Questions: product key for Win 7 Home Prem-64 bit on renovated 6000 HP Office

Hello

I'm looking for assistance. A few questions about my product key and my type of PC.

I bought a refurbished Hewlett Packard 6000 PC from Best Buy in 2011 and it is come preinstalled (no windows disk) with Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) OS. It is authentic.

It has 2 hard drives. The big one is a 750G which has 2 partitions (part devoted only to the BONE and space remaining for usual use and still has plenty of space to breathe (585G).) Then, there is a disc of 14G it's strictly for the restoration of windows and recovery. It is nearly full with about 1 G to save.

I am not sure I want 10 Windows because it seems to be so many problems and I cannot afford a new PC hardware or download new software at the moment and I need my PC for a living. I use Norton 360 Security and backup on an external hard drive at the moment.

1) if I try Win 10 and decide I don't like, I will always be able to return to my original Windows 7 Home Premium?

2) if I need, can I use my product key with another disc of Windows 7 Home Premium is exactly what I have installed now (did not come with my PC), or is it illegal? I do not want to break the law or action illegal without knowing it.

Since Windows 10 came out, I had problems with my PC more.

From what I can tell, t seems to behave more like a "domain server" one "computer staff home.»

I restored it to factory twice during this time settings, but I keep my automatic windows update and I wonder if there may be some updates that should not be installed due to the release of 10 windows that add to the question.

3) when it passes through their free offer 10 widows, it is a full version? And does go from Win 7 to 8 Win, then to win 10? Or just have it go right to win 10 of Win 7?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Installation of the HP factory is the worst install of Windows, you can have, entrelardé a ton of bloatware that duplicates and interferes with the older versions of built-in features of the operating system, suffers from endless problems.  Therefore no tech fan would have never run the installation of the factory (or an upgrade on Windows 10 place) but prefer clean reinstall Windows 7 with the product key on the COA sticker.

Now check if the product key on the COA sticker is there and readable.  It took for them to sell you Windows software pre-installed to legally.

If Yes, then you can solve all these problems at once by a Clean install Windows 10 Upgrade skip the product key during install then after activation with your Windows 7 key.  As long as stick you with tools and methods in the link that you will have no problem because there is no reported for those who follow.

Do not hesitate to ask back and let us now how it goes.

  • How to activate Win 7 Home Premium SP1 if I have a product key for Win 7 Home Premium without SP1

I bought the Dell with pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium computer. I recently had a problem with the firewall system and found that the only solution is to reinstall Windows. I downloaded .iso with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 because my current version has been already upgraded to SP1. After that I installed it, it asked me to enter the product key. I have provided the product key, but he says it's a bad touch and I realized that my product key must be for Windows 7 Home Premium without SP1.

If you have downloaded a Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 integrated, you should be able to use the product key located on the COA sticker in the battery compartment.

Skip entering product key and complete the installation.

Click Start, right click on computer

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click on the link 'change product key '.

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

If you have a computer on which the product has been installed AND it is a retail version of XP Home (not a version installed at the factory where you never entered the label key), you can use a program of keyfinder to retrieve.  I usewww.magicaljellybean.com keyfinder program for this purpose.  Even if you have a hard drive that had the operating system installed on it and it still can be read in another computer then the tool load the hive in this program will be found the product key.  Otherwise, you're out of luck.

    Hello

Don't post phone numbers, or online product keys, if you want not your product key is to fly

You tell us what type of license you have.

If the laptop came with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.), this product key supplied with the laptop is preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.

OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) is related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when dies of this machine.

The above applies also to OEM system builders licenses.

License of operating system in detail, that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.

And retail licenses also can be installed on a machine at one time.

If you bought a computer with Windows preinstalled would a certificate of authenticity (COA) sticker somewhere on your computer. • Accidentally, I installed my product key for Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional. Is there a possible way to activate Windows with this key?

Activate Windows 7: Home Premium on professional product key - please help!

