Question on the implementation of the tables of choice with the arbitrary clues

First some background: I calibrated a pyrometer each 25 c from 350 up to 1000.  I placed the values in two tab delimited text files tables (two lines of output different pyrometer).  In the program, I wrote, a level of arbitrary temperature between 350 and 1000 can be entered in, and equals to a fractional index for one of the two tables.  Linear interpolation is used, and a current level is output.  It works just fine.

The problem is that it is a very long process to calibrate a pyrometer for specific temperature levels.  It would be much easier to calibrate for specific current levels and get readings of arbitrary temperature of these currents.  I wonder how to implement this with lookup tables.  I tried just to put all the values that I had to the number of line corresponding to their level of temperature.  IE, 500 it's current level would have the 500 index (in fact it would be 500-350, given that the spreadsheet won't save blank lines before the first value).  It works fine until you enter a temperature level that has a current value.  The problem is that the linear interpolation function no longer works, because it does the interpolation between two adjacent index values.  I need something that will interpolate between two values of arbitrary index, as between 500 and 525 (or maybe 522 and 573, for example, in the future).

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Have you read this statement ? It explains how to set the registry value:

    If the REG_SZ useDefaultTimer does not already exist, you must create it under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\CVI Run-Time Engine\cvirte. "" This can be done navigate to the appropriate folder, and then click Edit "New" string value. Then, click on means the name of the new value created, select Rename, and then specify useDefaultTimer as the name. Finally, double click on the name and specify the value True or False.

  • Questions about the implementation of clusters of storage and DTS on active cluster

    I have a few questions about the implementation of clusters of data store and SRS storage in VSphere 5.1.

    We have a data center with about 15 HP blades and a few servers non-lame.  The hosts are all either VSphere 5.0 or 5.1.  Our back-end storage is an EMC VNX 5700 with about 20 stores of data.  All the VMWare is managed by VCenter 5.1 running on a dedicated physical machine.

    Currently, each data store is used individually; No piles of data store are put in place.  When a new virtual machine is created, the administrator usually chooses the data with the most space store.  Periodically, we will go back and manually storage vMotion machines to balance the load.

    Recently, we have expanded the VNX storage, so we now have LUNS in different pools, with different levels of performance.

    What I would do is set up for the data store clusters, so that us when a virtual machine is created, the administrator must not know what data store is in which pool.  Also take advantage of the DRS storage so that the burden of storage will be "refine" himself a little.

    I know the setting up of a cluster of storage in a 'clean' environment is quite simple, but my concern is creation/conversion data warehouses existing in active production in the cluster, while they are used.

    If I access the screen "data warehouses and store data from clusters ', right-click on the data center and create a cluster, and then move the various data stores in the new cluster, will there be an interruption in the production running systems?

    I also wonder about activation of storage i/o control.  It is not currently enabled on data warehouses.  I know it's useful for the StorageDRS, but will be allowing any negative impact on the system?  If I turn on the warehouses of data, is there anything else I should do or set in addition to all that allows him?

    Finally, we are in the process of Site Recovery Manager configuration.  SRS has an impact on the configuration of the data clusters and DTS store?

    Thanks in advance for your comments.

    Hello

    Clusters of data and using DTS store doesn't impact RS even if you create a cluster of data store for storage of replicated data and another for everyone else, this way you machines virtual you want to replicate are not moved on warehouses of data that are not replicated , but will still have the ability to move if there is a conflict.

    Gregg

    With all due respect but SRM and DTS don't go together. SRM does not at all support the use of DTS. So if you are configuring SRM forget DTS for now.

    Reason for this is that SRM knows no DTS and VMs can be in flight when a failover should occur, and bad things can happen. Also, the protection breaks when a virtual computer is moved between data warehouses in a cluster data store.

    In short: don't go there.

    Good day to all... A few Questions on the themes and my options for my app:

    Im running 4.2.4 on XE currently... and Im using the 25 responsive Blue theme...

    So, I'm looking for options theme... If I look at the standard themes, I have 4 themes style HTML5 (23-26), which all use a lot of screen space (probably because they are designed with tablets in mind)...  But if I want to use a smaller style then Im left with just two styles a bit smaller (21 and 22). As discussed in one of your previous threads, some 'legacy' themes are older than others. I wouldn't really classify a focus standards mode introduced in APEX 4.0 as "legacy", unless you need a complete support on mobile devices. As already said, I would like to avoid completely the themes of quirks mode 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19 and 20.

