Question of scheduled task of IOM

Hi all
I have made some changes to my job schduled, compiled and replaced the file in the folder of the IOM/ST after the server has stopped. But somehow the IOM is still running the old scheduled task. I can say that because I can't see the changes is forced or the log messages are written in the log file.

I checked the class name in the console Design and it is right, that is, I make changes in the correct file of ST. Where can I check and detect the problem. All the world faces this question in the past.

Make sure that the same class is not present in any other jar to the classpath of IOM.
Start by checking the JavaTask etc...

Thank you
Suren

The only things that should be in scheduled tasks are tasks that you have planned or which were automatically to 3 rd-party applications can be installed (this is often used to implement "automatic update" for applications). *

It is perfectly fine to have no scheduled tasks.

  • How to grant map to IOM CSF a scheduled task

    Hello

I need to give a reference card for the store of credentials to the IOM a scheduled task. I was trying to grant access but no success yet.

I tried to grant access to $OIM_HOME/server/plugins /- but still access denied.

Could you please you shared your suggestions on this.

    Thank you

You can create a class to access your CSF and put it in a jar in your folder of $DOMAIN_HOME/lib. After that just create a system policy to allow this vial to read the key from your CS

  • Need to update a user existing in the IOM by running the scheduled task.

    Hi all

I configured the GTC connector for flat file with which I am able to create users in the IOM successfully. Here is an example of flat file

UserID, firstname, lastname, Manager, EmployeeType, Org, role, service, location, position
AWinslet, Aate, Winslet, null, full-time, Xellerate users, end-user, engineering, Mumbai, Software Engineer

and now, I'm not trying to update service user attribute by changing (financial engineering) Department in a flat as file below.

When I ran a task scheduled for the resource to flat file GTC I get below error.

  • IOM - how set up a notification for ANY scheduled task got error/failure

    Hello

Can we in place a notification for ANY task scheduled (generally) in which case it fails?
I know that we can develop a custom on-demand task and then send a notification through Java code but I think on the analysis of the aspects, I mean, if a scheduled task that must be completed successfully had a mistake, IOM admin may be notified to work on the incident.

    Concerning

Things as ClassNotFound would cause errors, but all the tasks planned, that I have the code, I handle all exceptions appropriately.

  • IOM - understand the operations of the user - a scheduled task

    Hello

Could someone here explain what means this task?
    The manual says:
This scheduled task performs the operation specified by the UserOperation attribute on the user specified by the attribute UserLogin account

Anyone here have an example scenario that this task could be useful?

    Concerning
    HH

Pretty simple. This Scheduler is used to perform actions on the user IOM account according to a predefined schedule. This means that you can perform the actions ENABLE, DISABLE or DELETE any user of IOM. And the attribute values can be:

    UserLogin - IOM User Login
    UserOperation - ENABLE

The scheduler run above will allow the user if the people with reduced mobility. Now the utility part. Consider the following use cases:

(* 1) * cancelled at any user tell User001 you and that you want to disable this user and all resources provisioned at 18:00 hours once he finished all the work desktop, and if you turn off the user to the user to disable the button the user directly and all of its resources would be left immediately. So you can assign to this scheduler to run at 18:00 hours, with values User001 and DISABLE

(* 2) * you're a Helpdesk guy / IOM and Director of IOM does not want you to have access to the item of menu users because he doesn't want you to have a look at the personal data of the user IOM but he want always that you can actually run enable - disable actions on IOM. In this case, that it will give you access to the menu item manage schedule the task so that you can perform the daily activity of the operations. It is a solution for the use case.

There is a requirement of applications consultant to do instant schedule for a particular virtual machine.

I have set up the scheduled task, BUT would like to know is possible to specify how long the snapshot schedule to run?  As: 3 days OR between 01/05/2015 and on 05/03/2015?

    Your opinion is requested.

You can write a shell Script that will take the system time and do the comparison if it's more than an hour, you can trigger 'vim - cmd vmsvc/snapshot.create vmid' with the name of snapshot of timestamp.

