question of trackpad

Hello

for some time my trackpad on the Macbook pro End2013 of retina does not turn over.  Trackpad and external mouse work fine. Trackpad serves not only a lot of damage so use is not the cause. Any help?

No longer, as in "does nothing, including clicking on? If so, which may be a sign that the battery in the MacBook is swelling. Do check or check yourself if you can.

Since I upgraded to El Capitan, my trackpad has been behaving strangely. Left click starts to malfunction after a while of being on, it now retains key even though I can still click on (I hear the rattling). I think it's a software problem, given that this is not the case in Boot Camp. Help, please!

In addition, drop down windows would disappear after clicking, making it impossible to select an option. (I.E. battery, an icon of the tasks icon bar)

  • Trackpad X201T questions - randomly try to scroll, other bad behavior

    Hi guys.

Sometimes, my trackpad will flip out.  If I'm scrolling with my fingers, it will stop moving and decide that I said to start the scrolling, or whether I want to zoom text or he stops in his tracks and put the cursor in the window cursor move.  Sometimes it will stop and then start moving in a semicircle, and so it seems to be really sensitive.

    I run Windows 7 x 64.

I installed the operating system from scratch, and I took care to follow the instructions in "installing OS from scratch" Lenovo on their Web site.  Entirely, I realize that the order of the driver and the software install issues with Thinkvantage stuff.

I do IT doesn't work and I have deployed a lot of laptops Lenovo to employees over the years.  I don't think it's something I am doing wrong, but you never know!

Just to see if it was a problem with my windows install, I reinstalled Windows yesterday, and I get the same behavior.

I also tried to install the Synaptics drivers and I see the same behavior.  I have a docking ban, and it's not only that after docking.  I can reset the machine after it is on the dock and it will still do this after awhile.

I noticed that, after that, he, the parameters of the application (inside Ultranav, Mouse Control Panel Applet tab) do not seem what I put them.  He did exactly the same thing for the Synaptics software.  For example, I had activated 3 finger gesture support, and then after that he freaked out, who has been disabled in the control panel.

Sometimes it will work for awhile perfectly.  During this time, I don't want to throw the computer more.

Anyone else having a problem like this?

Yes, I did.  I have a new piece of wristrest with the new trackpad from Lenovo.  It tooks weeks to arrive.  Corrects the problem absolutely.

Why, after the installation of the Sierra, the video demonstration in trackpad preferences no longer works. I can able / disable any choices from the list, but I don't see any animated gestures.

The only thing I've done before, is to enable Flash Player in Safari in two Web Sites. Perhaps this path causes the problem.

After upgrading my trackpad doesn't also run smooth it was at El Capitan. Now it scrolls too fast on certain applications and slow and not smoothly on google chrome. There is no way to solve this problem in the menu of accessibility with the speed of the trackpad. I hope that look you at the quick question, it is very annoying.

Check your settings in system preferences > Trackpad.  (no access)

  • Since the installation of Sierra, trackpad stuck on slow

I upgraded to macOS Sierra yesterday, and since then, the speed of follow-up was butchered on slow. Adjustment of the speed in the preferences system by moving the cursor to 'fast' does nothing and if I go out and re-enter the system preferences and check again the cursor referred to "slow down." It doesn't seem to be a problem with my trackpad, as accessibility, I can put my speed to fast successfully. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

  • selectingitems and trackpad pointer moves its own

I was watching a video of Amazon and may have struck a couple of keys, or my hand slipped in the keys - I don't know, but pointer froze on the follow-up to the film bar at the bottom of the screen (not sure if this is relevant, or what is called in fact this bar) in all cases, the pointer froze and then began to move erratically in bursts on the screen , selection of apps, ibooks, photos, etc. and then OPEN them as if I had clicked. Literally goes haywire as if it had a life of its own. I have NEVER experienced this during the 11 years that I've had the Mac laptop. I don't know if trackpads wear out (my current MacBook Pro is a vintage 2012 and I debated update, but it was working very well.) I wonder how to clean the dust/debris under keys because I know it can be done and I was wondering if something got under the trackpad (seems pulled by the hair) but it's really another question for me to continue. Any help on trackpad possessed pointer would be appreciated. I don't see that this issue anywhere else... - Pam

Remove the bottom plate and inspect the inside.  Pay attention to the battery to see if there are signs of expansion.  If so, take it out and have a new installed.  An extended battery can affect the trackpad.