    No one knows if they will become in the future

    Unlikely. A few fairly important bugs in original/first themes have never been fixed, so it is unlikely that Oracle will spend any effort to change them in the future.

    is it possible to migrate their?

    Regarding the themes inherited from 'real' quirks mode (marked with a ' * ' and listed above), my advice would be Don ' t bother. IMO, none of them are visually interesting enough to be worth the effort. Migration would imply:

    1. Adding a DOCTYPE HTML5 at all page templates to the trigger standards mode
    2. Validate the HTML code for all models
    3. Modify the HTML code to make it as standards compliant as possible
    4. Validate the CSS for all style sheets
    5. Edit the CSS to make it as standards compliant as possible
    6. The appearance test, dynamic behavior and accessibility in all required browsers
    7. Fixing of Visual rendering, dynamic behavior and accessibility (HTML, CSS and JS)
    8. Repeat 2 until levels required compliance to standards, rendering, dynamic behavior and accessibility are met.

    It's not trivial.

    What are the implications of the use of one of the old legacy themes?

    The themes 'true' legacy to be run in quirks mode, there will be problems with:

    • Lack of support for some features of APEX 4.x (for example, selectors of the region and interactive reports on the theme)
    • Incompatibility with jQuery waiting / requires the standard mode
    • Incompatibility with modern browsers and devices (pre - 4.x themes have been designed to be compatible with IE6 and equivalent browsers)
    • Incompatibility with modern HTML and CSS features due to running in quirks mode (there is a problem in Internet Explorer more than other browsers)
    • Accessibility issues
    • Difficulty overall customization appearance due to the incorporation of Visual elements (images and background colors) in table HTML layouts

    Designed for Internet Explorer, the situation is much worse. Basically, there is no support for everything that didn't work in IE6 (for some values of 'work'). This means no CSS3, no support for many useful things from the CSS 2.1 (e.g. attribute selectors) specification and no support for the various elements and HTML attributes.

    For the themes "inherited" standards mode, there will be fewer questions, probably mainly related to accessibility and support for non-bureau devices.

    See also was content to change the Page size for a similar description.

    Version 5 will implement some new themes?

    Yes.

    Are at - it somewhere that Ive missed all good themes 'out there'... ?

    Third party themes are available (usually for a price) from various places.

    What other ways are there to customize the new themes... (and Im not a Web Designer and not a CSS expert either)?  Is there a generic method of simple method to change the topics without hours exploring CSS... (for example by changing the general theme to a more obvious color..)

    Probably not. Especially for a novice not familiar with more advanced CSS techniques.

    My thought is around 5 or six changes their that change the appearance / colors/style throughout the entire application etc...

    This is likely to be amazingly difficult as the new themes make great use of the edge of CSS technical bleeding with several layers of rules to specify the appearance of a component. Heavy duty also includes CSS sprite images, which means that this customization requires editing of image as a substitute or changes to the CSS rules. See the following for examples:

  • Question about the design of conditional text

    Posted in the wrong forum, post again here.

    I have a relatively important book (230 pages) with dozens of tables and 100 graphics. I need 4 versions of this book. One for each grade level (3) and the other if happy for all 3 grades is sold as a "master class".  Other than the implementation of conditional text, the book is ready to go. I tried two different ways to approach the tables under certain conditions (some of which are within blocks of text, some just anchored to a page) but I do not quite understand.  Application of conditional text tags (with different colors and markers for each) seems to crash (i.e. almost duplicatable unlike the grave 'normal' down 3-4 I feel daily last month that are just randomly). Sidenote: I was very happy to see that they will solve the crash of book printing...

    Reference markers are involved in these conditional sections, and I have my suspicions that they are guilty of the root of my other problems of crash, but then FM crashed when applying conditional text to a section that * don't * have a x - ref, so I don't know what to think.

    I need to get out Monday. So my question is, if I need 4 tables in one page (one for each version) I better just do 4 copies of the book and the compilation of this way? I sold the customer on FM mainly due to the ability to compile several book of basic documents... so, I really hate to have 4 copies when I give the source. I know that you can select rows in a table for a version (so I could do a very large table for 3 versions and simply choose different lines), but this is one thing that seems almost certain to make it crash as well.  And the paintings of masters have an extra column, but also a line so I still need 2 tables by doc so I could get the conditional statements to stop crashing. Is there a better way to 'design', which could suggest an experienced FMer? Some custom utility which works even if it isn't free?