    Hello world

I hope you can help me!
I have a product key for Windows 7 Home Premium. I downloaded it online when I bought it so that I never received a disc to reformat. Someone at work gave me their CD to reformat.
After you reformat and reinstall ALL my programs, I went to activate Windows 7 again. Guess what? Turns out that I used Windows 7 Professional to reformat.
Really, I don't want to go through reformatting and reinstalling everything and don't even know if I'll be able to get my hands on a CD to reformat Windows 7 Home Premium.
Is there anyway can I still activate my product key for Windows 7 Home Premium Windows 7 Professional? In any case I can exchange my Home Premium product key to a professional one? I love how my computer is currently configured and won't do anything else that just activate my legitimate version of Windows 7!
Thank you all in advance for your time.
    Ramon

The only way to do it would be to buy a license for Pro-

Since you have already apparently a licnese to Home Premium, you could buy an upgrade, and then create a repair install with the new key.

If you bought a full Pro license, you will be able simply to insert your new key and activate that.

  • can I switch from 32-bit win vista home prem 64-bit win vista home prem?

can I switch from 32-bit win vista home prem 64-bit win vista home prem?

Yes, you can, but you need to back up and do a custom installation. There is no place on the way to upgrade from Windows Vista 32 bit to 64 bit.

Installation and relocation of Windows Vista
Back up your files - Microsoft Corporation: software, Smartphones...

Boot from the Windows Vista DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows Vista click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Cannot find the product key for Windows 7 Home Premium

I don't have the product key of Windows 7 Home Premium? Where can I find it?

    Original title: Charles 111

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

I would like to ask you:

    • Did you buy Windows 7, or was it pre-installed on your PC?

If you bought a copy of Windows 7, you must have the drive and the product key is on the cover of the disc or the disc itself.

If Windows was preinstalled on your PC, there could be a sticker anywhere on the system with a product key to this topic.

Note: Not all PC makers provide the key on a sticker on the machine body. You may need to contact them for the same thing.

Let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you further.

  • 2 product keys for Windows 7 Home premium service pack for laptops

I was told that on computers laptops there are two product keys for Windows 7, one is already activated by the manufacturer and one is on the bottom of the laptop on the sticker. Therefore, it is possible to use the one that is on the sticker, which is not one that is initially using the laptop?

Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:

    (A) OEM SLP: this key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

    (B) SLP COA: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but must be used only in certain situations (for example, if the OEM SLP key stops automatic activation for a reason any). The key must be activated by phone. (Note: all manufacturers that use the SLP OEM system are bound by contract to include a certificate of Authenticity sticker (COA), which has a COA SLP key, on the computer)

  • can I use a disk the retail of home prem win7 with a serial key of win 7 home prem, found on my computer hp laptop?

Can I use a disc of Windows 7 Home Premium retail with my Windows 7 Edition serial key Home Premium at the back of my HP laptop for a new installation of Windows?

I know not what banhiem story and why he thinks that it's illegal, but it's fine as long you run version and the retail version, that you intend to install.

Install as a trial and when everything is up and running, right click on computer and go to properties. He will say at the bottom of this page click "change product key" on it and follow the instructions to enter your product key for laptops.

I've been running my dv8 in this way, and it's been a year. Microsoft would have locked me out now if it was illegal.

The other choice is to simply do a system restore and it will be an option to make a minimum restore image, this will get rid of most of the bloatware. Note that this option is available on the newer machines.

Things like the HP Support Assistant and Media Smart program will always be there, you can simply uninstall them if you wish.

Preinstalled Windows OSes of lenovo is already active, it is surprising that yours is not enabled. I suggest you contact lenovo CS.

In case you did a clean install, you must have created a recovery disc for XP first then these discs contain a picture of Windows preinstalled [pre-activated] and other lenovo software:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-68317

As Microsoft Office, the version provided with thinkpads is the trial, unless expressly ordered a license at the time of purchase.

    It will be useful.