If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.

    Ciao.

  • A few troubleshooting questions

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015) that is running OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.4. I really like to use it, but there are a few questions that I have dealt with recently that I would like help troubleshooting.

    1. sometimes, I look at Netflix while doing other things on the computer. Sometimes my computer fan will speed up until I have to shut down the computer and let it slowly downwards. Is it normal when there are too many used battery power, or the problem can be corrected?

    2. I have an external hard drive WD MyPassport Ultra 1 .5TB, which is set up with my laptop. Lately, I've especially been "Finder" open with it to sort the files it contains. The hard drive seems to work fine, but when I shut down my computer or let it go to sleep with "Finder" open, the following error message appears when I wake up the computer (see image).

However, even when the message appears, none of the clickable options are actually clickable and just show the loading icon. Instead, I have to force quit 'Finder' and when that finally works, the only option is to force eject the hard drive and plug it back in. (then it works fine except when I let the computer go to sleep, and then the process begins again. What should I do? This doesn't seem to be a problem with the external hard drive or with the computer?

    3. lately my computer has been freezing, usually if it is not always when the Finder is in use (sorting files). It happens at random times, not always. First the cursor freezes / stops moving, then the trackpad doesn't work anymore (do not click). The only solution I've used restarts the computer, which solves the problem, until it happens again (which could be anywhere from 30 minutes to about 3 days later). How can this be repaired?

    4. I also had pop up ads when I'm even not doing anything on the internet (Safari is usually open when he arrives but reduced or hidden). What are these pop-ups? They are bad?

    Sorry for the many questions!

    Thank you!

  • Share the magic trackpad for the new Magic Trackpad 2?

I can negotiate the magic trackpad for the new Magic Trackpad 2?

Apple does not trade for these items.   Your best option is to sell (on Amazon or eBay, for example) and then buy a new one.   Ask yourself the question that Apple want to do with your old trackpad.

Two other things, your iMac does not run iOS 9.3.3; your profile must be updated.   And if you are running an operating system that you are weaker than El Capitan, the new Magic Trackpad 2 may not work fully.

  • Problem with the mouse and trackpad

I bought a MacBook Pro a week ago and am just learning how to use it - took computers from the 1970s, but it's like learning a new language.  New laptop has a memory of 8 GB and 256 GB SSD.

The touchpad on the laptop is defined the way that Apple prefers - push upward on the trackpad and what is on the screen moves to the top.

Being very happy with the PC software, I had a life expectancy of the scroll on a mouse wheel to do things in the normal way, but because the creation 'trackpad' and 'mouse' are coupled to the computer, a fixation breaks to another.  I have a Logitech M705 mouse that fits my hand perfectly.  I called Logitech, and even if we got their mouse software installed, it doesn't have a setting to reverse the direction of scrolling.  I found and download software that allows me to "reverse" the scroll wheel button to be and that's what I use now.

My question is whether El Capitan, or perhaps even Sierra, a tool that allows me to do this without having to use outside software?

As a follow-up question, can anyone recommend a wireless mouse that is designed to work with the MacBook Bluetooth without having to use a plug in dongle, which takes half of my USB connections?  Preferably something important, which is 'in', not ' under' my hand?

Hello. Have you tried to navigate to system preferences and the mouse. And uncheck "Natural direction" here.

Only the power button works but the video or program etc. still works. Don't crash or freeze only the keyboard and the trackpad becomes useless.

  • MPB 13 early 2015: keyboard, trackpad stopped working

    Hello

I am currently (not quite happy) owner of a Macbook Pro 13 "retina, early 2015, I bought about a year ago.

After a few months of use, the keyboard and the trackpad started to behave erratically:

    • Sometimes the trackpad may stop working.
    • At other times, it is the keyboard that wouldn't work.
    • But most of the time, the keyboard and the trackpad would be lacking.