    Just in case someone asks:

    The system configuration

    FM 11

    new facility in August, not upgraded

    All the files are originally from FM11 and new

    Windows 7-64 bit

    20 GB of memory

    2 TB - local disc c /.

    Thanks for your suggestions on this.

    Well, it didn't crashed this morning when I put the x back references in the conditional table. Sent to fmerror with the steps for dupe.

    But on the mif wash. I've done it "manually" once a week now for the last two weeks. Can't say if it is to help, but it is always recommended, so I do. However, I was wondering if anyone had a recursive script that would do this automagically...

    Thank you

    Laurie

    Edit:

    Search mif washing (and variants) and nothing gets on the Adobe site. I figured out through a vague reference to an old thread where to find it and thought that I note for new users: If there is...

    Book MIF Wash is that a utility provided by Adobe that recursively traverses all the files in your book, opens, writes the .mif file then re-recorded this file to your FM - washing apparently file everything watered in your FM file. Manually, this process takes forever. And even if you see frequent references to: did you do a mifwash yet? "when someone has a problem, there is no documentation on what I found.

    It is a "sample" allowing Adobe script.

    Go whenever you have installed FrameMaker and navigate to the BookMIFWash folder or browse to the file BookComponentMIFWash.dll, which in my case was to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\AdobeFrameMaker11\Samples\ScriptsAndUtilities\BookMIFWash.

    Copy the file BookComponentMIFWash.dll in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\AdobeFrameMaker11\fminit.

    Restart the console.

    Then you will see that nothing has changed.  ;-)

    You must select the book with your mouse in the Document window, and then the menu item utilities book "dynamically" appears. Down there, you will find some MIF Wash book.

    I always pay attention to the warning to make sure that I have a copy of the entire project before running it. :-)

    Hope this helps someone else.

  • Question on the Distributor AW at the IPCC 7.0

    Hi all

    I have a question about the AW. When I restart the service AW, but I has not restarted the router of appeal and recorder service, I want to know if the recorder data will be synchronized in the AW DB when AW service is OK.

    All effort will be appreciated.

    Thank you & best regards

    CAI Yi

    Hello

    Data of AW databases are synchronized when th distributor returns once again.

    Configuration data are filled with the latest data in the configuration database of recorder, and all registers in the historical data in the paper are sent to the HDS, if you have configured a HDS instead of Distributor.

    You must take into account the retention period in Data Logger and the HDS, for historical data, so if you have problems in the AW, for example for 5 days and your retention period in the historical tables of the recorder is 4 days, when the AW synchronizes with the recorder you will have lost the historical data of these four days.

    Hope this helps,

  • Table nested @ schema - level how to extract the first clue?

    Hello

    My version of oracle database: 11g

    I present to you the code here and here are the steps by which I created a table and theres a regular column to the number, but the 2nd column is a nested table.

    (1) create or replace type s_def_NT_DepEmployees is table of the varchar2 (100);

    2)

    create the table employees_NT_test

    (number of department_id

    c_of_s_def_NT_DepEmployees s_def_NT_DepEmployees)

    nested as NTs_c_of_s_def_NT_DepEmployees table c_of_s_def_NT_DepEmployees store

    (3) now, I inserted 2 records:

    insert into employees_NT_test values (1, s_def_NT_DepEmployees ('Rahul', 'Myra'));

    insert into employees_NT_test values (2, s_def_NT_DepEmployees ('Rashi', 'Gaurav'));

    (4) now get me this sql allows employees of department_id: 1

    Select column_value

    table (select c_of_s_def_NT_DepEmployees in the employees_NT_test where department_id = 1);

    Output:

    Rahul

    Myra

    Now my question: I want to just choose the first clue: IE: rahul (and not myra) and it should be compatible such that if I select the two departments I should get my output like:

    Department_id | employees

    1                    | Rahul

    2                    | Rashi

    PS: I am looking for a sql query, I hope I presented my question clearly, if there are doubts please let me know.

    Thanks in advance

    Rahul

    Now my question: I want to just choose the first clue: IE: rahul(and not myra) and should be consistent

    You can only do in a deterministic manner, given the current design.

    Unlike PL/SQL, SQL has no way to access the items in the collection of their indices.

    We can think about using ROWNUM (or ROW_NUMBER) in a subquery, but the SCOREBOARD operator and later join operations do not guarantee that the order will remain the same in the different calls.

    You must redefine the collection 's_def_NT_DepEmployees' as an array of objects, and this object would include an index attribute explicitly on which you can filter.

