Question of the old Photoshop filter

I have several old plugins (8bf files) I want to use with Photoshop CC.  I read that they had to be in the 32-bit plugins folder and they would be present at all in the 64-bit, so I made sure that was where I put them, but when I run the application Photoshop (either version) appear not the plugin for.  Am I missing something?  I went through all the menus and couldn't find anything that suggested a way to import or even to point to a directory for them.  Any help would be appreciated.

Unable to understand why this has not been answered, I only came across it looking for information on a set of filters .8bf that I installed a few years and who works suddenly inexplicably fails to work breaking 32 bit PS CC - note that it's the same setup, I had the habit of PS CS5 Extended. Actually, I uninstalled (removed completely) the filter now does not work, stop (cold start), kicked upwards and checked the filter no longer appeared in 32 bit PS CC, after having checked that it was not, I close the program and extract the files from the zipped copy I have directly in the same folder location as before that was empty Open 32 bit PS CC again and it showed, tries to use it once more failed with the same error as before. Note that the PS CS5 Extended uses the same file and I tried to use there after the failure of the last, it worked without any errors.

Anyway, your answer is here-

I made a folder on the drive C itself, (not in Program Files or 32-bit Program Files) I named the Plugins folder, inside I put subfolders for each filter I have install and install directly to them, I often leave a copy of the file extraction (.exe) or zip inside as well as its implementation of the files or .8bf. -You then have something like this... C:\Plugins\screen... C:\Plugins\Redfield... C:\Plugins\MasterBlaster... etc.

The value of PS to locate this folder as a Folder of plugins additional location under «Edit...» Preferences... Plug-Ins"inside of the PS itself, choose" C:\Plugins\ "in this folder by using Browse button if my own example, select your own folder, if you change the location."

Note: Photoshop offers only an additional location for Plugins/filters (other programs offer more).

The benefits-

You can uninstall Photoshop and your plugins/filters are installed (takes time if you have many-to-install) reinstall Photoshop and set the location again and your filters work.

You can access filters by using another graphics program
