A & QUESTION SRV RECORD

I have a real?

Have a network of VCS X8.2.2 of two cluster control.

I was running a three server cluster, but due to latency issues took the VCS3, I deleted from the cluster and makes it independent.

I removed the intellectual property of the counterpart of cluster list also.  That was months ago.

Problem is this morning when systems checking, I noticed that one of my VTC systems was recorded on the single VCS3 media... Problem is in the system in the H.323 call control settings, I have the SRV cluster name and not the IP address of the VCS3 yet he him?

I don't want any system recorded in the autonomous VCS3 and want to keep the name of the SRV cluster in the area... ???  I changed the doorman affecting intellectual property SRV record and he also recorded for the VCS3...?

What could be causing this to happen?  Also, the priority is set to one on all of the SRV records.

VR

Chet

I suppose that you in fact removed the old SRV records and replaced by a new that has not listed of VCS - C3?

If you want to ensure that no system is able to register with that specific VCS, define a strategy of 'Decline' record for the sub-area of default and all other Subzones, you might have on this VCS.

  • VCSE and SRV records

    Hello world

I have a general question about the SRV records and just need a bit of clarification. I have a client who has registered a domain for their express VCS, (tp.example.com). When I do a dns lookup it brings back the correct public ip address of the vcse. Now, I'll be confuring this system few however I don't know anything about SRV records.

What I should allow the client to pass the SRV records relevant to their ISP for their external dns host?

The public domain of customers is also identical to their internal domain. Im guessing the correct SRV records must be added to their server DNS internal too?

    Thanks for your help

PS Si there is a good guide on adding files, srv etc then ide grateful if you could send me the link. Thanks again

As we do not know your deployment it's hard to say, as if you have a cluster internally

you use SRV records to sign up customers to allow failover. But who would most likely be

some additional DNS entries and not necessarily the same as outside.

If the systems are registered in their own country, they can work very well with no SRV record for the video domain.

For external connectivity SRV records are more important.

If you have a provider maintains the entries external DNS is the question put in place

    the SRV records.

  • VCS SRV records

    Hello

I have a VCS server that I want the installer in the DMZ for dialing outside/inside URI, the domain name is the same as our domain registration of MEX, what SRV records name, I need to create local or DNS ISP and publish in DNS ISP so each time than other companies wants to do a videoconference toour internal users or TP endpoint they can reach.

    Thank you

    Question 1...

Areas, Subzones and political service are not determined by where you place the VCS. As suggested earlier, VCS - e is placed in the DMZ. To find out how set up areas of the document that I have attached. But there are examples.

    Question 2.

If the other company has a VCS-E which is accessible from the internet, all you need to do, is create a DNS zone and a search rule that says call not for my domain, send to DNS zone. Again the example is in the document that I sent you.

If you want a direct connection to the company then you will need to create an area of neighbor and rule which will send all calls to this search field for this company.

  • Motorway E overlap in srv records

    Hello

In a design of the Express way, using a cluster of Highway MRA for registration and another cluster for B2B call (and jabberGuest).
We use the domain name "example.com".
This means that clients jabber and video endpoint use the URI as [email protected] / * / your registration through cluster MRA.
If outside the appeals of a jabber client or a videoendpoint on the "example.com" domain call must pass through the pole B2B.
    Question:
The sips 5061 SRV records must be made on the domain 'example.com' but where it should point the MRA cluster or Cluster B2B?

    Henry

For ARM, you only need the SRV tip collab.  According to the Expressway Administrator's guide, it is said of SIP SRV record is not necessary for mobile and remove access.  The SIP SRV should point to your cluster B2B Expressway, for incoming calls.

  • VCS-E SRV Records for several regions of the

I have a region of production with a cluster of 2 highways and a test with one Highway area.

Since I've implemented the first test area, I SRV records in place for Highway test:

Here is an example of 1...

    _sip._tcp.example.com. 86400 IN SRV 10 10 5060 testvcsx.example.com

How do I set up the SRV records for the production cluster using the same domain (example.com) but still be able to separate my production and test records, call the traffic, etc.?

    Hi André,.

somehow, he must distinguish between prod and test platform.

I would say to leave the field of prod to be like (referring to your example) example.com and trying to be test.example.com

The answer DNS SRV is a recordset in the format:

_ service. _ Protocol... TTL class SRV priority weight Port target

When the target is a record setting the destination and for a cluster, it may be FULL of the cluster domain name.

so if you have a cluster as prod and autonomous as a test, you can implement it like this:

    _sip._tcp.example.com. 86400 IN SRV 10 10 5060 vcscluster.example.com

and you test domain is resolved by:

    _sip._tcp.test.example.com. 86400 IN SRV 10 10 5060 testvcsx.test.example.com

  • question re. records programmed in windows media Center

I want to record a tv using Windows Media Center (WMC) series. I configured the tuner, WMC and took the series to record using the guide. My question is: what I must have WMC running in the background for the scheduled to start recording, or WMC itself will start at the right time? In addition, it will start my laptop? in other words, can I just turn off my cell phone (to save energy) and let and WMC invites you to my computer to start up and/or start WMC when programmed recording? Thank you!

