Question of Toshiba Satellite L3 * CD/DVD! Here is my solution. How about you?

Hello everyone. Today, I see on this forum people discuss issues of CD/DVD on L30/L300/L350. I want to share my experience on this issue and hope that everyone shares your experience as well.

My laptop Toshiba L30 PSL33 and Toshiba L300 PSLB2E there. I'm lucky that I have no problem with discs/CD/DVD players I can the reading/writing/reading CD/DVD gently. However, I used to have some problems with the CD/DVD drive on my laptop. Here is my experience.

(1) make sure that there is no other CD/DVD software on your computer (with the exception of the original Toshiba Software). Especially to those who have served using Nero. If you have problems, try to remove Nero and test with one supported by Windows

(2) If you still have problems, try to update the firmware of the DVD drive. It can be done by visiting the site support for Toshiba driver (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/). Check which drive you have by looking in the Device Manager. Download the new firmware from here and update your player.

(3) my last solution. If you have Vista pre-installed, try to get a XP version on your computer and do not install any other software. Test/copy a CD using writing tool of windows to see if the problem is resolved or not.

In my opinion. the main reasons you can encournter are: there are CD/DVD players have XP firmware basis and must be updated so that they can be used on Vista. or there are programs like Nero and PowerDVD are at the origin of the conflict between the controllers of the ACPI (real or simulated).

Hope this can help you all. If you have other experiences, please share them with everyone.

PS: Please excuse my language that I'm not a native English speaker.

I have a toshiba satellite T135D laptop and I don't know how to start my built in webcam which program should I use?

    Hello George,.

I could not find this model number on the Toshiba site, so I suggest that you look at this page as a place to start your search: http://support.toshiba.com/drivers . They had a driver for a webcam, which is perhaps what you are missing. But in all cases, the Toshiba site is where you are most likely to solve the problem with the help of your webcam.

Let me know if this helps you.

  • Windows 8 Upgrade, Toshiba Satellite C660 Matshita DVD does not work error code 19

I just upgraded my Toshiba Satellite laptop to windows 8 and having a problem with my Matshita DVD-RAM UJ890AS. Windows troubleshooting tool shows the problem but can not solve? Help me please!

    HEALED!

All you have to do to avoid this error, code19 is to uninstall Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator and Toshiba Recovery Disk reminder. I thought that it had been uninstalled before that I've updated but I was wrong. I just uninstall both and hey presto it works :)
  • Re: Question for Toshiba Satellite A100-332 recovery

I want to format and reinstall windows to its plant as its really slow-running state. I do not remember to have a recovery on buying cd and said that I just need to push an F key on boot up, file recovery is on the hard drive. Is this correct?

No it's not correct. On this laptop more old model Toshiba didn't offered HARD drive recovery image. Recovery image is recorded on DVD. When you want to install the recovery image using recovery DVD media you can use the F button to start.

To install the HARD drive recovery (if it is saved on the HARD drive), there is another way to achieve this.
So what you can do is to order the original recovery media or install the operating system using the Microsoft CD/DVD facilities.

  • Toshiba Satellite Pro S500 i5 or i7 i3 CPU upgrade

Hi everyone, I'm having 7 Toshiba Satellite Pro S500 Notebooks here and want to update these shit Core i3 330M and 350M, 370 M and 380M CPU for Core i5 or Core i7 CPU. I'm not quite sure what CPU Socket, I have to buy and which generations of CPUS are supported by the S500. I processors up to 380 M Corei3 assembled in these things now and think its a HM55 Express chipset inside which must allow to i5 and i7 processors. I already had problems in upgrading toshiba tecra A9 modells and after upgrading CPU they were running very well and the FAN was blowing ultra noisy at speed of 100% all the time without ever turning off again even if the laptop could be frozen at 0 ° C and it has never been warm. Level 3rd Toshiba support then told me that he would need a firmware update they do provide customers and was told to send books to repair @ € 50 each, just to update this microcode. So I would ask if anyone has a list of processors supported for the S500 modells?
Numbers of exact model I have:
    Satellite Pro S500-106 (PSSE0E-19M06SLD)
    Satellite Pro S500-147 (PSSE0E-0HH06SLD)
    Satellite Pro S500-132 (PSSE0E-09G05ELD)

Hope someone can help, I don't want to end up buying an i7 or i5 cpu, spending 50 dollars, investing 4 hours work and end up with a laptop unusable, I immediately dismantle again just for the work that I had invested... Forward your answers J

Best thing to do is to choose a CPU provided with one of the other S500 PSSE0E patterns. This way you can be sure the BIOS supports.
Some portable computers require a cooling system calibration after that another CPU is installed. An ASP can do the calibration.

  • Re: Toshiba Satellite A300-129: Windows XP installation

    Hi people,

    I have a question regarding Toshiba Satellite A300-129;
I would like to install Windows XP on it (because of stability issues with Vista), but when I enter in the configuration of Windows XP, I get the message that Windows Setup did not find any HDD installed on this computer, even if the BIOS says there is one installed. Do I need a driver disk to install Windows XP on this machine?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I guess, you should integrate sata drivers:

What applications did you use to write on DVDs?
I m using Nero. It s a wonderful application that allows to burn with different media.

Install it and check what is happening with the laptop.

Otherwise, it might be a hardware problem

    Hi Sheikh R,.

You seem to have two software antivirus/firewall in real-time installed, Norton and Avira which can cause stability problems.

Can you uninstall Norton and Avira and see if that helps.

For security software consider using just firewall and antivirus integrated Windows 8 (Windows Defender).

I would also uninstall the c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys pilot who has been known to cause blue screen errors in some configurations.

Uninstall the application that has installed the driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys, maybe it's Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%.

Then, uninstall the c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys - see "How can I remove driver SPTD on 64-bit operating system?" in the following link:

    Hello

    1 reboot.

You can try the system restore before it happened.

How to make a Vista system restore
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-System-Restore-how.html
    ===========================================

If necessary you may be of the wrong driver for your Version of Windows.

Start - type in the search box-> Winver find upstairs and double click it
He will tell if you have 64-bit.

    -----------------------------------------

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Just you'd go to Toshiba Support and get the driver for your model laptop.

    Go to your model.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp?NAV=download

Good time to get some other updates here.

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.

There may not be a for a DVD SATA connector.
You can use an external USB DVD drive.
