Question of the ADF

Let's say I VO: aVo, bVO, cVO, dVO

aVO viewLinked viewLinked bVO to CVOs and also bVO viewLinked dVO

The links are two-way.

All belong to the same puzzleAM.
Model data AM defines a02VO and aVO two instances a01VO.

A01VO defined as a01 VL b01 VL (c01VO, d01VO)
a02VO instance does not define the views of VL
Also define VLed B02VO to C02VO and D02VO

Isolaltion set as new transaction

Issues related to the:
If used in the query A01Iterator
(a) will lead to the updating of all A01Iterator
(b) update A01 and A02
(3) Will Refresh A01, B01,
(4) update A01, B01, C01, D01
(5) will refresh all iterators
(6) only A01

If used in the query are refreshed to the A02Iterator...

An iterator is bound to an instance of VO, so ask an iterator updates the bound instance of the VO. Your children are updated when you use an accessor to get the data of a child.
That said (and I hope I understand correctly), questioning a01 iterator must perform only aVO and evaluators, you use the your children.

Better that you write small test app and try it out.

  • Question about the ADF Version supported Oracle database

    Hello

One of my client's situation trigger this thread, they have a few Oracle 9.2.0.6 inherited instance, which turns out to be that a version of database not supported for JDeveloper/ADF 12.1.3, in this case, supports an earlier version of the ADF is the only choice without upgrading of database to 11.x for them?

And I'm also interested to know why JDeveloper/ADF confined its support to some version of database Oracle, thank you

    -Liang Yi

    Hello

If I'm not wrong then the Oracle 9i database is out of support since juil.-2007. JDeveloper and ADF certifies and supports the unsupported database versions or operating systems. So I hope that answers the "why". The real solution is to upgrade the database, because that's the reason that will block you for what your client is to move forward.

  • Question of the ADF during execution of the established steps FDMEE

    Hello

Whenever I try to run any step in the data loading Workbench in FDMEE 11.1.2.3 (PSU520) I immediately get the following error message:

"FDMEE + ADF_FACES-60097: for more information, see the error log of the server for an entry beginning with: 60096-ADF_FACES: server during the PPR, #5 Exception.

If I run the same underlying data loading rule of the DLR page it works ok.

Is this a bug of the ADF? Any other ideas?

  • BlackBerry 10 Question on update to OS using the ADF.

Question some time ago, I upgraded my Blackberry OS using the ADF. Everything installed properly, but I found two questions. One was could not download and install the driver from SD card (SD card is 64 GB) the second was Assistant of Blackberry does not really worked. I could type and it would work, but nothing happened when I used the voice. Is this a known issue or something I am doing wrong?

Everything I heard, this source of Autoloaders contains intentionally paralyzed (for developer purposes) OS packages. You need a source that uses the final manufacturing code launched to build the autoloader. All that I understand, BB does NOT have any fully functional AutoLoaders with production code. It is clever users who have figured out how to create them. It's the source that I use and trust:

Of course, you must be careful and raised up on top of what is code of production compared to the leaks before you download and use any automatic charger.

    (1) ADR installation (Application Development, Runtime) 11.1.1.6.0 (64-bit)

    (2) install the RCU 11.1.1.6.0 to create the scheme of OWSM_MDS (32 bit)

The Web server is running properly. There is only a single domain (mydomain). I need to develop 3 ADF web application as below:

    (1) admission application online

    (2) request for Login to student registration

    (3) Faculty and staff Login request

    My questions are:

    (1) may extend the existing domain (mydomain) to develop the 3 possibilities of use in the ADF?

    (2) may I create 3 new domain for 3 Applications (domain_Admin, domain_student, domain_faculty)?

    (3) where one is better? create or extend?

    Thanks in advance

  • [JDev12.1.2, ADF, GlassFish 4] A few questions on the tutorial of Shay "Deploy Oracle ADF Essentials Applications to Glassfish"

    Hallo (Shay),

I want to deploy my application Web ADF to GlassFish that is installed on a different server from the development computer.

The application interacts with a MS SQL Server database.

I have some doubts/questions on the tutorial of Shay https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/deploying_oracle_adf_applications_to

So far in the development phase, I deployed the application only to the JDeveloper-itegrated WebLogic Server on the development computer.

    Creating a connection pool

    • I could successfully creates a pool of connections only by copying the sqljdbc4.jar library in the C:\glassfish4\glassfish\libdirectory. Is this OK or should the library remain in C:\glassfish4\glassfish\domains\domain1\lib?
    • Is there a way to hide the password in the additional properties?
    • Is there any setting for the property should do (especially for MS SQL Server)? For example, somewhere I read that the isolation of transactions should be set to read uncommitted... but I did not understand why.
    • What is the difference between types java.sql.DataSource resources and java.sql.XADataSource?