The laptop doesn't have to be on, but if it isn't then it must be in mode 'sleep'. If you do a full closed then media library will not be able to restart the laptop, but it can be awakened from sleep mode.

  • Digital Dictaphone with Windows 7 questions. Recorder current is not compatible and do not find online that will be compatible.

I recently bought a computer with Windows 7 64 bit home edition for my father. His job requires him to use a digital voice recorder to dictate things and send by e-mail to his company in the .dss format. He is currently using a recorder Olympus DS 330 on its old Windows XP machine. I called Olympus to ensure (an Olympus DS-330 recorder voice digital) device would be compatible with Windows 7 BEFORE buying the new computer for him. They assured me that "with version 7.1 of their new software it should be compatible. I was worried because the rep on the phone with me does not seem very confident in her answer and him using the word "should" is never a good thing.

Sure enough I got the new Windows 7 computer running, installed the software, they told me to get their site, connected his player... The device has been recognized as connected BUT no driver could be found. Nothing I've tried the last hours won't work because there is simply no driver of Olympus or someone else to make this device work with Windows 7. To make matters worse I can't find a single digital voice recorder to buy for him online that IS compatible with Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit.

I thought that this OS was not suppose to have questions 'pilot' that brought the Vista. Clearly, this isn't the case. Now I'm stuck with a computer of my father can not use everything just because Windows 7 can't find enough important digital voice recorders work with. Someone has an idea of a recorder of the word that is compatible with windows 7? Yes I have not looked at this site "Compatibility Windows"... no luck. So, if I can't find a... Looks like we're $500 thanks a ton Olympus and Windows 7!

    Thanks for posting that.

The compatible ID confirms that it is not only a storage device, so it uses just the drivers supplied with Windows.  If this isn't a problem with Windows 7.  This is a problem in which the hardware vendor must be resolved.

I searched online for the VID & PID and found only a few strokes on Bing.  None of them make no mention of 64-bit support.  And they are all pretty old.  I see dates pilot since 2001.

So the best option is to contact Olympus again to see if they have drivers for Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 - bit for this device, or to confirm to you what devices ARE supported on 64-bit.

Looks like the above driver package for their recorders VN series.  It seems to be relatively cheap - http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1389&fl=5&acccategory=84 (the VN5200 is still cheaper).

  • Question on recording concert - interference

Some time back I mentioned that I was planning on recording of a concert at our Church. It's a piano and organ music. I was watching a Rode NT4 and a zoom recorder. Several people recommended that this be a good solution, so I went for it.  As you might say, I'm new to this. I have video but no audio experience.

I buy the equipment and recorded the concert this past week end. I got an excellent record with one exception. Once at the check there was a strong spikc. It has existed on the trail of the Rode and the railway of the built-in Zoom mic, leading me to conclude that something was interfering with the recorder. After careful consideration, the spike is a series of spikcs on 2 or 3 tenths of a second and a series of approximately 35 to 40 in about 5.5 seconds. They were more than 0 dB and of course distorted and flat. I was unable to clean them without affecting sound quality.

Fortunately for me, I have a friend with another microphone running directly to a camera video mid way back in the audience. His is not affected if I used it.

My question is: someone at - it any ideas what this could be? What could have caused it?

I guess that's the live recording hazzard. Someone suggested maybe a cell phone?

If any of you have experience with something like this I'd love to hear from you. Thanks much for any help.

Steve, I would like to ask another question if you don't mind. I'm finalising recording a cd. A part of the music hymns and some is classic. Do not compress the files, I was informed by a person who has experience of recording. I also learned by another one and more background check it's ok to compress of pop music.

    Your opinion?

Unfortunately, this is the way of the world that pop music is generally compressed, mainly because record companies insist it is just as strong as possible on the radio - IE, very little dynamic. With what that classic, it is a cardinal sin, because the dynamics is an essential part of the music. What I would do with mixed material is probably compromised a little, but not using the compression as such. If the sections of classical music are quieter than the hymns, then is pushed at this level when it starts, or cut the level of hymn singing. This is known as 'the level on horseback' and generally satisfied the most critical listener better. What you have actually done is to leave the overall listening level then that is the same for all the content, and the listener should not keep the volume control. In general, however, ignore the people who say compress you more, because they don't really appreciate the music very well - just volume.

Are all the same windows installation disks?
When I say the same thing, I mean if they are the same product, i'e two disks with Vista Basic on
Is the product id part of them somehow?
What's this number on the disc? or do I have reason to think that it is created by the installation and hardware on your laptop / pc
