Questions of additional storage on a Pailion HPE

I have a Pavilion HPE which was called a H8XT when I ordered it. The body contains a name of model H8 - 1260t.  It has a 160 GB SSD and an additional 1 TB drive. The 1 TB is no longer enough which brings me 2 questions

If I add a third food drive will be enough? If there is doubt, I can just switch that which exists to a greater.

How will I know if I use a Sata III player?  (At speeds Sata III?)

I'm almost hoping that I can not. I'm not all that comfortable working under the hood, so I can't take advantage of Sata III I'll probably just replace the old disk to a bigger and in this way I can reuse the existing cable and I don't even have to mess with the end of the motherboard.  Probably looks like nothing to you guys, but I will breath much easier than messing around with one of the ends.

Hello

Your PC is configured for three hard disks.  Review the specifications for your PC.

It should not be a power problem by adding a third hard drive unless maybe you add a hard drive of 10K or 15K rpm.  Hard drive SATA III 7200 RPM type will work without causing feeding problems.

A SATA III or SATA III hard drive will work on your PC. However, the motherboard has only two SATA III ports. See the image below.

You can choose which devices (SSD more one HD for use with SATA III) you want to have the speed of SATA III connections.  Hard disk type SATA III 7200 RPM compared to a hard disk SATA II 7200 RPM is only going to be 10% or so faster due to the speed of data transfer detach support for rotation.

These HP How-to - articlesshould be useful.  You will need a data cable SATA with the new hard drive. You should be able to locate a replacement power supply connector near the existing hard drives.

  • as additional storage mSATA SSD

    Hi all

    I have a touchsmart Envy 15-j003ed E4A07EA #ABH with a 4700mq I7, HP mainboard 1963.

The laptop came with a rather slow disk 5400 RPM. I changed this to a Kingston Hyper X 120 GB SSD sata 3. Which works very well. However, I would like to have some more space on board. Also only 4 GB of ram is installed I would spend it.  Related to it have 3 questions:

    (1) can I put a 120 GB or more in the slot msata SSD and use it as an extra hard drive? Not as a cache or almost...

    (2) or that it will be fast to do the startup disk msata ssd and use my current SSD storage?

    3) associated with the RAM, the specs give 1600 mhz speed, but the site of Kingston gives 1866 mhz as on option for the replacement, I use 1866 mhz?

Thank you very much in advance for your answer!

Yes, you can install a card from the WSSD in the slot mSATA for additional storage, but if you think that you can pick up just a larger SSD standard for less money extra. mSSDs have not yet appreciated the fall of wholesale prices we are seeing on 2.5-inch SSD. The WSSD cannot be a boot disc if you also have a standard 2.5-inch drive in the machine, which would be faster is a bit questionable. If possible, a WSSD would be a bit faster, but both are fast, it isn't a big deal.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See page 44 for instructions of the WSSD.

The memory just be sure you get 1.35 volts or DDR3L memory. The manual says that it runs at 1600 mhz, so if you install the variety of 1866 he will just downclock.

  • Assignment of additional storage in the workspace

    Hello

There should be a simple answer to this question, but as I can't find it, I would be happy to help :)

How can I request additional storage to a workspace as additional storage for admin/assign workspace as an admin of apex in v. 3.1?

The manual (request Express User Guide Release 3.1) seems to refer to version 3 or earlier?

    Thank you!

    Hello

You can approve the limits of the workspace through:

    http://localhost: 8080/apex/apex_admin

You can request changes to workspace through the limits

Home > Administration > service management

    Then click on storage request.

  • Additional storage on a single account ID

I have two identifiers ICloud and purchased additional storage on a single account, (I did on this product because it had exhausted all free storage when he tried to support) Unfortunately, it was for the device which is the oldest of my Apple products.  My new products have a different ID and are all related, but space additional iCloud is related to the device like can I change the new ID older device or new devices to ID old so I can use the paid for extra storage?  Did I lose information about devices?

You cannot change the account so that the storage is, but you can cancel it and buy storage for the account that you need to. Or you can sign the account in the ID of the other. You lose the data on the old account, so download it first.

  • Buy additional storage

How to buy additional storage for iCloud? I would like to than the 50 GB of storage.

I used the old ID because she would not accept a new one, I put in last night. What is going on?

I have change my Apple ID to lambert58@satx,rr,com about 1/2 year ago. I used it for a long time, Lorelei Lambert

  • Can we use WWAN SLOT to add additional storage in T430S

    Hello people,

I just wanted to see if any body tried this before.

I ordered T430S with 128 GB SSD and writable DVD in the Bay.

I was wondering if I can use the WWAN slot to add any additional storage?

    Appreciate any insight/suggestions

You can add an mSATA SSD of desired capability, and it will be displayed in Windows as another drive.

  • Cannot use additional storage on HARD drive replacement

I have a Dell Poweredge T105 with a SAS 6IR controller. It is running Windows Server 2008 R2. It has a 40Gb C: drive which has the OS on it. D: drive is used to store data and use the rest of the capacity of the disk.

Because of low disk space, I replaced the original Western Digital RE3 500 GB drives with Western Digital RE4 2 TB drives, they are configured as a RAID 1 array. After leaving each reader to reconstruct I was always showing an array of 500 GB that I understand that should be the case.