    The alternative is to create a function that takes the collection and the index for the arguments and returns the element at index - but even in this case I'm not sure that oracle could rebuild deterministically collection either.

    Why use a table nested at all?

    Hello

    We are about to upgrade our environment vsphere 4.1 and 5.1. I have a question regarding the upgrade of the vcenter server. I guess I picked the new installation 2008 r2 express database? This will keep my DB inventory and just install the new DB SSO and tables?

    I read that you need to run som aswell from the installation CD SQL queries but are - that if you choose the existing database?

    hope you understand

    If you are doing a new installation of 51u1/5.1, the DB that is installed is 2k8R2 express... However, on the update from versions 4.x 2 k 5 db is preserved.

    Hello

    Oracle version: Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.1.0 - 64 bit

    I have a question about the localTimeStamp function. According to the documentation for this function is

    Consider the following example:

    SQL > insert into tmptab (colval) values (localTimeStamp);

    1 line of creation.

    SQL > select t1.colval, tmptab from t1;

    Thanks in advance,

    Then, when you do

    create table t (neck DATE);

    Insert into t (to_date ('1st January 2014', ' mon-dd-yyyy "");)

    Are you surprised that it works? After all a DATE column contains a time component, you do not provide: but he

    works and gives you 00:00:00 as the component "hour".

    Similarly, the timezone component is being developed to automatically with, I think, time zone of your system.

    Hi expert,

    WRONG FORUM!

    Welcome to the forum!

    Unfortunately, you have posted on the SQL Developer forum which, as the title of the forum is NOT for questions of SQL and PL/SQL.

    Please mark this thread ANSWERED and transfer your question in the forum SQL and PL/SQL
    SQL and PL/SQL

    When repost you your question, you must provide the DDL for the two functions, not only a query in them. And unless these functions use the pragma AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION and VALIDATION and then inserts into a table 'log' what they do will be not permanent anyway.

    You will also need to provide the number of rows that the SELECT query returns since if no line is activated, the first function cannot even be called.

    Where this question: why are you recording of information in the context of a still SELECT query? What goal are you trying to achieve this returns the loss of performance you pay?

  • Question on the ATAS storage

    I have a few questions on the role of the ATAS in ESX/ESXi.

    Depeding on what type of storage, you have there will be a certain ATAS selected. These ATAS are made for different SAN provider, for example:

    VMW_SATP_EVA
    VMW_SATP_EQL
    VMW_SATP_CX
    VMW_SATP_MSA
    VMW_SATP_LSI
    VMW_SATP_INV
    VMW_SATP_SVC
    .

    The ATAS manages failover if the active path fails, but why takes care of the need for specific failover of the seller? In other words, what is different between the paths for the two providers from the host perspective? A path for example a 'fail' in a different way or need to failover Eva performed in a different way to a path to EquaLogic?

    That ATAS 'interrogate' the path to detect problems or will he wait liabilities until the PSP times out and called the ATAS?

    Recently, I've been on a VMware customer support event were discussed, so I have a vision a bit on this topic now...

    I can only give a definitive answer to the last question: the PSP will signal the ATAS when it detects a path failure. The ATAS is that actively monitoring.

    I can also imagine that the vendor specific SATPs exist, because there are specific error codes of the seller that are used to signal the malfunctioning of the table. These must be interpreted correctly by the ATAS, and they will be evident for example in the SCSI sense codes which are also partially specific provider.

    Just my thoughts, can be somewhat speculative, so...

  • Basic question on the configuration of the OVD

    Hi gurus
    I have a basic question about the configuration of the TPM. I have all the "employees" in Active Directory and 'Employees + external users' in OID. The employee user password is maintained in AD, while the same for the external user is maintained in OID.

    Query:
    I need to configure authentication for an application for the employees present in the AD and present external users in OID. I have to join the profiles of employees present in AD and OID. Even if the employees are present in the OID, I don't want to configure for authentication of the OAM.

    How can I implement this using OAM and OVD.

    I got your condition.

    You said that OID contains external users as well as employees. You manage a container separated for employees in OID. If so, you job would be easy. If there is no container separated for employees on the OID and storing all users (employees and external users) in the same container (default: cn = Users, dc = xxx, dc is com) then you can get the list of AD users only with the following ldapsearch command:

    ldapsearch h Pei d 'cn = sleep '' w sub s b '' 'objectclass = user' SamAccountName

    Create three adapters OVD:

    1 adapter used (this should point to Active Directory)

    2. users adapter (when creating this, you have to exclude users AD, just similar to find the above option).

