Questions of virtual volume B3

When you select any virtual B3 organ in a channel strip and reading via a midi keyboard/controller, backing tracks I brought playback channel strips extreme excessive power of the volume on the band of B3. The backing tracks are usually files AIF of GarageBand, band in a box or iTunes songs.

I tried setting the volume max on support of securities in half but still volume of bodies is low at best in comparison.

As recommended (somewhere), my max allowed on the bands B3 volume is + 6.0db. I don't know if I should push this superior way or what.

What is an expected result of a midi instrument? I don't notice it on Pianos, synths or some other instrument channels I tried.

Thank you.

You can increase the volume in the B3 plugin. The default volume is set at-6.

  • Question about the volume on several virtual machines sharing

    Hey!

Try to use vmkfstools on Vi remote CLI, but he says that he is not recognized as an internal or external command... Is there an easy way to share data between several virtual machines? If so, how? Also if we are implementing raid 5 are we building our vitrual (windows 2008 Server) with the typical c: or d: drives? That is to say. You put the Windows Server 2008 on a separate virtual C: drive and data on a disk separate from virtual D:? Or is it no more? What about the Windows swap files? Must create us virtual drives, JUST for page files? Sorry I know this is a lot, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    1. is there an easy way to share data between several

virtual machines? If so, how? A CIFSor NFS share would be preferable. Since I got you guess the VMS are mainly Windows you want to go with a CIFS share. You can run a virtual NAS appliance  (http://www.openfiler.com/community/download/)

Also if we are implementing raid 5 are we building

our vitrual Server (windows server 2008) with the typical c: or d: drives?

That is to say. You put the Windows Server 2008 on a separate virtual C: drive

and the data on a virtual disk from D:? Or does not everything

more? Yes design you virtual as your physical systems i.e. separate Boot/system information application. just build you VMs how you would with physical systems (especially true of SQL or Exchange).

What about the Windows swap files? We create virtual drives

Yet, ONLY for page files? Never did it for physical so no systems

  • REALLY stupid question about virtual machines and disks of cancellations.

I'm a bit hesitant to ask this question because it might make me look stupid, but...

When I'm done using Virtual PC and a virtual machine running Windows XP Pro with Vista 64 Home Premium because the host os, often I did not any significant changes to the hard disk of the virtual machine.

What I save gets saved to a network share on my server for files and printing from Win98 and saved on a flash drive.

Assuming that I do no configuration changes or anything else I want to keep, is there a reason barely stopping properly when I 'cancellations discs' enabled?

Any reason, I can not save time by pressing the 'X' button and choose 'disable and remove changes '?

I am aware of patches, but took me to inform me of the patches, and I can get patches when it's convenient for me and I always validate changes when I install the patches. I'm not using it for anything other than my classes of the school of the evening for the time being, so it is not much of a value of protection on the virtual machine, and I used to write papers on the host operating system. I just use the virtual machine to play with the admin tools in an environment where I can easily fix it a massive screw-up without spending hours to reinstall Windows.

    Hey SlickRCBD,.

Not a stupid question at all! :)

It's very well hit the X when you have activated the disks of cancellations. And corruption or problems with the active virtual machine will be resolved when using the drive to cancel it.

  • Questions of Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection

OK I did some research on the private network connections, and I have a few questions:

    • Is it true that a connection to a vpn is possible thanks to a transport to a Wi - fi (I want to connect to a network non - bes)?
    • As far as I know, you can connect to a vpn only if create you a vpn manually account via the phone options menu. Is it possible to programmatically create the connection without having to manually create the profile?
    • This connection can be established via a proxy server?
    • Any article or the sample code will be really appreciated

BlackBerry Smartphones have supported integrated to connect through a VPN using WiFi.  Other transport routes are not supported out of the box for this.

There is no way to programmatically configure a VPN.  Virtual private networks can be configured on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server and pushed to users.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server is able to connect through a proxy server.  All of the BlackBerry Java API does not include API to manage proxy communications.