    A few observations:

    • The question would appear only when I start the computer, or when he wake up from its sleep.
    • When the keyboard and the trackpad has decided to work, they have worked perfectly until I put the computer to sleep or shut it down.
    • Trackpad and keyboard work as expected.
    • Initially, the problem would appear only from time to time, but then he began to be more frequent to the point where the keyboard and the trackpad would never work.
    • During the first week little encounter the problem, plug an external USB device, such as a USB drive, managed to move things to the top and the keyboard/trackpad would raise from the dead. Alas, once the problem became permanent, nothing seems to fix.

What I have tried or verified:

    • I did tried to reset the SMC, NVRAM nothing helps.
    • Boot in single-user mode or failsafe don't change anything.
    • I did check for misbehaving kernel extensions and found nothing. All extensions of kernel in use are Apple.
    • The problem is not related to the installation of third-party software - the set of installed applications is quite small and rarely changes.
    • Hardware diagnosis do not have any problem report.

The problem became really annoying that I had to tote around an external keyboard and the trackpad - sentence a satisfactory 'solution '.

I ended up going in an Apple store, where I was recommended to send my machine for repair in a 'Premium' authorized Apple service center. This service center could not find the question

    (Apparently hit answer by accident)

This service center could not find the problem, and they ended up replacing all of the top folder (including the keyboard and the trackpad). It was less than three months ago.

Initially, it worked flawlessly... until a few weeks ago, when he started to raise its ugly head again. Just from time to time at first, but now, I'm at square one, with a keyboard and trackpad completely non functional.

    A few interesting notes:

    • Again, I have reset the SMC (using the internal keyboard) without success. I want the SHIFT, control option keys and press the power button. Light on the magsafe plug changes color for some time, which indicates that the MSC has been reset indeed. In other words, the system correctly detected that user have pressed the shift, command, and option keys.
    • I then tried to reset the NVRAM. But not the operation fails. Once the computer is on, it seems that the keys are not yet detected. Same thing if I try to boot in single user mode or failsafe. I can only do it by using an external keyboard now. Starting in integrated security mode shows me some cute photos asking me to activate my bluetooth keyboard and trackpad.

    Let's take a look at system.log.

When the macbook, boots or wakes up from his sleep and find the interface for device series, we are greeted with a message similar to:

    21/05/16 22:49:27, 000 kernel [0]: Apple keyboard internal / Trackpad::start successful start

These are the days of beau. However my logs are now filled with messages from the AppleHSSPIController. As I write this from another laptop, I can't paste the log messages

  • I upgraded to the Mavericks, and now the amine on my trackpad will not work. It works in Chrome, the finder, or MS suite. Only FF does not work.

The question has pretty much all the details. I am running FF and latest Mvericks and scrolling / / back in the trackpad does not work. I can scroll in any other program, just not FF.

    Try:

    • System Preferences > General > display the scroll bar > choose "always."
  • Apple has messed up my Trackpad

I don't know where to take this problem, other than the Apple Store again, here. But a few weeks ago, Apple repaired my MBP 2015 for some questions and also replaced the "top box w / battery," which includes the trackpad, I guess. After you got at the moment, the trackpad felt fragile and quiet clicks did not. So I had to take back to the store for them to replace it again. They did, even if the trackpad feels not quite as bad as it did before, it feels quite as premiums as all other Macs I've used, and as it did when I bought my laptop. He was always a quiet, physical, sound that, with this laptop, should not be the case.

Take it for repairs? It seems no matter how much they "fix", it is not where it should be.

Thanks to one who reads this!

These forums are composed of users like you, and we can either this offer of thoughts.

I suggest that take you this appointment at the genius bar Apple store.  Prior to the appointment, test display templates to determine if you can detect differences with the trackpads compared with yours.  If so, ask the technician to test with you so that you may be able to arrive at a mutual understanding.  Should you feel the lack of cooperation, to degenerate into upper management, but at all times be polite but firm.  The solution resides on the Apple store, not here.

    Ciao.