    In JDeveloper application configuration

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) set to java: comp/env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change this field value to jdbc / < name_of_jdbc_resource_created_in_GlassFish >, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What's wrong?
    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

Taking care of the libraries used by the application

    • In the project properties, between the libraries and railways class there are a few additional libraries I've used in applications. Here's the JAR files I put in C:\JDeveloper\lib. I copy these libraries on the production server? If Yes, where?

    Other questions

    • What is the difference between putting a library in the lib of GlassFish folder and put it in the folder lib of Domain1?
    • Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial might also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server?
    • Is there a way to manually delploy an application, for example by copying manually under GlassFish project folder?
    • My final goal is as follows. I have a clean Setup that allows me (1) to continue to run the application in JDeveloper on its built-in WLS, (2) to test the application to the GlassFish that I have installed on the computer development and (3) delploy the application on the remote production server. Could help me do that?

These are a lot of questions.

I thank in advance all the users who want to respond and I hope that the answers to these questions will help also others.

    Ciao,.

    Federico

Federico - most of your questions is generic Glassfish questions that do not specifically have anything to do with ADF - I recommend that you post on the forum of Glassfish. (Or read the Glassfish documentation for things like the difference between directories and deployment/admin console).

    >>

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) parameter tojava:comp / env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change the value of this field of jdbc /, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What is the problem?

This is because JDeveloper uses an integrated WebLogic when you run and therefor cannot use the data source of Glassfish.

I suggest that make you this change only when you go to deploy on Glassfish.

    >>

    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

We don't know, as the matrix of certification for the ADF will show that we have not tested/certified this combination.

Use the properties of project-> libraries and class path to add the jar or create a library and add it to your project.

Make sure that this library is deployed by default.

  • A Question about the safety of the ADF

    Hello

One of my friends sent me this question:

What file would you use if you want to change the security authentication to an application?

    Adfc-config. XML

    (B) faces-config. XML

    C. jazn-"Data.xml"

    Web.XML d.

    WebLogic.XML E.

I said that the correct answer is "c. jazn-"Data.xml"", but he insists on the fact that the right answer is "web.xml d..

He sent me this link to approve his response

    http://blog.whitehorses.nl/2010/02/01/WebLogic-Web-application-container-security-part-2-ADF-security/

In fact, I am not convinced of its response.

    What is your suggestions.

    Your comments are appreciated most.

Well, it's one of those questions...

For me, two answers are good, C and D

To activate the adf security make you changed in the web.xml file. Power is a change, it fits as a response. If you add user roles, roles of map, these changes are written to jazn-"Data.xml", which makes C a valid answer.

Well, the other forum you mentioned is the Korean equivalent of the English forum.

You have already discovered, it is not controlled to many users. I didn't know that it exists at all.

In general it is to you where you ask your questions. All for one here are driven by the community and some employees of the Oracle, you cannot wait has answered all your questions. If you really need to answer you go through paid support.

A tip for getting help is to provide a well-defined use cases, information relating to your environment and documented code showing what you have already tried.

  • Comments and questions about the mixture ADF Page flows with Trinidad UI

    Hi all

I did a few tests to see how possible it is to use Trinity to the UI (for compatibility of this stinking IE 6) as well as the ADF Page flows / controller of the ADF. My question is whether there is a sustainable configuration from the point of view of Oracle. I did things to make it work and noted the following interesting behaviors (call anaomalies, if you wish):

    (1) addition of ADF Page Flow within the reach of the technology for a project automatically adds ADF Faces. If I try to eliminate ADF Faces of the scope of technology, it automatically deletes the flow of Page of ADF as well.

    (2) if I remove the ADF Faces DURATION 11 project library and create a page of trinidad (also set up the renderkit and as appropriate skin and remove a moment-false ServletADFFilter of web.xml) I get errors MDS when running the resulting page. I can't correct the error by removing the MDS libraries either - as soon as I put ADF Faces DURATION 11 library back, things are OK.

    (3) since I've faced ADF in my scope of technology, all newly created JSPX pages end up having af:document / af:form tags and have the namespaces implemented for ADF Faces. Not useful if I want only parts of Trinidad, but not a show-stopper, either.

    (4) an interesting thing that I have reported before... If I have the ADF Page library flow into my project and then configure navigation case in faces-config. XML (I know, wouldn't do that, just an observation, even if someone who has accidentally library ADF Page Flow in their project without any intention to use the ADF Page flows will find this very annoying to debug...), the first click of button that leads to the navigation works very well. All subsequent navigation requires two clicks on the link/button to trigger navigation. This behavior does not occur if you change the case of navigation to redirect = true.

So, in summary, I seems to be the controller of flow/ADF Page ADF working with Trinidad, with a few minor problems of productivity due to an obvious requirement to have the Library Runtime of ADF Faces and the extent of technology ADF Faces included in my project. Now Oracle - is this going to be a sustainable configuration?

