applications. Because they have now looks more like a joke if it isn't insult all together. Process is mindbending. and if you want yourself (almost 100% certainty) frustrate develop, sign and app World de BlackBerry download. You will be pleased.

Anyway everyone has had similar problem when downloading the BB10 and PlayBook .bars to the provider portal would be nice here how solve you it.

See you soon! And the development of the happy. (which isn't the most difficult part, but you already know)

This is because that the WebWorks SDK for Tablet added a random GUID to the package ID to make it unique.  The BlackBerry 10 SDK is no longer for it.  Unfortunately, this means that if a developer rebuilt their code even using the SDK for the new platform, then BlackBerry World will not see them as being of the same application (since the internal ID is different).

There is a solution - what you need to do is change the id property of your element in the config.xml file to match the package-name of the file 'manifest '. MF' Tablet-OS.

Here is an example of what I mean.  If the MANIFESTO of the PlayBook. MF file shows that 608d35518356ae28ab6cb8e8ck6b11b has been added in the name of the package of fooBar, then set your id like that

    http://www.w3.org/ns/widgets"
            xmlns:rim="http://www.blackberry.com/ns/widgets"
            version="1.0.1"
            id="foobar608d35518356ae28ab6cb8e8ck6b11b"
            xml:lang="en">

It's not pretty, but it works.

Once you recompile, BlackBerry World will then recognize the bar and allow you to present a new bundle for the existing version.

  • Two schemas for the same Application authentication

    Hello everyone.

    I use Apex 4.2.1 on mod_plsql and Oracle 11 g 3.

I'm facing what I consider a difficult assignment.  I need to build an application that supports two types of connection authentication: authentication Windows LDAP and authentication in an Oracle table.

Is it still possible?  Someone knows how to do this?

I already have the operation of the application using LDAP.  Users are present page 101 and a form where they enter their Windows user name and password.  After clicking a "submit" button, a plsql after submit process page 101 distinguishes the user to log in as an ADMINISTRATOR or a user to type non-ADMIN looking at the username of connection in an Oracle table called APP_USERS.  This table looks like:

    CREATE TABLE APP_USERS

    (USERNAME VARCHAR2 (10))

    PASSWORD VARCHAR2 (250)

    )

    /

If the user name contains a '@' character, then this is a non-ADMIN user. Otherwise, it's an ADMIN that connects to.

A plsql after submit the process is then called that looks like:

    (app_security_pkg). Login

    P_UNAME = >: P101_USERNAME,.

    P_PASSWORD = >: P101_PASSWORD,.

    P_SESSION_ID = > v ('APP_SESSION').

    (P_FLOW_PAGE = >: APP_ID);

This works when an administrator user logs in and is authenicated via LDAP.

However, users of type non_ADMIN must be authenticated on this table APP_USERS.

Anyone know how to include such authentication with LDAP authentication all within the same application?  There is a concrete example of the work that I could shoot?

I looked through this and other instances of the Apex on this subject and have read several articles about setting up authentication.  Unfortunately, I have not seen what anyone who manages more than one type of authentication for a single application.

Thanks a lot for any help on this.

    Elijah

    Hey, Jari.

I thank very you much for helping me.

As mentioned in my post, LDAP Windows authentication works very well.  My question is how to make use of LDAP and custom in an Oracle table simultaneously in the same Apex application authentication.

I worked on it yesterday and, with the help of the articles I found on the web, I got it to work.

I figured out how to get my Apex application to use two different authentication schemes.  LDAP is used for a set of users and 'control against a table of type Oracle user and password name' is used for a different set of users.

I did use an article I found on the web (Blog of Duncan Mein) that shows how to create a custom authentication scheme.  Then, I modified it by adding in the LDAP Windows schema, I was already using.  Then, after yet another article I found, I also modified the underlying code of package to allow a re - direct to different application pages according to the user who was logged into type.

To make all this work, it is important to be able to distinguish one set of users to another.  In my particular case, users with a '@' character in their usernames are automatically authenticated against my Oracle called APP_USERS table.  If my custom function returns 'true', they are directed to a 2 page in my application.  And users with no not this character are authenticated against Windows LDAP and directed to a 1 page in my application.

It works well.  I wish I could put a demo of it on my work in apex.oracle.com area, but don't know how to get LDAP works on this site.

In any case, thanks, again, for your help.  It is appreciated.

  • user in an existing application implementation/roles

I was instructed to implement roles and users in an existing application that has very little support for them. I've done this before and I have already implemented the user aspect (pretty painless, in fact).

The current problem is implementation of roles. I need to put in place a system in which the roles are used to determine several things:

    • the pages visible by a given user
    • If a control on a page is visible
    • If a control is editable
    • If a datagrid column is viewable (and even printable)

The best way I can think to do is to create an admin page that creates roles with view, edit and print permission to the controls and access to the pages (files mxml, modules and components, etc.). 'Non technical' SME Admins have probably need to change/add roles in the future.

I have several questions about this:

    • Is there a better way to do this in Flex 3.2 / CF 8? Keep in mind that hearth States already in use for other things and management by adding views does not have the abliity to add/modify roles later and would at least triple the code base.
    • Is there a way to generate a list of mxml controls on a page and display - dynamically if if it's going to do more harm than just lists of coding by hand?
    • I can't upgrade the SDK or "radical" changes (e.g.: spend money)

    thoughts and ideas?

Well, after chewing on it for a while, I don't think a list generated automatically the control ID would be preferable.

It would be OK for a list of control IDS in a database, but it has the potential to upset the rules of engagement, if changes are made and were not intentionally. for example: you add a delete button and forget to turn it off for a certain group, and the data has been deleted inadvertently database.

I could add a button analysis on an admin page for the ID command initial and periodic updating, but probably not. It would not work after that code is compiled in any case.

I'm going to do it based on the ID of specific controls and add controls to the basis of the list a manual process to do at each iteration. It is not that big of a deal anyway, as the features of the application are mature. the changes requested at the moment are more about happens to see what control and edit fields.