  • Question about virtual disk

I have a qustion about virtual disks

I assigned 5 GB on a virtual disk. Then I realized that I need more space, so I changed to 20 GB.

When I have energised the VM, it always complained not enough space. Even if I 'clearpart-set' in the startup script.
I ended up remove the virtual disk and create a new one to solve the problem.

"It seems that this partition table/information is always on the disc and kickstart' cleartpart all ' did not clean.

How to solve the problem? instead of creating a new virtual disk?

    Thank you!

  • Question about virtual cores

Sorry if this has been asked somewhere else.  I tried to find the answer but am still confused.

If I have a virtual host 24 hearts with 3 under VMs.

I guess the best way to ask my question by describing two hypothetical scenarios.

Scenario 1: I assign 1 virtual kernel for each machine.

Scenario 2: I assign 8 Virtual cores for each machine.

Each VM will have more CPU power in scenario 2?   Now, my assumption is that each virtual machine will be allocated 33% of the CPU in both scenarios, but I fear that scenario #1 will leave a lot of unused CPU power.

    Thank you.

If I understand correctly, in other words, the amount of GHz... MHz... etc available to VMS is based on the value of the shares, so, based on your two scenarios, each will have 33 percent of the shares. Performance of virtual machines depends on how applications behave in MP. VMs CPU scheduling also changes with the number of vCPUs configured.

Testing is the best way to answer this question.

  • RAID 1 hardware and ESXi - host not to see the virtual volume

Please bear with me as I try to explain this issue in detail.

I have an ESXi server.  He has a number of virtual machines and works.  This server has a LSI RAID controller and had a single hard drive connected to this controller.  I'm allergic to non redundant drives, so I added a second drive and, from BIOS boot from the RAID controller (before initialization of the server itself), I created the mirror and had the controller 'rebuild' the second disc, copy of an image of the first record on.  The controller did and displays a virtual (in BIOS) volume in a RAID 1 volume consisting of two physical disks.

At this point, I expect from any server OS to see the single volume.  However, ESXi, at startup, see both drives hard physical (apparently without taking into account the supposed configuration of the controller, which is strange for me), and because they contain all the two identical copies of the ESXi installation, it purple-screens to complain about two identical UUID.  When I work around this error with the start command line option 'overrideDuplicateImageDetection', ESXi starts on one of the two disks.  vSphere shows the two disks and physical disks, mounted in the system.

I'm relatively certain that the RAID card maintains the mirror.  The second disc is not part of a data store.  I would prefer ESXi see the mirror as the only logical volume so-called offer the RAID card, but I'll settle for ESXi, ignoring the second unit of disk in total.

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    H.

    Hello

Some RAID controllers operating in RAID or RAID configuration. If no RAID is created, it will work like the generic SCSI cards and when a RAID is created then it will become an appropriate raid controllers. When you installed the ESXi map was probably operating in non RAID and later converted to a RAID controller mode. Please check the drivers loaded in the kernel of ESXi and if necessary, please include the RAID controller module and re build the boot image.

Is it possible to give me the model number of the LSI RAID you use and the output of the inscription of the kernel module. I think that these dual-mode controllers were possible on older models of server, not sure that they are always available. I used to see this kind of problems with Linux in ancient times.

  • Question about SRM volume requirements

I set up a validation of SRM principle (5.0.1) a few weeks ago and fell on this issue, but ended up ignoring at the time because it was not a major problem. Now, however, I need to solve it. Basically, I got a volume NFS containing a cluster of virtual machines, which some I only wanted to recover in the second site through SRM. However, when you create a protection group, I have been unable to add only the virtual machines; I could only operate by adding all the virtual machines on this volume.

This is the expected behavior? If this is not the case, how can I configure MIS so that I can retrieve only certain virtual machines on a volume and others not?

    Thank you.

