  I want to record a tv using Windows Media Center (WMC) series. I configured the tuner, WMC and took the series to record using the guide. My question is: what I must have WMC running in the background for the scheduled to start recording, or WMC itself will start at the right time?   The laptop doesn't have to be on, but if it isn't then it must be in mode 'sleep'. If you do a full closed then media library will not be able to restart the laptop, but it can be awakened from sleep mode.

  I recently bought a computer with Windows 7 64 bit home edition for my father. His job requires him to use a digital voice recorder to dictate things and send by e-mail to his company in the .dss format. He is currently using a recorder Olympus DS 330 on its old Windows XP machine. I called Olympus to ensure (an Olympus DS-330 recorder voice digital) device would be compatible with Windows 7 BEFORE buying the new computer for him. They assured me that "with version 7.1 of their new software it should be compatible. I was worried because the rep on the phone with me does not seem very confident in her answer and him using the word "should" is never a good thing.

  Sure enough I got the new Windows 7 computer running, installed the software, they told me to get their site, connected his player... The device has been recognized as connected BUT no driver could be found. Nothing I've tried the last hours won't work because there is simply no driver of Olympus or someone else to make this device work with Windows 7. To make matters worse I can't find a single digital voice recorder to buy for him online that IS compatible with Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit.

  The compatible ID confirms that it is not only a storage device, so it uses just the drivers supplied with Windows.  If this isn't a problem with Windows 7.  This is a problem in which the hardware vendor must be resolved.

  I searched online for the VID & PID and found only a few strokes on Bing.  None of them make no mention of 64-bit support.  And they are all pretty old.  I see dates pilot since 2001.

  So the best option is to contact Olympus again to see if they have drivers for Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 - bit for this device, or to confirm to you what devices ARE supported on 64-bit.

• A & QUESTION SRV RECORD

  Have a network of VCS X8.2.2 of two cluster control.

  I was running a three server cluster, but due to latency issues took the VCS3, I deleted from the cluster and makes it independent.

  I removed the intellectual property of the counterpart of cluster list also.  That was months ago.

  Problem is this morning when systems checking, I noticed that one of my VTC systems was recorded on the single VCS3 media... Problem is in the system in the H.323 call control settings, I have the SRV cluster name and not the IP address of the VCS3 yet he him?

  A few questions:

  Are all the same windows installation disks?
  When I say the same thing, I mean if they are the same product, i'e two disks with Vista Basic on
  Is the product id part of them somehow?
  What's this number on the disc? or do I have reason to think that it is created by the installation and hardware on your laptop / pc
  You can use the same disc windows genuine to install the same copy of windows on two laptops, but by using laptops to separate the key product authentic?

• Toshiba Cameilio H10 - Question about recording format

  I recently bought a Toshiba Camileo H10 what movies in HD 1080 x 720 camcorder. I did several video clips in this format.

  Now, when I'm going to try my suite video Ulead Moviemaker 6 messing around with videos to burn to a disc, it won t work as they are registered as .avi files.

  So I tried to use the Arcsoft Mediaconverter that came with the camcorder to change them in MPEG4 or similar and may not work with the Ulead software. It helped and made the right format, but on the contrary reduced definition 640 x 480.

  Windows encoder doesn't work either.

  How can I change the clips to the correct format without losing the definition?

  Or, what will work the video suites in .avi format?

  However, you can try the following procedure:

  1. go to control panel then sounds.

  2. on the recording tab right-click in the box
  and select "Show disabled options" and "show disconnected devices" and check if it works.

  I have a class which is about 60 slides.  There are a lot of animations, images, web objects that perform the video server scripts and quiz questions, storytelling records.  The thing was still very slow on the iPad.  There were about 5-6 questions to quiz scattered on the course and when I removed all, I was able to navigate the course with a lot more ease.  No freeze, not could skip pages.

  No one knows what might explain this?

  What prompted me to try to delete the quiz questions: quiz set initially to demand all.  When I changed the settings of the optional quiz, each unique quiz question became omitted except one.  Possible this issue a quiz has been corrupted semi and perhaps the cause?

  Have you tried to remove this question and recreate it from scratch? That's certainly what I would do in this case.

  But the problem is that the same process in "DEV" only "15 min". There is a reason for that.