  • example of scheduled task - IOM

I am trying to create a .bat file that stops a set of scheduled tasks and start another game, but when it works it is said that there is no such thing as the name of the task

Running schtasks/query does not list the tasks that I have implemented in Task Scheduler

For operational reasons, the tasks are set on "Run If the user is logged in or not ' and I read somewhere that this automatically makes the hidden task

  • BITSADMIN and scheduled tasks

Does anyone have experience making bitsadmin more useless in a scheduled task?  It seems to be limited to the use of the command-line connected except for the / create command.  Otherwise, it fails because the user is not connected (will work even if at the request of task if you logged in and 'run now'), but when you are disconnected, the task runs but bitsadmin gives errors like:
Cannot add file to job - 0x800704dd
The requested operation was not because the user is not connected to the network.

The specified service does not exist.

This behavior even in Xp and S 2008 / Vista.

  • What is the scheduled task ' in * ' (there are a lot of tasks (At25 - At192))

I use Ccleaner on my desktop and it showed a lot of tasks scheduled with the name 'At' and a number behind them (25-192). They seem to be run by the same file "WQ3203G0.exe", so I was wondering what all these tasks/is this file?

There is a certain malware (details of which I can't find in my notes) which creates a lot of scheduled tasks in your system, so it seems that your system is currently or has been infected by malware.

Tell us about your system and run some known malware scanners on request and you can clean up the mess that might be left behind.

Since the implementation of the Microsoft Answers forum does not ask for any kind of information system when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update, and make at least an analysis full (not at the same time) with these free malware detection programs:
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

These comprehensive analyses can take some time, but you really need to run.  SAS will probably be just a bunch of Internet tracking cookies, but you can remove them.  Once you have done at least a full analysis, you can do quick scans in the future to save time and save the analyses complete for when you have more time or are really suspicious of an infection of the system.

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

  • Switches to scheduled tasks – run the box-

I try with XP Pro to set a scheduled task to run CHKDSK with the f switch and save the results to a txt file.  I came up with the following to the box Z drive the newspaper in a folder on the D drive, called chkdsklogZ and run to run chkdsk on stor:

    Z:/f/x C:\WINDOWS\system32\chkdsk.exe > 'd:\chkdsklogZ\chkdsk.log '.

Unfortunately, it does not run.  Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Of course, it has a system of files and you run chkdsk on it to find and fix file system errors, however the map real cluster is still managed by the host operating system and logical or physical within the .vhd file errors would be fixed when running chkdsk on the drive of the host.

My guess is that it can be a question of what chkdsk is logical or physical errors first, if chkdsk inside the disk hard virtual find the host probably corrected and the virtual hard disk file system is informed of these changes and retains its integrity, if errors are found when chkdsk is run on the host drive will be corrected the errors and the virtual hard disk file system may experience what whether of a hiccup to a complete failure.

  • services that run via scheduled task

    Hi all

I am creating a task scheduled to start/stop services. the scheduled task must be run under the service account with minimal rights, as rights of the user or the user rights of maximum power.
I created the scheduled task running under the account of service with power user rights to stop a service, but unfortunately the task was doing what it suppose to do.
I did some troubleshooting and investigated as shown below:
    1. I used the runas command to run net stop under the service account that runs the scheduled task, the service is stopped, as it is assumed
    2. I connect to the server using the account service and disconnected (the session will be shown in the disk for the service account) and at the same time open a session to the server with a different account performed the scheduled task, the task does what it is supposed to do. (the service is stopped)
Note: the scheduled task is set to enabled (scheduled task to run at a specified time)
3 when I changed the rights on behalf of rights of administrator power user rights service and perform scheduled task, the task runs correctly and does what he must do.
    4. the service was set to be managed by the user with power, which means that if a user opens a session on the server and try to start/stop the service, he will be able to action and is successful.
my questions will be as shown below:
    1. to start/stop the service via a scheduled task, the service account needs a session to be able to perform the task?
2 must. the service account the highest privileges to perform the task?
    3. is there a way to avoid to run the scheduled task to run with minimum privileges? What kind of things need to be done.
Thanks in advance for your answer.

I would look at the link below.  This should answer all these questions.