    Hux,

This is normal.  When you use array based replication, SRM protects virtual machines at the data store level.  Really, there are two ways around this:

    1. create a new NFS volume and move the virtual machines that you want to protect that will separate your protégé of unprotected.

    2. you can use vSphere replication which is a new feature within the RS 5.  Make sure you read the conditions required for this.  Quick note on this point - failback is not yet available for vSphere replication if it is supposed to be implemented in a future release.

    I hope this helps!

  • ASM 4.0 SmartCopy question "not accessible volume writable".

    Hello

I just try to rerun a SmartReplica Collection on a server W2003 SQL (2 nodes). Labour ran well before, but we must stop him several months.

I managed the issue of space, when I try to run the replication (a lot of data was waiting), there is no warning on my ASM, but I can't create SmartCopy. Menu are disabled.

Vss volume control is connected ISCSI initiators.

Replication works well when I launched it by the Group Manager.

I checked the volume settings, multiple access is checked, the real node where I run own ASM Quorum and volumes.

I have modified the VSD/VSS table from "Unrestricted" access to CHAP and restarted ASM services, same problem.

I have another table with ASM 3.5.1 and connected on the same table without problem. Even after change of VSS access, there is no problem.

    Could you help me?

    Thank you

    I answer myself ^^

In this case, the "Volume shadow copy" service has been disabled.

Don't forget it's activate before the host State of discount.

  • Questions of Virtual VCS

    Hi all

I played with the VMWare VCS inage we bought.  I currently have it running on my primary production ESXi server, and it works fine.  I'm preparation/testing of recovery after a disaster.  So I created a virtual RESUME OVF, however when I restore the FVO to my secondary server ESXi the VCS change S/Ns and all keys are then invalid.  Am I missing something?

  • Questions of virtual switch VMware ESX 4.0

I have two vmnic that I use for the service console, I have a current value and the other on the eve.  On the collection of NETWORK Adapters tab, I settled on 'Route based on the original virtual port code' load balancing.

I have six vmnic used for a network of Virtual Machine, I have all of them the value active.  On the collection of NETWORK Adapters tab I I settled on "Route based on ip hash" load balancing.

I have two vmnic used for a VMkernel network, I have all of them the value active.  On the collection of NETWORK Adapters tab I I settled on "Route based on ip hash" load balancing.

I have the service console cables dating back to a Cisco Catalyst 3560 G, I don't have something special with these ports installation.

I have the cables of the VM network dating back to a Cisco Catalyst 3560 G, I'm recommendations on this article: http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1004048

I configured 3 groups of channels on the Cisco for each ESX Server (with 6 ports each in each group). What should I do for the configuration of load balancing. In the best practices guide, it shows src-dst-ip. CBC - mac is set to by default etherchannel. If I turn it on to src-dst-ip I have to configure any IP address on the Cisco as the dst - ip or etherchannel takes care of that. What is the best practice for blaance of etherchannel load config?

I have the VMkernel network goes to the two HP ProCurve 2910al switch.  I would like to divide one of each vmnic between two switches.  Not configure anything at the level of the switch for this?

I would be grateful the help, thanks again.

Although each ESX Server will require its own port-channel group independently. So you will have at least the same number of channel groups of port you have esx servers.

There isn't any problem with not not using circuits.  If you are ending in expansion and maybe a different subnet for your virtual machine to access the creation, then channels will be required to spend more than one vlan to the port-channel group.

    Hope that helps!

  • Question about virtual private networks on 5510

    Hello

I have a client who is migrating to a Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator to an ASA 5510 for VPN connections.

All users connect to a group name currently on the 3000, which has a space in it.  On the ASA when I'm doing this am the ASA accepts only a group without spaces in there name.  Is there a solution that will allow us to use spaces in the name of the Group on the SAA?

Can I get some advice on why it is not possible to have a space in the name of the Group?  Why Cisco have removed this feature?