    3 create the adapter to store as the clubs above two adapters.

    Now, OAM should talk to store adapter.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

  • A few Questions about the advanced Actions window

    Hello

    I have a few questions about the progress of the Actions (using the version of track CP7)

    1. What is the function of the action to "continue?"   Out of the peak action and advance the playback cursor?

    2. What does mean this comment "Nested calls to action advanced is a nice improvement."? Is the advanced decision at the top of a page of action tabs?

    3. What is the function of the option "custom" in the IF statement - "preform action if - custom", it doesn't seem to do anything for me?

    4. where can I get information about the timeline / playhead interaction with advanced actions, i.e. where the playhead is going again at the beginning of the slide. slide custom question - display button, e.g. verification of responses, comments - when all the objects are at the beginning of the timeline. I'm looking more for the read head of infromation functionality rather than how to implement this type of question.

    Thank you

    Donal.

    Continue: If an advanced standard action is triggered by a button, this will not trigger the playback head. If you want out, you can use continues. Continue can also be a choice in a conditional action, when one orders branching has nothing to special, but in advance. Continuous is also the "dummy" statement/command (this is the official name of a line in the dialog box advanced actions) If a statement has become unusable due to some reasons, it will be replaced by continue

    There is no nested call stocks advanced possible right now, one of my many feature requests. It would be sort of a subroutine that you can use over and over again, instead of having to create each time when necessary.

    A decision is one of the conditions to be an advanced conditional action. They allow to create more complex actions, as a loop or arrays are not possible. All decisions are executed in sequence and always.

    Custom: is a combination of or but it is rather limited, because you cannot use parentheses.

    I guess you'd better visit my blog if you want to learn more about the advanced actions.

    I also did several Webinars on stocks advanced, last this afternoon (on the sharing of the actions) for Adobe. They are all available on request.

  • question about the call in the trigger statement

    I faced a question on the written examination.

    A CALL statement in a trigger to call
    package (a)
    procedure b)
    c function)
    (d) another trigger

    Can someone give me answer with reason?
    I used the CALL statement inside the trigger, but not allowing to use. Could be sooner in the oracle CALL statement, we can use... This isn't a guess, so I ask in the forum...
    Please guide me...

    Rgds,
    PC

    You can use the CALL in a trigger without using EXECUTE IMMEDIATE

    SQL> create table t1 (
      2    col1 number
      3  );

    Table created.

    SQL> create procedure t1_proc
      2  as
      3  begin
      4    dbms_output.put_line( 'In T1_PROC' );
      5  end;
      6  /

    Procedure created.

    SQL> ed
    Wrote file afiedt.buf

      1  create trigger trg_t1
      2    before insert on t1
      3    for each row
      4* call t1_proc
      5  /

    Trigger created.

    SQL> set serveroutput on;
    SQL> insert into t1 values( 1 );
    In T1_PROC

    1 row created.

    I see no reason that you would in fact intentionally structure your code this way in this day and age because it would be likely to lead to confusion for those who had to support it in the future. But it's a valid syntax that probably made sense back in Oracle 5.

  • Question of the effectiveness of UNION

    Explain the plan on a union involving several selects a single table means the table is read only once for each selection. But is this actually happens? Are there tips to control this? Conceptually the table could be read only once, and each line is read that it could be provided with each selection, 'feed' the data for each selection as a set of pipelines. This is perhaps what is happening behind the scenes, but I don't know how to check or control that is relevant to me because the table involved is very large, but a union of several chooses is easier to write and maintain.

    This example shows two queries that provide the same result to illustrate what I mean. The table can be read once by using a single select that switches on the data. But the logic to pass values like this can get ugly pretty quick. A query of the unions allows each to be as simple as possible, but it seems to force the table to be read several times. Suggestions on how to optimize a popular union.

    This is Oracle Database 10 g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0.

    create table t1 (val1 val2 val3 number, number, type);

    insert into t1 (1, 21, 31, 1) values;

    Well, the questions on the UNION, but your example has UNION ALL (they are not equivalent).

    In the latest version of the basis of the answer (for UNION ALL) is Yes using factorization of join.

    http://blogs.Oracle.com/optimizer/entry/optimizer_transformations_join_factorization

    That be answered, they technically correct answer would be to fix the data model. Having COL_1, COL_2, COL_X... usually reflects a design flaw.