I'd also appreciate comments, suggestions and comments from anyone else who has tried or is trying to use the ADF Page flows / ADF controller with a single user Trinity interface (well, in my case, I'm going to blur more using the tag af:template with components of the Trinity, but it's another whole story).

    Best,

    John

    bump #2

+ 1). Adding the ADF Page Flow within the reach of the technology for a project automatically adds ADF Faces. If I try to eliminate ADF Faces of the scope of technology, it automatically deletes the flow of Page of ADF as well. +

ADF task flows have to ADF Faces e around. Not sure this is documented somewhere, but I hope it's

    (2) no idea about it

+ 3). Since that I've faced ADF in my scope of technology, all newly created JSPX pages end up having af:document / af:form tags and have the namespaces implemented for ADF Faces. Not useful if I want only parts of Trinidad, but not a show-stopper, either. +

Looks like that is facing an emergency room to have an option in the dialog creation page if create an ADF or page of Trinidad. I'll take a note

+ 4). An interesting thing that I have reported before... I'm not sure how to restrict we are on the "do not use" them in combination, but to me this looks like a bug.

I would appreicate your help highyly.

    Thank you

The PageB value with a table Suppier with the content of the "Immédiate" delivery

the table on the 2nd page contentDelivery should be set to 'immediate' instead of 'immediate '.
(Another approach is to comment on the component in the 2nd page in order to ensure that he would not send an additional request).

Yet once, worked the same in version 10g and output was as expected (this is the output in 10g)

ADF Faces 10g is very different (components and controller), so you do not need to refer to it.

  • Question about the mix of Trinidad component with ADF Faces

    Dear all,

I have a requirement for complex layout that I can't do with just ADF Faces component.
I found this blog nice wfrom Jobinesh http://jobinesh.blogspot.com/2010/11/layout-tips-organizing-page-content.html
and I quickly realize that this will solve my problem.

Please note that components of Trinidad has not all client components peer as we have for the ADF Faces. You may need to be measured while choosing this guy

I'm just concerned about this line. I can't really understand what it means and how it will impact my programming of the ADF.

    Thank you

    Neliel,

Which, in my view, that Jobinesh says it's that you will not be able to use the HTML elements of the Trinity as targets for partial triggers. As far as I know, using HTML of Trinidad (trh :) components with ADF is OK, but using 'clean' Trinidad (tr :), you can have problems.

  • Office jet pro 8500 a: copy using the ADF will not work.

I place the document in the top loader, it seems to be recognized by the machine, when I press the copy, it makes a funny noise but the document doen't go through the driver and the machine ask me to reload the document. A copy is fate. I checked if any blocking or jamming of paper but it's all clear.

Been through the different troubleshooting steps, but nothing helped.

    Thank you very much

Hello FROGYBEAR and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see from your post that you are experiencing supply problems.  I would like to help with that!

I recommend you to perform a power reset. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also suggest using this document on When you use the ADF, one "original jam: clear jam and press OK' Message displays on the all-in-one."  I understand the questions you see are a little different, but the steps should help solve that.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Tutorial on the use of the ADF to develop Web Application

    People,

Hello. I have implemented PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0 revision 5 for a University.

I need to develop an application for Admission online for future student to apply for admission.

My installations of PeopleSoft are below:

Server machine: Oracle Linux 5.10 (64-bit)

Client computer: Windows XP Professional (64 edition) with the Internet Explorer browser

Architecture Internet Oracle Linux 5.10 Server:

    (1) database server: Oracle Database 11 g version 11.1.0.6.0 is

    (2) the server application: Tuxedo 11 g

    (3) web Server: Web Logic 10.3.6.0 and JDK 1.7.0_09

    (4) browser: Firefox Mozila

    (5) two Instances of huge database on the database server: 8.53 PeopleTools and Campus Solution 9.0.

I just installed the 3 parties with WebLogic 10.3.6 and JDK 1.7.0_09 as below:

    (1) install ADR (Application Development Runtime) 11.1.1.6.0 (64-bit)

    (2) install the RCU 11.1.1.6.0 to create the scheme of OWSM_MDS (32 bit)

    (3) create a new WebLogic "Domain_CS" domain to develop the application for admission online.

I have no experience to develop the Web Application using ADF. I have developed a few Web Applications using NetBean and database server. It seems that the ADF and NetBean have some similarities. Both need to create a project with a 'Web - INF' file for Web Application development. But I don't know the first step to start the ADF to call the wizard.

    My question is:

What command and what directory to start ADF and call the wizard in order to develop the Web Application?

    Thanks in advance.

You don't need to install JDev WLS directory.

What you end up doing, is take the application (EAR/WAR file) you create in JDeveloper and deploy in the WebLogic.

JDeveloper will be in a separate Directory.