When I look in the Windows user interface for the controller it shows the additional 1.5 to the banks as reserved, Windows Explorer and disk management show only the 500 GB and none free unallocated space. Also the rate negotiated for new readers shows that 1.5 GB instead of 3 GB.

    My questions are:-

    1. I can I use the 1.5 to extra without losing data. How is that possible?

    2. how to get readers to negotiate to 3 GB.

    Thank you in advance.

You can only do with a SAS 6/iR controller. The 6 SAS is a controller of entry level with very limited capabilities. ((1) you cannot increase the size of an existing array, and 2) you cannot have multiple bays in the same set of disks.

PERC 6 / i controller is a controller of high-end and would give you more flexibility and options, but is not officially supported in a T105. With the PERC 6, you could create a second table on the disks (would be presented to the operating system as another "drive" for storage).

Your 'best' option is to make a backup and restore the data to create a new, larger RAID 1.

  • General question about adding storage Readynas 204

I have Readynas204 on x-raid with three discs of 3 TB sends me some 5.45 TB of storage. Yesterday I added another 3 TB and readynas recognized without any problems but the storage size has not changed. I installed the new drive straight out of the box and I don't think that it should reformat because the drive status is green and the 'Format' button is grayed. The State is green, but that is to say the reconstruction of the volume. My question is I am suppsed to see the storage of 8,38 to size once the volume rebuild process is finished? or I suppsed to see increased storage size rightaway after adding the 4th disc? Thought I should ask this here first before submitting a ticket. Thank you

You should see the larger size when the rebuild is complete.

  • New ESX5 host - questions see SAN storage data and much more

Just installed a new vSphere host 5 and added to a cluster with 2 x 3.5 host (in my vCenter Server 5)

    3 questions.

    1. I can't see LUN (on SAN datastore). Have zoned out my new HBA etc and still no joy. Tried the host that it recharges and rescan option etc. Any ideas?

2 - my 3.5 hosts I was able to specify different default gateways for my Console and VMKernel Service (both on the same vswitch). I have the Service Console configured vmkernel. 10.16.5.x and 172.16.5.x (I know there is no Service Console in vSphere 5\ESXi) but on my ESX5 host I can't specify different gateways for VMKernel and network management. I'm afraid that vmotion etc will not work between 3.5 hosts and host 5, because although the VMkernels have addresses in the same range, they have not the same gateway. I have to add a local route on the host ESX 5? Or am I wrong configured somewhere?

3 minor irritation. My local drive in my new server is showing that the data store. Can it be hidden or changed to not be visible in the data store? I want to only display my SAN data stores.

    Thank you very much

    Steve

    (1) sounds like a SAN configuration problem - you should be able to see the LUN masking and zoning is correct in the FC switch and storage array.

    (2) you could specify wear two ways because the vmkernel and the Service Console were different and supposed to be on different networks - you no longer have a gateway single vmkernel - traffic will work as long as they are on the same subnet - a gateway is used only when you exit the subnet

    (3) I do not think it is possible to hide the local data store - but I could be wrong

  • Additional storage/memory requirements to add BI Publisher?

Hello, all. I'm running an OEM 12.1.0.2.0 (about to try to apply the recent 12.1.0.2.1 PSU, patch 14840279) inside a Solaris 10 x86_64 box. He was given about 12-16 GB of memory for a small deployment. I have a 11.2.0.3 Oracle database repository and the 12cR2 OEM running on the same box. Set, which feeds to the top

Looking at the feature of report of OEM12c, they have always let us use editor, but clearly the State information in the documents (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/information_publisher.htm#BGBGDBCG) that the new development is DISCOURAGED. I'm worried about how to develop the reports now... I suppose we must all go to an Oracle BI heavyweight Publisher solution now. My question is, how much more is it heavy? I am a DBA and did not have a lot of experience running middleware.

I've been watching the BI Publisher docs (Oracle® Fusion Middleware Installation Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence)
11 g Release 1 (11.1.1) - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/bi.1111/e10539/c3_requrmnts.htm) requirements, section but it points me to the main download of Oracle Fusion Middleware section.

I navigate to finally land on the Oracle® Fusion Middleware system requirements and specifications for Oracle Forms and reports 11g Release 2 (11.1.2) (http://docs.oracle.com/html/E25460_01/r2_fr_requirements.htm).

I assume that I have need to 2 GB of physical memory and memory of 4 GB + swap for my installation of Solaris (UNIX).

Does anyone know if the 2 GB is for a new installation, or if I could get away with less if I already had an OEM installation? We never had size our generation for DB + OEM + agent + BI.

Check the guide adv config... on 2 GB of additional memory sizing is required.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24628_01/install.121/e24089/sizing.htm#autoId15

    BI Publisher Configuration

If you plan to integrate BI Publisher version 11.1.1.5 with Enterprise Manager version 12 c Cloud control, what is needed for BI Publisher reporting function, add 1.5 GB for memory above host requirements.

Because you were a paying elements more customer, you should have received a refund for the rest of the year, a free subscription of one year to Revel Premium (unlimited downloads) and a free upgrade to 11 items. Your jpg files migrated to Revel, so you should be all set.

You don't have a limit of storage with Revel. Free users are limited to 50 downloads per month, but you have the premium for a year.
